I gave it a high score because the young lady at the register was super nice. On the other hand I would have given a lower score because when she seen one of the employees with a yellow vest I( imagine it was a boss or team lead) to let them know another cashier was needing help he was extremely rude to her. Customer service can be over bearing but do your best to be kind no matter what your going through or stay home.

Ive seen worse Walmarts in my home state of California. But this is the worst store Ive seen in the Midwest. The people that work there were fine. Helpful and present. But Im guessing its terribly understaffed because all the shelves were half empty and messy. Looked like the day after black Friday. Ill avoid this Wal-Mart

Literally stood in line for two and a half hours. I had a half day at my highschool but still got out of there at the same time school normally let out.Not sure if its because of the vaccine mandate, but there was only two cashiers. That mustve been hell for them. I hope theyre getting paid enough.

Went into the electronics dept. this morning to buy a new tablet for my wife for her birthday. I was met by an associate named CJ. CJ was very helpful, very knowledgeable and simply a very nice guy to work with. Other local retailers could learn a few lessons from him!

I spoke to Christine the Team Lead about an open position after completing the application and assessment. Online it says this store was in need. She said she’ll pass along the information to the Grandville Walmart but I hadn’t heard anything from them so I tried calling, several times. Unfortunately if you’re on hold for too long, you get hung up on and have to call again. I just wanted to speak to a manager about the position I applied for. I’m not giving up, but it’s sad this is a thing. I specifically chose Walmart over Target and Meijer but will apply if I can’t get through.

First of all the store was trashed.I went into to look at some games. Things were priced. So I went looking for someone to open the door so I can look at the items and check prices. When I went to the desk for help. Found there was 4 people already waiting. So I decided to go find someone as this is horrible service. 20 minutes I found an employee and he said he couldn’t help me and he would get someone. Another 20 minutes no one showed up.He could have got a store manager that could have opened things. But I would guess this store manager doesn’t care based on how their store looks like.Straight trash.

Well, to be honest mostly the shelves were empty especially the juice aisle, toilet paper, vitamins, etc but I have to remember if you dont have enough employees to fill in some of the responsibilities theres nothing you can do.Overall the meat was well stocked, and there was more aisle stocked.

This Wamart on 54th st should close because there service sucks try to cash a check and no one is working at the service desk plus there machine sucks I get up there to finally cash a check and there system breaks down so another day goes by on cashing it. This store is a mess!!!

Sadly this is the closest Walmart to my house. It is dirty, never stocked, items strewn all over the place in the wrong departments. The photo center is a joke. Completely disorganized, photos and photo products all over the floor and counters. I ordered 2 hour photos and went the next day to pick them up and the kid couldn’t find them. It’s no wonder, the place was a MESS. I’m going to drive the extra 20 minutes to another Walmart only when absolutely necessary.

The two managers who work in the afternoon They are always very friendly, they treat their cashiers with respect and kindness they always work with a smile and excellent customer service, (I saw a hispanic manager greet her underage employee with a very funny greeting You see the employees enjoy working with them and you see they enjoy working with minors)… On day 7-25 I went to make an alcohol purchase and they only took 1 minutes to arrive to sell alcohol.I always go shopping in the afternoon because if I have any problems they are very kind to help you, I have also observed that one of the manager is Hispanic and helps her clients in Spanish without any problem and is very coordinated when doing it, they need more team leads like them that make our purchases and worries more pleasant.

I have never seen a walmart with so many areas in the store needing to be restocked and straightened up. and what store staff i did observe were blocking aisles with their carts and standing in groups chatting. this store definitely needs a surprise visit by a regional manager and staff retraining.

Sick of the way things get handled. Ordered groceries for pickup on 09/20/2021. They didnt bother charging me until 09/24/2021. I should not have been able to pick up groceries if they were not paid for. Only noticed because Im placing another grocery order and saw two different charges with 09/24/2021 date so when I called they said it was our last order and the current order. We do our budget weekly and I thought this had already come out. Now Im SOL with paying all my bills. I cant help it Im not rich and deal with difficulties.

