Extrenely expensive merchandise. Ad an example, there was a used graphic tee that, after inspection, came to a total of 37$ on the tag. There is no good and proper reason to charge so much for a second-hand movie shirt.Despite this very fatal flaw of a thrift store, the staff are attentive, the merchandise is organized, and the store is clean. It would be a preferable option to other thrift stores if only the prices were more reasonable.

It’s definitely over priced, they sell used shein at full price here. Also the parking is always confusing. I’d suggest somewhere else if you actually want a deal. Although the accessories are cute (even if they’re bought off of aliexpress lol)

This is a nice, clean thrift store with some stuff thats a little higher end or more stylish. Parking is in back, although there are a couple street parking spots out front. The staff is friendly and helpful and the dressing rooms are huge and plentiful. Ill be keeping an eye out here in the future, for sure.

Today I went to Avalon for my first time ever and the selection is quite nice but after I returned home I noticed a sweater I bought had a rip down the side of it... I dont know if the girl ringing me up had noticed it but I dont think a sweater with a rip down the side is worth $15. I hope Avalon will review the pieces they choose to resell more carefully in the future, but other than that the vest I bought was in good condition.

This is a pretty good thrift store for more “trendy” items. But they are definitely on the pricier side and the staff isn’t the most helpful. But overall it is pretty nice!

Such great vibes and amazing customer service!! I have been here a few times and there is always something new when I visit. All of the interactions with the staff have been nothing but positive! With COVID all of the staff wears masks and I feel safe shopping here. I HIGHLY recommend swinging by here if you get a chance. Not only are the prices great but all of the products are in such great condition! :)

Vans are one of the most durable skateboarding shoes out, which is important because when you are constantly rubbing your toes on sandpaper, they need to last a while. Sadly I went through life buying 60+ dollar pairs of vans just to ruin them by skateboarding the very day I bought them. Avalon exchange consistently prices their vans around 24$. Even less if they are worn or on sale.I always come back when I have killed another pair of shoes, and usually within a couple of visits, someone has said goodbye to a gorgeous pair of barely used skateboarding shoes.Thanks guys

One of the best thrift stores around! Not only do I get excellent customer service when I come into the store but I always leave with great pieces from here! My last visit I was able to find cute lululemon pants and a shirt from free people which I can add to my wardrobe staples! I highly recommend Avalon Exchange :)

This place was absolutely one of my favorite thrift store! Today I went in and bought $80 worth of jewelry. My one necklace broke 30 minutes after buying it when I was wearing it around my neck. I also found out all of the jewelry is bought off of cheap websites for prices under $3 and then they hike the prices. This is supposed to be a fun and trendy place that I would spend most of my time. I will never be going back.

Love this place! Not only do they have the cutest clothes, but their staff is super friendly. Their manager Abi was really helpful the last two times I’ve gone in. This is one of my favorite places to shop! Ive also sold clothes here a few times and the process was incredibly smooth. They took many of my items that plato’s closet wouldn’t. Highly recommend

Super inclusive! they have sizes from 00-20+, being a plus size person it’s always been hard to purchase secondhand things and then have them actually fit, until avalon exchange! I love the workers there too! Tess always hypes me up when i come in and helps me shop! I always leave with 3-5 things lol and honestly it’s not a bad price for being curated handpicked pieces! this store is a MUST

Soooo.. i frequently order from shein so i know almost everything on their website. when i went to the store i saw a lot of the exact same bags that are listed on shein but they are wayyy overpriced.. even the accessories.. hair clips, earrings, etc. if you like anything in this place, i would highly consider looking on shein’s website and just buying it through there for an extremely discounted price versus what this store is charging! I’m guessing shein is their wholesaler? not trying to be rude at all to the store but just trying to help people out!** Edit since shop replied **I’m totally down to support a small business but it is kind of contradictory to give me the choice of: purchasing things from you in which you are wholesale buying FROM China or i could buy from China directly? i wouldn’t say that’s really supporting a small business as you are more like the middle man and are profiting a lot more off of these items. No hate but yeah I’d much rather just purchase the same item for the value that it was originally at before the price was spiked.. Thank you!

OMG... what a waste of my valuable time....When I walked in with my first full box of nice...very nice high we quality Lululemon, Rails, All Saints, Vrlvet by Graham...etc..most new a and w/ o tags...I knew at a glance...Avalon Exchange must be under new ownership...definitely not...Not the same clean, well organized store that I sold my nice things to 3 times before...but so after realizing that a all of the piles of wrinkled stuff all over in boxes and on counter...I realized that the level of quality control must have changed...My things all nicely folded ...etc...so though I had brought 4 more full a newish clothing all same high quality brands ...I did not go back out and bring anymore in TH o the store..It is a good thing I left the test in car...bc after nearly 40 min ...they were ready...and only offered me $81. For overall thousand dollars of Lululemon mon most NEW...Needless to say...I will never return...

