Mr Transmission has done a lot of great work on a car I bought from my dad. Rebuilt transmission, fix oil pan leak, brakes, and new cables for the battery. Every time I’ve gone in they have been fast and very professional. I still need the steering fixed and when I’m ready I’ll definitely bring it in to Bob and his team. I know they’ll get it fixed correctly the first time and finish it when they promise with no delays.

Had an older Subaru with engine problems that I wished to sell. Got quotes from two other shops with very high estimates before going to Milex. Bob gave me a great quote, and had suggestions on how to lower my costs, provided an estimate he stuck with, and repaired the car so it was in great condition.Would use Milex again!

They strive to do the best thing for their customers.I had them replace the timing belt on my daughters car and something got wired incorrectly when they put it back together and it burned up the alternator. They were honest and upfront with me and fixed the alternator with no cost to me.The hose on the air conditioner sprung a leak causing the Air conditioner to lose all its refrigerant, Bob new that we were heading to Alabama the next week and had the part shipping accelerated so that we could have the car ready for our big trip.I really appreciate the Customer Service and Honesty and would recommend these guys to anyone and everyone.

Brought my car to Milex after being quoted $8,300 for the same work at a dealership, they got my car in to be diagnosed the same day even though it was clearly busy. I paid less than half the price of the dealers quote and they got it done a day ahead of schedule. Kenyon was my technician, who replaced my timing chain, water pump, and camshaft sprockets as well as other general maintenance that it needed. The owner Bob is very personable and kept in contact during and after the repair to ensure that everything ran smoothly! Great service and honest people which was very important to me. Would certainly recommend especially for more advanced engine and transmission repairs.

The clutch on our truck went out suddenly on our way home from vacation, we dont know our way around Wilsonville at all, and were super lucky to find this location and Kenyon! We called them just before closing time, desperately needing to get an emergency fix, and Kenyon gave us a great suggestion for a towing company, stayed late to wait for us, and got our part in and fixed by 2pm the next day!!! It was definitely a lucky break for us, but the staff here really went above and beyond to help us in our emergency, and they were super nice, friendly, helpful and easy to work with. I am an outside salesman so my truck is my lifeline. Im based out of Seattle so Im pretty far from home when my truck all of the sudden overheated so I pulled off the freeway and went to the first place I saw. They told me the issue (radiator) but offered NO solutions. Flat out said they cant help me and left me to figure it out. They recommended Milex down the street but didnt give raving reviews about them...So, I went there and Eric started IMMEDIATELY figuring out a SOLUTION to my problem. He could tell I was really stressed having to cancel several meetings already for the day and my big meeting in the morning is now in jeopardy. He warned me that getting parts would be the problem...being in the industry of composites and dealing with logistics and overseas parts I understood. He pulled a favor and within 1 hour...1 HOUR, he had my part there. I couldnt believe it. He then said he can hopefully have it all installed by 5pm (it was 10am at the time). I said great but I still had a 7 hour drive in front of me. The owner Bob heard all this and didnt say anything but I was just happy to have only lost 1 day...3 HOURS LATER MY TRUCK WAS DONE AND READY TO GO. This company went above and beyond customer service knowing my situation and seeing the stress on my face. They had a chance to charge any amount in my opinion knowing my situation but still gave a great price.In the times we are in, its a great feeling knowing there still are decent people who are willing to help people in distress. Not because of money, because its the right thing to do. If I could rate Milex 10 stars I would. Thank you for helping me when I was down Bob. I saw Mr Transmission on 08/11/2020 and he helped diagnose my transmission and other engine problems in my Mustang. He was very fast and honest. It took him less than an hour. On top of that he did not pressure me to do the service. I actually didnt do the service because the car was not worth it, however if I need help in the future Ill go to Mr. Transmission.

The automatic transmission on my wifes 1990 F250 failed on Mothers Day of all days. We managed to limp the truck into Milex Mr Transmission and Bobs team did a thorough evaluation. We own a business so I don’t like to give bad reviewsbut dang this is not the right place to bring your vehicle.Our transmission was rebuilt by Mr Transmission and seems to be working ok but when we picked it up ... 3 And 1/2 WEEKS AFTER we dropped it off...(we only have 2 cars so this was a bit difficult ) Mr Transmission said they didn’t have a way to fix the steering and that we could take it to Les Schwab to get it aligned. We did that, and it cost us additional funds (90.00) to get it fixed. Still the steering was bad and Les Schwab said they did the best they can. We called Mr. Transmission because we were not happy with the sloppy steering and the strange noises the car was making. Mr Transmission told us we could bring the vehicle back in to get it looked at but they had no idea why it would be doing that. Knowing that they couldn’t fix the steering, I decided to go back to the Honda dealership. Honda found stripped screws, missing bolts, the steering column was off and they said that it will take several hours to fix the mistakes that were made. It was shoddy workmanship at best. They said we should take it back or get a refund. We don’t want Mr transmission touching out car again. Hopefully they will make this right with us. We weren’t expecting to have to pay additional to fix the mistakes that they made especially after having our vehicle for over 3 weeks ☹️