Lines are always long and never enough lanes open. The employees seem clueless about product location and are having social time instead of working. Shelves look like a tornado went through the building, and posted prices are nowhere near the product they are intended for. Not to mention the people that shop here tend to be rude and hard to deal with as well. Save yourself some time and hassle, and shop at Meijer.

If I didnt have to go here I wouldnt. Two self checkouts that are extremely waits and many registers with not open. Whats the point of hiring when you dont allow employees to actually work? Self checkout is convenient for small items, but no excuse not to have more open to shoppers.

Long lines. Angry people. 18 registers and only 2 open- meanwhile many other employees avoiding contact with customers. It took 10 minutes just to find anyone to sell me printer ink. . Terrible experience. I would assume the richest company in town would provide at least some level of service above...I dont blame employees- poor management.....I waited 35 minutes for a cashier to process a customers bananas. One by one- 8 giant boxes. So sad. I recommend going before 10 am or after 9 pm unless you have time to waste. Otherwise, just a normal store.

They have daily good sales in all items. For today, I was getting snacks and maybe a new DVD. The floors were very clean and somewhat crowded. Everyone was very politeto each other. I do enjoy coming here to dhop for my daily needs..

The corral at the front of the store makes you feel like an animal while shopping at this location. They also did a fire alarm test while I was there, but then didnt let anyone out of the corral. Will be shopping at other locations where they dont treat every single customer as a criminal. They also checked my receipt as I was leaving.

I travel the USA and world. This was the most disorganized and filthy Walmart I have ever been. This used to be a middle class, educated and hard working neighborhood. I dont know what it is now. Its s store I will not frequent often as even the clientele make me disgusted with how they dress and behave. Its just a low class store. If you visit the Grand Rapids area, there are some very good Walmarts, avoid this one. Sorry, if they clean up their act and the people start acting civilized, I will return to change this post but dont count on that happening any time soon. It went from a good neighborhood to not so good, I guess it can one day return.

Staff is VERY friendly and helpful!! I tend to need to do my shopping towards the end of their business hours. They are happy to try and help find what I am looking for no matter what Ive asked for, or call someone else. They are kind and patient when notifying about the store closing.The only negative thing I have to say is not their fault. The womans bathroom in the back was vandalized/trashed at my last visit. Even one of the toilet seats were ripped off the hinges. Usually very clean. I hope they find out who did that!

I certainly like the Walmart prices. I also like some of the products that they carry with their own name brand on them. I love their hazelnut coffee creamer. The store is starting to look messy. I look around and dont see a lot of help. Im afraid its product of the times were living in right now. Hopefully things will get better again.

Never a good time when shopping here. Hardly any checkout lanes are ever open. 30+ minutes is a typical wait to checkout. Never a manager in sight if help is needed. Items are not in stock even though the website says it is. Empty food and drink containers shoved in the shelves. Shelves are always messy and items are in the wrong spots. I have been to a lot of other Walmart stores in the area. This is by far the worst of them all.

Got pictures printed cause they were cheaper. No one at counter for pick up, when i stopped someone he was a great help but they were still on machine. Went to check out and lady was psycho, wouldnt let us scan ourselves sends us to her post and we waited.......then she proceeds to tell us she does not know how to ring up. So we told her the guys said scan these 2 bar codes. She was old and very rude! This is why Walmart is not my regular store.

Amazon prime is better. The pickup sign for orders is not where the pickup area is The clerk argues with me and she says that sign is just to tell you we have pickup well I would have put the pick up sign on the pickup unlabeled awning.you cant order to your local store you have to go to a pickup store

This is by far the WORSE Walmart I have every been in! I certainly hope no new customers to the area, like me, EVER go to this store! From the total mess of the toy department, looked worse than any store on Black Friday, to the empty display trays, lacking product and being left on the shelves in NO kind of order, to the disgusting open food containers, half drank soft drinks, and empty cans on every type of shelf. The MANAGEMENT at this store should be embarrassed and ashamed of this particular Walmart. I will NOT be back!