I love Avalon! Ever since I moved away from the area a few years ago, anytime I visit I have to go thrifting! I came by Avalon, since I had never been and it had recently opened, and was so impressed. It’s clean. The staff is friendly, helpful if you want help, but not overbearing if you don’t want any. The manager personally helped me find workout clothes when I didn’t see my size. The sunglasses section is amazing, one of my favorite parts. fun choices and so many colors! The clothes are cute & they only take stuff that’s in good condition, cause nothing looked old or overused. I even brought some clothes and got store credit to use next time :) thanks!

Are used to love coming to Avalon but I have since realized that they overprice all of their items for way too much and whenever I try to sell things they barely take any of my name brand new clothing which is very frustrating since they call themselves a resale Shop. Since Covid hit they ask that you make an appointment to sell clothing which is absolutely fine but the earliest you can get an appointment is 3 to 4 weeks out. This used to be a fun experience where I could sell some of my clothing and find new ones for a good price I now do not come here anymore and have since found way better places to thrift and sell my clothing

I buy a bag for 16 and I found the same bag at SHEIN for 5 dollars

My fiancée and I were told wed have to wait 10-15 minutes because they were at capacity, I understand that and appreciate them following COVID-19 guidelines. I asked the employee if she could take down our phone number and call us when they were ready and she responded with No, youll just have to wait outside because Im not going to be calling everyone and I couldnt help but laugh at how rude she was, she locked the door on us, sat down and continued reading her book. 2:30pm on Friday February 12th, its hot and sunny out, Ill pass.

I sold some clothes and handbags at Avalon Exchange today and their buying policy is that you have an option to get a check or store credit. I chose to get a check but I also wanted to buy some clothes I found at the store. Instead of subtracting the amount of clothes I wanted to buy form the total of the check, she converted the entire check to store credit (which was something like .60 for $1 USD) and then subtracted the amount for the clothes I wanted to buy. She then wrote me a check for the amount of store credit!? This ended up subtracting close to $100 for $35 worth of clothing! Complete scam. Luckily I noticed that the math was way off and went back in and she wrote me a check for the amount in full and I just paid for the clothes I bought separately. If you sell your things here, be sure to do transactions separate. It makes no sense for them to do what they did and it’s obviously just a way for them to make more money.

I came to avlon exchange because Yelp said they are one of the top ten consignment shops in Orlando. I walked in with two full bags of clothing and was given a wait time of 30 minutes. Less than 10 minutes later, the girl behind the counter said she looked through everything and only pulled out two dresses that had been at the top of the bag. I went back to my car and looked through the bags and everything was exactly the way that I packed and folded it in the middle and bottom. If youre looking to sell items, look for another consignment shop.

Sale items are great but I’m not sure about paying full price for things. I wouldn’t sell clothes here. Staff is very pretentious/snobby and will just ignore you instead of offering help. I’m positive they all felt too good to clean the bathrooms too. They all seem to hate their jobs but whatever

Great finds! Was heading out for a morning of exploring and thrifting and got lucky to stumble upon this store during their dollar sale! What a great time that was, we got so many awesome clothes and accessories! I found a bunch of Lilly Pulitzer shorts and dresses for a dollar, which is by far the best score Ive ever come upon! The store is so clean and well organized. The employees are friendly and helpful. Cant wait to return for more great finds!

I used to thoroughly enjoy coming to this store to shop. For the past 6 months when I’ve gone in to sell they either take nothing or very little and give very little money back. When I’ve gone in to purchase clothing I feel very uncomfortable by the atmosphere, the employees will often ignore you, and will judge you. I will no longer suggest Avalon as a place to sell clothing or to even purchase from this consignment shop.

I love the idea of thrifting but for so long have found myself frustrated sifting through junk only to find a piece I never wear. Avalon is frustrating, but only in that I love everything there and have to make decisions. I’m currently wearing my absolute favorite jeans I got there and a vintage tee. It’s a little pricier but it’s quality stuff and it’s everything you’re looking for.

I love this place! I went for their grand opening and have never been disappointed. I follow their IG- they often have pics of new items that you can reserve for in-person pick up, which is pretty cool. All of their fashions are hip and up to date; they have vintage options, but never ones that are ugly hipster. Their vintage options actually fit and arent falling apart, like some other thrift stores in town... The staff is friendly and even remembered me! It made me feel special. Ive gotten cute/unique dresses, blazers, pants- the selection is great. They also have new sunglasses and jewelry thats trendy and affordable. I dig this place a lot, as does my BF. Its close to downtown Winter Park and makes for a nice weekend shopping trip.

