Excellent mixed drinks make this one of the best happy hours on the Upper West Side, and the food is terrific too. Add in warm and professional service and you can see why the place is packed. Fantastic!

Really great! Im not normally a huge fan of Latin food, but Bodega 88 does it fantastically. The food is always deliciously fresh, and has very reasonable portion sizes. I can never resist sweet plantains and theirs never disappoint!

Dropped my pet off at the vet across the street and stopped in here for a bite and drink while I waited. Staff could not be friendlier and the sandwich I had was the BOMB!! Perfect size and absolutely delicious. They have happy hour from 11am-7pm, which is dope, and their outdoor seating is spacious and well set up. I was trying to work remotely while I waited, and the server even popped out to see if I needed the wifi password! Literally the best spot on this block. Highly recommend!!!!

Good happy hour and tacos. Chimichurri fries are amazing! We devoured them super quickly. Staff was helpful with my food allergies.

Stopped by Bodega 88 for the first time and it was worth it. Only ordered the nachos and they tasted delicious. I recommend the mezcal and ginger shandy. It was an excellent cocktail. Eclectic listing of cocktails and beers. Would definitely come back.

Good happy hour drinks...if you can get service.Went with some friends for happy hour, and the drinks were decent and well priced. However, the staff was inattentive at best and, after we said we were finished, they openly ignored us to the point that we had to ask 3 servers and a manager just to get the bill.

Came here for a drink on a weekday night. They have nice outdoor seating setup with roof. Guacamole and chips were very good, so were the drinks we ordered. It’s a lovely sports bar in the neighborhood.

I don’t understand how this place has so many good reviews. The food is extremely bland and unseasoned. The food I ordered tasted like they made it days ago and microwaved it. Also their alcoholic beverages taste like straight up juice, I don’t recommend this place.

The food and service at this place is always top notch it keeps you coming back. It seems as though they are always adding new items to the menu which is fun because I get to try something new everytime I stop by. The mango margarita is my fave drink and during happy hour its only $8 bucks!!Update: 4/20/21 - I went back again and the food is just as delicious as it always is. The staff is always kind and attentive. I tried the salsa verde quesadilla and I was in heaven. This will definitely be my new favorite dish!

Went Here For The 1st Time A Week Ago. And It Was Amazing. I Got To Sit Outside At My Own Little Table And The Server Was Real Nice. I Ordered The Pernil Tacos. They Give You Two and It Was Very Filling. I Also Ordered A Mango Mojito And It Was Mad Perfect. I Definitely Recommend This Place

I went for HH on a Friday evening and ended up being there all night. Good drinks, food, and service. Try the chimichurru fries! Shrimp tacos were good, but I wish they gave 3 instead of 2.

88 is a great establishment for business meetings or to just hang out with your friends and watch the big game. Ive been there many times and cant wait to go back.

Charming very tightly spaced bar with outstanding mixology. The Latin oriented cuisine is quite good as well. Service was pretty attentive but then again we sat at the bar. Nice first date type of place, feels very private/ romantic.

I live and work a stones throw from Bodega88. A true local bar with terrific food and drinks, they are a blessing to the neighborhood with deep roots in the community. Just walking by this place makes me feel good. It is the favorite watering hole for my staff and so we now have staff parties there to everyones pleasure.

Great place with an accesible and fun Latin tapas menu. A great selection of beers and wines helps bring in the comfortable neighborhood restaurant /hangout feel. The place is small but lined with small TVs in every table for intimate game watching. More flat screens line up the top wall above the bar.

Friendly, informal, Latin food. Bodega 88 has Cuban, Dominican, Puerto Rican, and Mexican inspired dishes. Every time we go, we enjoy the deep tracks playing from the 1980s on the speakers.

As my boo says, “the bodega 88 is where people go to get hammered”. And indeed, he was right. We ended our evening at the bodega, great drinks and the wings were pretty good as well. Loved the TVs in the booth areas, perfect for watching sports!

Friendly staff, really good beer selection and awesome food. Sister restaurant of Calle Ocho, and it shows. I highly recommend this spot for beer (good happy hour till 7 on weekdays), watching any sports game or food. The mofonguito and grilled sausage were great

Pros: Great outdoor seating, amazing french friesCons: service was incredibly slow. We waited 45 minutes for veggie tacos and fries. The tacos were incredibly salty to the point they were inedible. I didnt eat them, but the server still refused to take it off our bill.