My husband and I do not recommend this Walmart at all. We recently moved to Wyoming from a few hours away due to a job promotion. We went here to shop for groceries our first few days here, we will never go back. I don’t prefer to shop at Walmart unless I absolutely have to anyways, but I have never seen a store in this bad of condition. Fruit had mold, they don’t keep up on stocking shelves, every isle is a disaster. Women’s and Men’s bathroom are always flooded and toilet paper holders are all hanging by one screw. I felt like we needed to shower after leaving, to say the least. I get we are in the middle of a pandemic and no one wants to work anymore, therefore; they are most likely short staffed, but there is no reason for it to be this bad. The workers are a bunch of young kids with no work ethic, we will not be back.

Only 3 cashiers. Took us over an hour to check out buying 3 cases of water. Self checkout had a continuous ridiculous line that was wrapped around and down an aisle like it was Black Friday. Will definitely choose another store in the future.

My complaints are cumulative over 2 separate visits:1. The self check out lines crash often and are only available on the market end of the store, I walked out without receiving my change back after waiting 20 min for assistance due to a majority of machines going down one after the other...at that time there was only one attendant who stated shed be right with me and instead addressed other customers/issues that came afterwards.2. With only 2 cashier lines open the self check out line was backed up to the entrance after waiting for 1/2 hr I proceed to the next available register there was no notice that that particular machine only accepted payment cards so I proceed to scan my cart of items and attempted to cash out, the registered crashed and the attendant addresses me stating the register only accepted card payments and cancels my transaction and that she would cash me out I loaded my bagged groceries and waited after an additional 15 min with no assistance I left my cart and store wasting my valuable time.I will not return to another wal-mart ever!!!

Location can be a bit messy and picked through at times, but thats not really their fault, more customers. Staff is overall fairly friendly, every now and then you may encounter someone having a bad day, but its also understandable considering what Im sure they have to deal with at times. Overall, I have a decent time at this Walmart.

A staff was really nice and helpful. I needed to return some curtains I bought online and it was very fast and easy to do. And we did some shopping in the store. It wasnt too busy, I had a nice selection and the checkout was very easy to get through and an attendant was washing everything off every time it was used.

The electronics depth was a confused mess. Wall chargers severely over priced. Mens department is a terrible mess. An entire row of white t shirts opened & strewn the length of the shelf. Pants that were on hangers are all over the floor. No prices on many clothing items. The whole store looks disheveled. What a miserable experience.

This is a well kept and large Walmart. No dressing rooms yet due to COVID, but we still have found quite a few clothes for the over the past few months. Much better than the old burnt out lumber yard that used to occupy this land.

I look at this page of reviews and they only mention the bad ... today I made a return of an article because I did not exceed my expectations when I arrived at the store the cashier in customer service attended me and in the middle of the process there was the cashier did not have all the information What I needed and I informed the cashier she would call her supervisor and in less than 2 seconds her supervisor named Jeniffer arrived very cordially and with a smile she apologized for what happened and asked me how she can help me, resolve the situation, I clarify all my doubts about walmart.com and very kindly wishes me a good day, this walmart needs more supervisors like her definitely the best experience of the day Thank you Jeniffer

Very disappointed in Walmart. No carts at rhe entrance. Had to go back to the parking lot to get one. Brought back 2 so someone else would have one. So many items out of place on the shelves. People just dont care. Found a bottle of cherry flavored vodka in the canned vegetables. Its like that all over the store. Only 2 check outs open and many people lined up into the isle and into the clothing racks. People with kids not wearing masks. I only go there when I absolutely have to. Aldi is the best for most everything.