I called in to the shop to create an appointment to diagnose my trucks rear differential and was NEVER told about a $89 Diagnostic fee. I walked in to drop my truck off and was told to give them $89 for inspection fee. The gentleman then waived the fee due to me not being told about it. Three hours later I was back at the shop to pick the truck up and was told ONCE AGAIN by the SAME GENTLEMAN that I needed to pay $89 for and inspection fee. He the stood there in silence and said “Nevermind”. They said my rear differential needed a FULL rebuild for $3000 and I then took it to another shop which ACTUALLY diagnosed my truck and said my truck DOESNT need a rebuild on the differential! I don’t recommend!

I had my transmission rebuilt here last year, I do NOT recommend. I repeatedly called stating my transmission was STILL not shifting correctly after repair, driving worse at times. I took my vehicle in four times while under warranty, driving 2.5 hours each way to the shop each time to have it assessed and they failed to determine the cause of the transmission issue. They refused to acknowledge the issue until warranty was expired and they were not held liable. I took my car into a shop for an unrelated issue, when test driving after the repair, they immediately acknowledged the issue with the transmission and misfires in shifting.Spent $3,000 on a rebuilt transmission that drives worse than when I brought it to the shop. Very nice owner, dishonest work.

I was on a 9 hour road trip on a Saturday when my car broke down half way. I was able to get my car to Milex. They had closed at 1, but Bob was still there. He quickly offered to help. Bob at Milex was amazing and made my unfortunate situation of a broken down car about as painless as it could be. His pricing was reasonable and quick and efficient work. I called him in the morning, asked if I could have my car towed there, asked for pricing - worked everything out over the phone. My car was fixed same day and I couldnt get there before he closed so he locked my keys in a safe place and I picked it up after hours. Im a busy working mom and not having a car is about the worst thing ever so the fact I was without a car only one day and it was painless and affordable, I couldnt have asked for a better situation. AWESOME! Bob and his team at Mr. Transmission are just awesome! Excellent customer service plus knowledgeable and skilled mechanics that can do everything, not just transmissions. The turbo in my 2013 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter got damaged from an impact and sent metal shards throughout the engine. The warranty had just expired a few months earlier so Mercedes wouldnt cover any of the damage and couldnt even get my van into the shop for over a month. Bob got my van in right away to diagnose the problem and quickly had replacement parts on the way. Ultimately, the entire diesel engine, turbo, radiator, etc, all needed to be replaced. Bobs master mechanics got it up and running perfectly. Bob really went out of his way to help us through this difficult situation. He was very patient with our insurance companys adjusters and even helped us save money on parts. I am absolutely thrilled with the service at Mr. Transmission and highly recommend them for all of your auto maintenance and repairs. They are the best!

I went to both a GM Dealership and a nationally recognized transmission shop to inspect my vehicle as it seemed to be running rough and I was getting ready for a road trip. Both places indicated they were detecting transmission slipping codes when my vehicle was being inspected. The dealership advised the recommended repair would cost $7,500 while the transmission shop advised the repair would cost $3,500. Still not convinced, I went to a third location, Milex- Mr. Transmission. The owner, Bob was thoughtful, courteous and the most knowledgeable professional I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He had his certified tech do a thorough inspection of my vehicle and determined it was in fact not a transmission error but rather a faulty air flow senor which turned out to be an extremely minor repair. My car is now running perfectly and Bob saved me thousands of dollars in unnecessary repairs. My overall experience was great and I truly believe they went above and beyond any other shop I have been. They even gave me a ride home while my SUV was being serviced and offered to pick me up when it was done. It was like having a good friend who owned a repair shop. They have certainly earned my trust and business since they do most other repairs as well. I will definitely be taking all my cars to Mr. Transmission for all their service needs going forward. I just had a recent experience with this company, about 1600$ worth of work done to my car. I was under the impression this was an honest company. However when I went to pick up my car the drivers side headlight was out. I didnt assume it was any fault of theirs just wanted it fixed and was willing to pay. Bob insured my Father over the phone that he would only charge for the bulb. When I went in to get the quote for the bulb, Bob told me it was going to be $182 to fix this. Apparently the labor was intensive. I left, I have a Chrysler mind you not a Tesla or Mercedes. I took my Chrysler to the Dealership by my house, and it was a simple fix cost me 80$.... I am left now with an extremely uneasy feeling on how business is constructed there. Why was I trying to be charged 100$ more? I would not recommend this shop after what I was quoted for a BULB. This leads me to believe the labor they put in my car was EXTREMLEY overpriced, I normally do not write reviews as I see them as petty, however that much of a blatant lie needs to be exposed. I would steer clear of this SHOP and stick with Dealerships.The Premium bulb you quoted me was 64$ as was the Dealerships, charging 120 to install a bulb....

