Very busy but always courteous and professional. They try to find the most affordable options and they are honest about whether or not they can perform certain services on your car. Ive only had to wait an hour one time and I have been going here for several years. I mostly get oil changes but I have also gotten tires and windshield wipers. Its easy to find and located with other stores in somewhat of a plaza.

First, they got into another customers car and put my details. I had an appointment and it took 2 hours to put on 2 tires and check leak in an existing tire I had put on earlier. Then at check out was a Cluster you know what as they stated i declined a stripped lug nut and a flat repair and was not even my car they stated, and I had an oil change and not tires. Will not do this again, there. Employees was awesome and courteous, had tons of rude customers.

Very rude and discriminatory toward disabled people. One worker refused to help a customer in a wheelchair and made a snippy remark about it. Appalling.

This sight is often understaffed and have long wait times (even for appointments). It to approximately three hours to get my van back for a flat repair.

A big thank you to Mitch in the auto care center. He helped me out when I had a nail in my tire today. I was unaware of the restrictions and just needed help. Mitch took care of me in a quick and very friendly manner.

I was refused a tire Change due to them not being able to take my Lugnuts off but I took my car to cheapies in Alton (btw they are amazing and I highly recommend them) they had no problem getting my Lugnuts off. Walmart needs to hire better mechanics!

They must put the new tires on the rims by hand. Took 2+ hours to get 2 rear tires on and a balance. Car sat on the lift for more than an hour and a half. At least an hour without the rears on. Got in without having anyone in front of me. Had to watch everyone after me get there car. Asked what took so long he said I didnt work on the car. Then once I got to finally see my car they have the wrong tire valve on the car. Go somewhere with real mechanics.

Have not had a bad experience with them since moving here 2 years ago. They have always been friendly and honest with me, and helped me get a good deal when my tires were undrivable. Now I come here almost every time for oil changes and such.

Its all right though their brows price tires get batteries oil oil filters some little odds and ends if youre going to get tires or oil change better get there early or plan to stay there by 3 or 4 hours

I give Walmart more, but the Auto Care area should get much less than the 3 I generously gave. The OFallon Walmart changed my oil 3 years ago and they overtightened the oil pan bolt. They let me know about it and put a bolt in that had a star shaped head. I moved to the Alton area and took it to the Wood River store and was told after waiting for an hour or so that they were not going to be able to change my oil because of the bolt that was in it. They told me at the OFALLON store that it wouldnt be an issue, every store would be able to service it for me. Apparently, not the Wood River store. Needless to say, Walmart doesnt get any of mine, or my familys business now. Really stinks, they told me that I could make a claim and get the pan replaced but the tech would most likey get in trouble for it so I opted to go to Auto Zone and get the replacement bolt and let them install it. What A Mistake!!!!!

I was refused service, a second time by the same staff member. I needed a GM headlight bulb replaced. They did it before, but this staff member stated that they will not be able to proceed further without the phone number used previously..... So I gave the staff member all possible numbers and he claimed nothing was coming up in the system and denied service.

I WILL NEVER TAKE MY VEHICLE BACK HERE!! They are the reason for my blowout and risked my life. I went in to have two brand new tires mounted and balanced. They wrote on the paper they aired the tires to spec at 41 psi but after I checked the tire they put on after the blowout they were aired to 53 psi!!!!!!!! Also not to mention they said they torqued my lug nuts correctly which I checked and they did not.. It took me forever to get them off. Also they damaged my truck. They dented the chrome trim above the tire wheel on the tire they mounted. I will go to Cheapies before I ever return here

Usually I have a good experience with this Walmart’s Automotive Center. Today was not one of them.I went into the building and was promptly instructed to go outside, cross all of the lanes leading into the oil changing center and wait in front of a metal desk with an umbrella. I did this and waited. I waited for almost five minutes, outside in the sun. The men working could see me but did not acknowledge me. Two men got in line behind me before someone eventually waited on me.The man that waited on me told me it would be an extremely long time before my car would be finished and asked if I was sure if I wanted my oil changed. I affirmed that I did. He took my information including my cell number, inspected my car, gave me the necessary slip and sent me on my way.I re-entered the building and browsed the aisles. For 3 hours I browsed, ate lunch, played a game in my phone. In the past, they have called me on my cell to let me know my car was ready. Not this time.I called the automotive department from inside the store where they said “yes, your car is ready “. When I saw the paper with my information on it, the top had a handwritten statement of paged at 10:50. It was now 12:50.Im not sure if this was due to someone calling off or because of the policy changes but it was poorly done.I had intended to buy my groceries here afterwards but today I will take my business somewhere else. Please fix this Walmart.
