Hi Andrew.I called around several shops looking for a specific helmet. The staff on the phone was pleasant, she went and doubled checked the model and size I was looking for. I told her I would stop by before closing.I got there and admired some of the beautiful old Triumphs, BMW’s and even a sweet old Bultaco as I was wandering around looking at the small display of helmets. When I made a full circle of the show room, I was asked if I was looking for something. I told him I was there to buy a helmet, and he pointed up and said they’re upstairs. As I have two bad knees that are set for full replacement starting this coming fall, I asked if there was an elevator? And he said no, pointed again as he said upstairs and walked off. If he hadn’t of, I would of asked if they could bring it down to try on and buy. But since he was rude and walked away, I walked away too. Found a great helmet at the House of Harley where the staff was respectful and helpful. It was only a a helmet purchase but it was a sour enough experience that I won’t be returning. And you have no accommodations for the disabled? Or staff with patience enough for me to even ask another question before scowling and walking away?

Love stopping in to visit with Don and see all the eye candy on wheels sitting around, this time I came home with a new bike. Too often I have found that when I go to a shop looking for something, especially with regard to vehicles, motor sports or techno things, even with a little internet research, I am unfortunately more knowledgeable than the sales associate. This is a bummer because I go in to ask questions to help my decision in buying the item that fits my needs best.This was not the case with The Motorcycle Shop. Andrew, the sales manager, was a wealth of knowledge. Why? Because he rides bikes himself and knew tons about all the bikes I was interested in discussing. They had great products and the pricing was on par with other shops. I had a much better experience the second time around. The staff was attentive and helped me with all my questions the manager even reached out to make sure I had a good experience so I will continue to shop here. I bought some clothing and im in the market for a new pair of boots and this shop is on top of my list for choices to buy from.

We bought our first Teryx through Andrew! He was great. The process was easy and pain free. Once we knew what we wanted we were able to do it all over the phone and email. He was not pushy. Andrew asked us if we had questions or needed anything then he let us do our thing. I dont like pushy people or being rushed and I didnt feel that at all going into the motorcycle shop. This will be my go to shop if I ever need anything else kawasaki related. They are so friendly and helpful.

This post is a retraction to an earlier review. 2020 has been a time of change for many us and my experience at the motorcyle shop the last couple of days has been amazing. The new service manager is a really nice and competent guy. The work was professional and efficient. I could not be happier. The owner spent a lot of time with us as well and really helped us decide on a new bike. We look forward to making a purchase this winter.

What a great experience buying my KTM 1090Adventure. Andrew was extremely professional and upfront concerning pricing. Pretty much our go-to location for parts and advice in town. I started a naked-project rebuild on a Ninja 500 and the staff of this shop helped with every single aspect of the process, from the legal inspections to the aftermarket parts advice.When I bought a used GS800 theyve been there to help with all the funky upgrades Ive made so far, occasionally showing me some personal tips.Great staff and immaculate facilities. Cant go wrong here.

I just bought a bike, not only did they show me everything my bike had, but dropped it off (thank you Alaska and the snow) but was super nice the whole process! Kept me in the loop, and every person who handled everything was super nice! From the buying the bike, to drop off, even the parts so I can get a ramp!

I have bought a total of 5 motor cycles from them over the past two years and have had nothing less than an excellent experience. From knowledgeable sales staff that actually knows their product to an excellent service department and in shop availability to get all the gear and accessories you could want. If you want a quality experience and a quality bike and dont want to drink the Harley coolaid the motorcycle shop is the place you want to go.

My last time I went in there was to check to see if I still had credit for gear after buying a bike from them, the lady, Sarah I believe, was helping me by being very rude and snobby. The sales team is great but everyone else around there not so much, just was given rude experiences for asking simple questions.

I am new to biking. I bought a used R1200 GS from The Motorcycle Shop and I cannot be happier with the friendly, knowledgeable staff there. Every person I have interacted with there has been kind and helpful to this novice. Please forgive me if I misspell any names: Andrew in sales, Sarah and Bryan in parts, Kate in service have all been patient and helpful to me. I am leaving out the names I don’t know, the mechanic who provided details on the change I wanted, the guy in service who was also helpful, and another guy in sales who patiently answered my newby questions.I love it when I find a place with good staff, this is one of those places.

I went in the shop expecting to get a new bike, and I did. They were not pushy at all and they gave me time to make up my mind. The process was super easy and Id totally go back for another bike.