Went here twice and so far everything has been delicious and cooked perfectly. You cant go wrong choosing anything from the menu. We loved the bodega burger the most. I cant wait to go again for more chimi fries!

Open for outdoor dining with seating on the street and bike lane. Good Mexican and South American influenced food and drinks with some typical sports bar selections as well. Great place to watch a game (when indoor dining resumes) as many tables have individual TVs.

Great food. Chicken wings are delicious. Fries are very different. Mofonguitos needed more flavor but all good.

Love this place. Service is always A+, food is amazing as well. I recommend going on The Weeknds when they have a live Pianist, but make sure you make reservations ahead of time. Brussel sprouts are a must have.

Stopped by here with my wife on Oct.23rd to celebrate my bday. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by, David(owner) who was sitting right outside. I have been here plenty of times, as the food and energy is great! We decided to sit outside since weather was still decent. While waiting for our food we had our adult juice(lol). It began to get crowded as we only sat for about 15 mins. Over all it was a great and pleasant experience as always. Food is always on point! Definitely worth stopping by!

Delicious ajillo Camaron, Mofongo of beef. The service was 100% on point. They love theyre Latin food there. Desert reminded me of my grandmas dulce Leche...bomb

So far I have gone here on two separate occasions. The lunch special is good! Decent price and portions are good as well. Definitely tasty!! The second time it was for dinner but within the Happy hour time frame. Drinks were good, moderately priced and packed a lil kick. So far no complaints!!!

LOVED the atmosphere and food is delicious!

My experience here was okay. The drinks are very good and the rooftop bar concept is cool, but the view isnt great (given location and elevation) and the setup is just okay (quality of arrangement). Sadly I came here on a freezing cold day and the heating lamps werent very potent so it ended up being a very cold experience. Would definitely try to come back on a nice day!

Worst service ever given the fact that we were seated thirty minutes before even being given menus. There seems to only be one waitress working the entire outdoor seating area and street parking is terrible.

Went sometime in September while it was a little warmer outside. We sat outside and ordered coconut mojitos (strong, we only needed 1 to get a nice buzz), chicken quesadillas (not bad but well try something else next time), camarones al ajillo (amazingggg), bodega burger which came with chimichurri fries (deliciousssss)!!!

Nice place for a drink

Came here on a Friday night for one of my friends birthdays. Being a Friday night, it wasnt busy at all. Apparently this place is busier right after work hours. I honestly didnt know this spot existed. Ive been to the downstairs bar Lusk25 back when they had the Game of Thrones pop up, so the rooftop was a nice change of scenery.

1st time there and I will say. Great atmosphere, Daniel is a Great Bartender but the crowd is what you want to be around!!! To David, the owner, You gave the community a place to hang and chill just the way your parents gave the community to do the same while shopping for what they needed. And what we need is community and love and so goes forth the Legacy!!! Blessings!!!

I came here with a friend going in blind off the street on a sunday… best choice honestly. The food was really great!! I didnt have anything to drink but the mixed glasses looked really good. I made sure to save this so I could come back.

Amazing time and the owner is a great conversationalist, drinks are GOOD. Outside table area very clean and upkept and Miguel was an amazing waiter.

Fun, friendly, laid back, neighborhood sports bar. The bartender is great, and their menu goes above and beyond topical bar fare, featuring lots of island and Latin influences, and served with style. Its often pretty loud, but if that doesnt bother you, youll feel right at home.

Great little sports bar with good tacos! We love dropping in from time to time to catch games on the TVs and enjoy happy hour specials. Also a hidden gem of a brunch spot on weekends. I recommend Bodega 88 as a local neighborhood gem!

Very crowded during happy hour but good food. I believe happy hour is 4-7 and beers are only $4. Good variety of beers and I had the Cuban which was good for me. The sandwich was big enough for one person.

Good selection of happy hour specials, though crowded at those times (no surprise there). 50/50 on the waitstaff, one was very friendly and accommodating, another was almost rude at times, especially regarding a dog that we brought (we were sitting outside and dogs are welcome). One bathroom, so the line can get long.