After replacing plugs & coil igniters in my 01 Jeep still had multiple engine misfires. Bob (owner) quoted reasonable diagnosis estimate. Communicated back same day as vehicle drop off with diagnosis (cracked block & damaged piston). Excellent service, advice, and very helpful in exploring options. I was having an issue with my car jerking forward when I was down shifting to come to a stop (I have an automatic). I took it to a mechanic that was close to my apartment to get an oil change and have them look in to it. They told me I had to see a transmission specialist for what was going on and referred me to someone else. Long story short I found out they didnt do a great job on my oil change so I decided not to go with their referral and find somewhere else to go. I looked online and found Milex Mr. Transmission. I was skeptical when they had all 5 stars but figured I would give them a shot. I am so glad I did! They ran a diagnostics and found that it was just the computer in my car that needed a reboot rather than needing an entirely new transmission (which I was told would most likely be the case by the other mechanic). When he called to tell me it would only cost me less than a few hundred dollars rather than more than a few thousand I didnt believe him! They really do look out for what is best for you and dont just try to find things wrong so they can over charge you. My car runs great now and they will have my continued business for anything and everything that is done to my car. I will refer anyone and everyone I know to them. I now see why all of their ratings are 5 stars!

Last weekend I had an issue come up with my vehicle while driving around the Portland metro. After checking the reviews Milex - Mr. Transmission caught my eye and I had it towed over to his shop. I left it overnight and called the next Monday morning to explain. I very soon got a call that afternoon with the diagnosis and an estimate. By the next day my car had been fixed up with the parts it needed and was on the road again and she is running great! I highly recommend taking your vehicle here and I will be coming in the next time for sure.

I recently had my transmission go out on my 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I knew I wanted to get the work done by a shop that specialized in transmissions to make sure it was done right, but was unsure of who to go to. I looked online for reviews to see who others recommended but there was not really any with great reviews that specialized in transmission work.Since I had driven by Mr Transmission / Milex many times I decided to stop in and talk to them. I met and talked with Bob the owner who was very genuine and a straight talker. He had his transmission specialist, with 25 years experience, come out and talk to me and explain their process.I also decided to call about 5 different places that did transmission work and had various levels of confidence after speaking to them. A few didnt really want to spend the time answering my questions and were just trying to sell me on getting me to bring it in to look at, and another one was very gimmicky saying they were offering free labor.After talking to everyone I had narrowed it down to Mr. Transmission in Wilsonville and one other place. Both shops guaranteed their work in writing which was important to me. Mr. Transmission was actually quoting me a little higher price, but I decided to go with them as I just had a better gut feel about them as people, and I wanted to make sure it was done right.They did a complete transmission rebuild and completed it on time and actually came in lower than the original price quoted to me. I would highly recommend Mr. Transmission for transmission or other work on your car.My Jeep is running great and will be back to have them do other work on all my cars.

I recently got an oil change done on my truck there and the techs were well trained, the owner, ( Bob) was such a nice guy. They went over everything and recommended the services I needed to get done. I would definitely recommend going to this shop. And it was affordable!!