Excellent experience from sales, finance, parts and service. Everyone is generally welcoming and knowledgeable, they create an experience that makes you want to buy from them. I’ve purchased my first bike from them back in 2014 and now another bike this year, awesome and easy both times.

Fantastic service and parts.

Maintenance department is always so busy, (which is a good thing.... everyone wants them) so expect a bit of a waiting period although they try their hardest to get you back your bike as fast as they can. The whole staff is friendly, but a HUGE shout out to Chris for helping me out everytime Im in there. A great guy whos one of the many reasons Ill be coming back to not only keep my current ride up to shape, but to buy my future bikes here as well. Ill refer this shop to anyone. Thank you guys! What an awesome place. On a ride up to Deadhorse and back and needed a bunch of things serviced, these guys did everything they could to get me back on the road ASAP. Kait was super helpful and friendly and everyone else I spoke to was professional and did a great job. Also great place to meet other riders and talk bikes and stuff in the waiting/lounge area.

Well I’ve been going here for awhile now and I gotta say its the best shop in town as far as inventory on bikes and parts and also great customer service. They rarely have to order any parts for me and if they do it doesn’t take long for stuff to ship to them. The people that wprk there are a great crowd and are pretty knowledgeable. Its the best looking facility for bikes and always very clean. Just a great well rounded shop.

I went here to get parts for my bike. The employees were very friendly and helpful and got me exactly what I needed. Since money was tight, I couldn’t afford the labor of having everything professionally installed. I’m definitely NO mechanic, but the staff was extremely helpful in guiding me. Every time I ran into something, Kait Paisley went above and beyond explaining things to me, and had me send photos or videos of the bike parts I had problems with. In my opinion, you can’t pay enough for customer service like that. A few days later I was finished and on the road. In a 3 day period I rode 920 miles on this little dual sport 250, everything running great!

The motorcycle shop has always had stellar service. This was my first time buying a motorcycle from them but have had multiple friends and family who have bought from them and always praised their service. They are easy to work with, very friendly and not pushy at all when it comes to sales. The only reason I didnt give them 5 stars is because when I bought my motorcycle, I wasnt able to pick it up the same day and had to pick it up a few days later. They didnt mind holding the bike for me and storing it until I could pick it up, which was great but during business hours they kept my bike outside, which isnt a big deal but what concerned me is that one of the days it rained and they kept my bike outside. When I came to pick up my bike it was dirty from the rain and dirt. Luckily Andrew noticed it and got it wiped down. A bit of an oversight, but still enough to notice, especially when buying a new bike you would expect it to be kept clean and stored away from the elements. I am probably nit picking here and this wont deter me from going there again. I plan on continuing doing business there whether it be servicing my bike or when Im ready to make another bike purchase and I still would recommend anybody whose looking to get a bike to go check the motorcycle shop!

Great people, working with good products​. Its hard to go wrong with a combination like that.I came in with my son about a month ago. He had been looking for a used motorcycle for a while and wanted to check the selection and get pricing. It didnt take long before he found a bike that he likes that he could easily afford, with some help from the staff.

Always super helpful for any parts I may need. Additionally they carry high quality brands when it comes to accessories for the type of riding in Alaska. Also recently purchased a brand new bike from them that was a seemless process.

Great people, awesome shop. Bought a new husky te250i, had some extras added. Had them Installed and the bike ready before schedule. These guys live and breath bikes. Great source of knowledge and direction for bikes in general in Alaska, and service center gives all the help they can. I even called the service manager direct on Easter Sunday, he helped no questions asked. Cant say enough good things about them. Only complaint is that they arnt closer to my town.

It was great. We arrived as they were closing the doors were actually locked. All we needed was done plexus for cleaning our visits on the ride back to Seattle. They opened back up for us. Very cool dudes.

I’ve bought bikes and had them serviced at the Motorcycle Shop since the early ‘80’s. Don, Andrew, Chris, Kait, Fred and the rest of the staff have always gone out of their way to provide exceptional customer service. They maintain my ‘70’s vintage BMWs as well as my daily rider (R1200GS). I’d highly recommend this shop for purchase or maintenance of BMWs or other motorcycle brands they stock.