Nice concept but horrible costumer service my friends and I feel so uncomfortable in this store they all seem to act like they work for Gucci or something. The tops are a bit overpriced I’m not into paying $12 for a stained white shirt. I love the dollar sales but they do get very crowded and are full or pushy people. Brought in a bunch clothes they only took the big name adidas stuff and I got $4 dollars for ... I thought they’d like some of the cargo pants but they gave them back and didn’t “approve” like she said of the other objects. Unsure of how I feel about this store just uncomfortable rather choose goodwill

This place is always busy! New stuff coming in regularly. Within my first 3 visits I found things I needed. Great location and prices are reasonable.

I follow them on Instagram but never went into the store and today I saw that they were having a dollar sale. So I drove all the way from Davenport/Champions Gate to come check it out. Even though I got to the store about 30 minutes before closing I still found some really cute stuff. The staff was really sweet and helpful. Ill definitely come back.

So I’m not sure what happened to this place. I used to really enjoy looking through the racks but it seems like it just another place to get a ‘thrift store’ T-Shirt. They used to have a much more broad variety for all different styles but now it certainly seems like it only fits into a certain ‘age range’ or style. The atmosphere isn’t as inviting and the staff doesn’t seem to be as helpful as they used to be.

Went in with 2 carry on sized bags of clothes to sell which had clothing from american rag, hollister, american eagle, forever 21 and they told me they couldnt use anything from either of the bags!! Are you kidding me?! So are you only looking for clothing that looks like the 80s??? Waste of time. As i looked around there wasnt even anything worth buying.

An amazing place! I got the cutest romper from forever 21, and three pairs of sandals. The staff was very nice too, and the whole place had such a cute vibe.

By far one of my favorite places to shop! There are always hidden treasures to be found here and I recieve a boatload of compliments on the items I wear that I have purchased here. I always look forward to paying Avalon Exchange a visit.

Best place to find that cute little dress. Always really good bargains and perfect for that eclectic style. The mens wear is lackluster, but thats normal. Great bargains, and they do take used and vintage clothes in exchange for cash or store credit. Stop by often to scope out the good stuff coming through!

They are hip and have great prices. I have sold more than I have purchased. They are lacking in plus size clothing so I dont find much. They are good for handbags, shoes, and accessories. The staff are not the most friendly bunch you will find either.

They do have some cool items but way too over priced for second hand clothes. This place is overrated. Everyone working there looked miserable. Not a welcoming place at all

It’s a bit of a pricey thrift shop, but great atmosphere. Just be cautious because they don’t wash the clothes they received; I picked up a pair of shorts and it reeked than realized there was a thick discharge stuck to the crotch area. Honestly killed my experience with this place.

This is a great consignment shop located in Winter Park. The store is huge, so there is plenty of selection. Theres even a high end section where you can find some luxury goods. If you havent guessed, the store is about 85% womens stuff, but the mens section isnt too shabby all things considered.Selling your stuff is quick and easy. Just bring it to the counter, and if theres something they want, they will give you 30% of what they sell it for right then and there. I dont know if the pricing is in line with other consignment stores, but its better than just dropping it off at Goodwill across the street (which youll do anyway with the stuff that Avalon wont take).Overall a great place to shop, and sell some of your unwanted stuff.

The store seems as if it is going downhill with the clothes and the staff needs to work on their customer service. I use to love this store. It looks as if they are accepting goodwill rejects.

I brought in a lot of really nice stuff in almost all the brands they specify. The workers did not even look through more than one small bag among the five bags I brought in. They called back and told me to come get my stuff not even 30 minutes later and when I got the stuff back it was all packed the exact way as it had arrived. The work is lazy DO NOT GO.

Until shopping in this store today I forgot what it felt like to be followed around a store, and recognize that an employee is continuously watching you throught your entire visit. Not once offering assistance but only making you feel uncomfortable throughout your entire experience. Racial profiling at it’s finest.

Brought clothes in to sell and got ripped off sold a pair of sneakers and shirt and got 16 when I see online they posted the sneakers and sold them for more than 40 plus complete rip off to sell to. They wouldn’t take other items I had cause it didn’t match there “style” but when you walk around they sold similar items.

I stopped here today for the first time after hardcore stalking their amazing Instagram page. I expected to find one or two things I liked as I normally do at other resale shops in the area (Dechoes, Style Encore), but I was overwhelmed with the selection and my finds. They made it easy for me by having an Instagram section along with separating the Anthropologie/Free People stuff as well. I decided after looking around that the stuff that I should bring me bag from the car in. It was an easy selling process and love that they offer more for store credit. I sold brands like Dr. Martens, Rag & Bone, but they also took other nonbranded items. Throughout the store, they have a wide varirty for everyones budget and style. The employees were beyond friendly and the owner also spent time to talk to me even though she had a sleepy little one with her. I will DEFINITELY be back at least once a week :)