I do not feel safe in this store’s parking lot. Inside, this store is a mess! Shelves not stocked. Merchandise scattered everywhere. NEVER GOING TO WALMART AGAIN! Was checking out in self checkout I only had my card on me and out of no where the systems wouldnt take card anymore and they said its because the internet was down but I was connected to their wifi and it was working perfectly fine. It was after closing hours so I feel like they just shut down the systems so they could go home. I left the store with nothing tonight after spending 2 hours in there trying to get everything I needed.

I was on a short trip to Walmart. I was able to find the items I needed, and was able to help another customer find denture grip, after using most of my lunch time helping him find the Polident, I asked a pharmacy tech to help this customer, he only speak Spanish, I was informed that there wasnt anyone that could help him. I rate this store as being not very diverse considering the vast variety of people whom live on Grand Rapids, MI.

Over 40 people in line with only 3 registers open. I waited in line over an hour!!!! My food was defrosted by time I checked out. They opened 2 more lanes as I got to the checkout in lane 8. Kristine did not greet me and was not wearing her mask properly over her nose. When I mentioned that my frozen food was already thawed because of the long wait, she totally ignored me, she did not suggest sending a runner to get me fresh. This is not the first time Ive had long waits to check out, but it is the last. I will be getting my groceries elsewhere from now on.

Cancelled $168 dollars in groceries without telling me that. I didnt find out till I opened my trunk after I for home. At least an hour of work, meal planning and and matching ibotta offers. They gave me $18 in a refund to help with my time lost...its not enough I have 4 kids including a toddler and newborn. Just leaving for a quick pick up is hell on wheels.

There were carts full of stock and misplaced otems scattered thru the store, but just randomly in aisles so shoppers couldnt get thru. Where associates were restocking things and clearly in customers way of getting to items, associates made no attempts to move or be courteous (this was witnessed personal while I was trying to get to things and while watching others attempt to shop). There were empty boxes scattered in aisles littering the floor. When I went to customer service to inquire about a money order, the worker told me money services was down, but the person working there had just come in and should be over. I went there and waited, a coach came to tell me it was closed, I explained to her what I was told, she went to check, and about 5 min later came back with an answer. I know everyone is short staffed and trying to make due, but this was a very disappointing visit.

My curbside pickup was scheduled for 4-5pm. Pickup confirmation sent around 4:30pm. I did not receive my order until 6pm. I sat in my car waiting for over an hour. Someone who arrived after me got their order before me. Its not usually this busy. However the customer service was great.

My experience at Walmart today makes me not want to shop there at all. I had a return and customer service was backed up at least 20 people with pnly 1 cashier. People were complaining and there were many excuses from employees calling in sick or being on lunch to its always like that on Sunday and its to be expected. Maybe we customers dont expect that. I was in line for at least 25 minutes for a 2 minute transaction.😡

This was at one time an excellent Walmart store. I’m not sure what happened but it was a shock walking in recently. The parking lot was littered with trash. The store was really bad. Shelves were barely stocked. Merchandise was all over the floor. Carts with items left in various places. Drink containers half full left on shelves. Customers were goofing off dribbling basketballs through the store. Sadly the employees looked either uninterested or just exhausted. I have never seen anything like this in any Walmart... or in any store. One thing that is an irritating issue for me, the security monitors in the aisles. Only because of the constant high pitched beep coming from them to often. Seems smarter and certainly less invasive & less irritating to silence & hide these devices. It drove me out of several aisles and after seeing all of the sights I have mentioned, I left. I will not likely ever go back to this one. I definitely would never recommend this to anyone.

Always shop at Walmart but I was attacked yesterday when leaving the store for not showing my receipt when leaving the store the lady Ann literally tried to take my cart from me with everything I purchased everything was paid for. Told me she could take my things that I bought from me cause I didn’t show her my receipt she also than told my mother to mind her business it had nothing to do with her. Ann showed a very bad look for Walmart and also made a loyal customer feel very unappreciated violated.I feel totally violated and very disturbed no one should feel or have to go through this because of not showing a receipt. It shouldn’t be a pick and choose who your gonna ask to show a receipt either ask everyone or don’t ask at all