I had the privilege of visiting your dealership on the 13th of August. My brother and I had just completed a motorcycle journey to Tuktoyaktuk, Northwest Territories, Canada. The road was extremely bad with deep mud, rocky surface, freshly laid gravel and dust. Upon reaching Tok, AK we noticed that the fork seals on our KTM 1290 SA’s were leaking badly, to the point of the bikes potentially be unsafe as the fork oil was dripping on the front brakes.We chatted with other AK adventure riders and the immediately recommended The Motorcycle Sop in Anchorage.We decide to ride to Anchorage and arrived at your dealership at opening time 10 am on the 13th. We chatted with a young lady and explained our situation with the leaking fork seals. The young lady was very pleasant and asked us if we could wait for a bit until she served her customers with appointments and would get back to us soonest. Shortly the young lady located us in the accessories department and informed us that she was able to move a few jobs around within the shop to accommodate us! We washed our bikes as she suggested and dropped off our bikes for the repairs. We arrived at 10am and our bikes were completed by 4pm. When we went to pick up our bikes the mechanic that worked on our bikes came out to the parking area and thoroughly explained the problem with the fork seals and how to prevent the problem from possibly reoccurring in the future.The young lady at the service counter was very knowledgeable, pleasant and understanding of the issues travelers encounter with unexpected motorcycle failures while on the road. She was extremely helpful during the entire process, to the extent of assisting with hotels and restaurants in Anchorage.The mechanic was also a credit to your dealership with his extra effort for customer satisfaction and information.In closing, our visit to your dealership was outstanding due to these two employees. They were knowledgable, extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with. They were also the reason we could continue our journey through Alaska with only a short delay for repairs.Again, a huge thank you to your dealership and these two employees!Garry

Brilliant experience from start to finish. No pushy sales, lots of good advice which helped me make the right decision on a new bike.I was mentally committed to a machine but I knew it wasnt practical deep down. Andrew listened to my requirements and then asked if I was interested seeing what other manufacturers had been doing since my last purchase. It had been years since I had looked at a new bike to replace my 2000 Honda VFR 800 I sold 6 years before (moving from the uk and too cocost to ship).Dont get me wrong he would have sold me the bike I went in for so it wasnt a case of being told I didnt know what I wanted.Long story short, went in to get a bike and expected a challenge. What ended up happening was an easy sale for me, a great deal on a bike I always admired (different to the one I went in for) a mountain of great insight and freely given knowledge and the creation of a loyal customer.Side note: the teami inparts are awesome. They will spend time with you to discuss gear, look up items in catalogues to show you, wont push you to the most expensive item just because, they have fair pricing and most importantly they follow up with you as your order updates through to collection at the store.One of the guys called me to say he had a bag type I might be interested. He had asked one of the reps to leave his own bag for the weekend so I could see if its something I MIGHT like. This was off his own back not at my request which shows he listened and he heard what I wanted.A+ and 10/10 for effort.

Mid-way though a trip from SoCal, TMS replaced the fork seals on my 1190. Excellent service from all I came in contact with. Well equipped shop, well stocked parts department, and several new bikes on the floor. I dont know what I was expecting but it wasnt this - TMS is as good or better than any shop in SoCal. Amazing service. I went in to get my sprocket and chain set replaced on my klr 659 abd was able to get it done the same day I came in and at a reasonable price. Kenny, the mechanic, was very professional and helpful in answering my questions. The guy in the sales department was also friendly and easy to talk to.

Nice motorbike and ATVs.

I am not happy. This shop has screwed up several times starting with the purchasing and getting the bike to the shipping company fast enough to make the barge. Know just yesterday was out riding and found out that whoever assembled my bike did not put the wiring behind the headlight in there holders causing me almost to wreck. Found out that the blinker relay was jammed between the steering tube and the front forks. Now I called the Motorcycle Shop and now I cannot get ahold of anyone that wants to help. Will never recommend anyone ever buy a bike from here.

This shop is one of the few that you look forward to working with. From their parts desk to their service shop and the sales floor staff at the Motorcycle Shop made me feel like I was at home. So many motorcycle dealers have shed the rider family feeling in a bid for commercialized nonsense. They helped me with a sick bike by squeezing me in during a particularly busy time. They made the repairs fast and communicated very well along the way--letting me know what they found and keeping me posted in timelines. I immediately got the feeling that the shop was about its customers and everyone was definitely just as bit by the motorcycle bug as I was. Cant say enough good things about it. Youll be happy you went. I was.
