The staff are incredibly lovely and knowledgeable! I had an issues with glasses I got from a different business and I came here on recommendations from others and the staff could not have been more knowledgable, attentive and helpful! They helped me try to understand what was wrong with the glasses from the other business and gave me excellent advice on how to advocate with the other business. I will certainly come back here for my next pair of glasses!

I came because of the convenience and stay because the doctor and staff are wonderful! The quality and variety of eyewear is top notch. Their attention to detail and professionalism are unsurpassed.

My regular optometrist was closed Saturday afternoon, so I walked around the corner to Voorthuis and Associates, who were open. They kindly tightened my glasses and would not accept payment. I am impressed and grateful.

I was a customer for many years at the Connecticut Avenue location and just started going to the Alexandria location. The service is consistently excellent at both. Both doctors are thorough, patient, and professional. Voorthuis has done a great job at creating a chain that is cookie cutter in the best possible way - great service, professional standards.

They have a nice selection of glasses at this store. the staff was very attentive, professional and knew how to sell a pair of glasses. they brought out a number of frames that i liked, with me eventually purchasing a pair of oliver peoples frames. yes, the frames in the store are expensive, but i kinda knew that theyd be at a store like this.

My service was great and the selection is outstanding. But while I was being helped I could over hear the two other service girls loudly complaining how stupid their customers were for asking questions. For a high end store here frames alone can cost $300-900 I expect the service personnel to keep comments like that behind the break-room door. VERY unprofessional...Im very glad I had the young that helped me. If I was the owner or manager I would fired them on the spot....thats how loud and rude they were.

I found them after a quick search when we were visiting Alexandria and a nose pad fell off of my daughters glasses. The staff was friendly and immediately fixed them and got us back on our way.

Service was poor. Sales people standing around talking to each other when I entered the store, no greeting at all. Finally asked me five minutes later if I need help. I said yes and five more minutes later one man got up to assist me. He was not happy because I wanted to see several frames. At this point I left. The staff seems to have an attitude when interrupted.