Needed an oil change, and saw these guys online and were near me. Website said you could come in any time, but I decided to call ahead and see if they had the time. I feel that was a good move, as when they answered and I asked, they said they were real busy that day and asked if tomorrow would be better. I accepted and booked a time tomorrow. Tomorrow rolled around and figures out, a lot more people were coming in with crazy problems, needing their help, and asked if I could book it for tomorrow again. Seeing my problem as far inferior and thinking Id be lower on the priory queue, I accepted once more. It wasnt like I was busy or anything so I had the time and luxury it seemed the others in there did no have. third day rolls around and I come back in and it actually looked like a very chill day for them. They took my car and I walked across the street for a bite to eat. Spent maybe 10 minutes before getting a call and they told me they were done with the oil change, but upon their inspection the air filter was trashed. Offered me a replacement for 20$. I dont know too much about cars, so I accepted, and later tried looking up just air filters online. Mind you, I have no idea whats in my car, or what they even did if anything, and perhaps it was only placebo, but I felt my A/C was a lot better driving back home after that.All in all, Id say it was worth the wait, especially considering he cut me 10$ off the oil change for waiting so long, bringing my total from the oil change and air filter to 30$.

I called Bob to get a quote on a 90k checkup for my Chevy Equinox. He called my previous mechanic in Eugene and got an exact list of every service my vehicle had done to it in the past (which was way more than any other mechanics I had called) and he wrote up a very competitive, detailed quote. The quote was low-middle range (he blew my highest quote of $1000 from a Chevy dealership, out of the water) and included only the things that the other mechanics quotes had listed as required services, nothing more. Bob is extremely communicative and put in a lot of effort in to our initial interaction. I feel very comfortable taking my vehicle to his shop for service.

Good Service, honest time frames, price compared well with other reputable shops in the area. Had clutch & timing replaced, will go again to them if needed. Local feel, Big service.

About a year and a half ago, I took my truck in and bob quoted me a transmission rebuild. As a mechanic myself, I requested a bench build, where you take just the transmission in and they rebuild it and give it back to you. Once they had the transmission apart, I recieved a call to update me on what they found, as the price would be slightly higher than the quote. This happens all the time in the Auto world, which I understood- however, I felt that I was kept completely in the loop. Once installed, the transmission shifted flawlessly. Great service, great communication, I recommend this shop to anyone in the area.

I had them install a brand new factory clutch in my Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution and gave me a good price ($1600) then during the installation they told me the price went up $775 due to a new part they had to buy. Then they told me my car had to stay 2 weeks later then the original date stated in the beginning. They only gave it a 3 month 30,000 mile warranty. I started having issues with my car 5 months later, then took it to Mitsubishi dealer ship for a recall on my air bags. The lead tech called me and told my that my clutch was completely shot. I told them that it was only installed 5 months back. The tech further told me there was no way it could have been my fault even if I took it to the race track everyday. I called Bob at Mr. Milex, told him everything the dealership told me. He told me to take the car to them the next morning and they will look at it. I took my car in and he told me it was going to cost me $700 to just look at the clutch. None of that was talked about on the phone. Then told me that it was my fault for not driving right and there was nothing he could do for me and sent me on my way. They wasted my money and my time.

I have been to Mylex several times with both my car and my wifes car. Each time we have been treated with respect, been greeted warmly, and treated fairly. Bob does a great job of explaining what is wrong with your car, what needs to be fixed, and what may not need to be fixed. We were recommended to him by a family friend who had a similar positive experience, and it is nice to feel like you can trust your mechanic, rather than feeling like they are trying to get every last penny out of you. He told me what needed to be done, what I may need to go elsewhere for, and regularly beat the competition when it came to cost.

About 3 months after purchasing my 2007 Mazda3, the fan belt broke and my car overheated. This caused severe damage to my engine. I took it in to Milex and after repairing the coolant tank they determined there were still problems with the engine. Long story short, I was told I needed a new engine. Milex made this process as painless as possible. They found an engine, shipped it, and replaced it within a week. Due to some unforeseen complications, the labor took longer than expected. However, they did not charge me extra labor costs. They really worked with me and understood that I had invested a lot of money into repairs. They even gave me a ride back to work a couple times! I definitely recommend this shop. They are hardworking, honest, and care about their customers.

I was treated extremely well by the team - they went above and beyond to look at my car at the drop of a hat, offering to work with me outside of working hours and releasing my car without charge after discovering the issue needed to be handled by the Nissan dealer I had previously seen. Excellent service! I was traveling from out of town, and my check engine light came on. They were able to get me in right away and diagnose the problem. I only needed a gas cap which I was able to get from O’Reilly next door. He cleared the light and didn’t charge me anything. Honest and generous service. I would definitely recommend them!

Called about an oil change coupon, coupon stated synthetic blend oil would be used, I asked the guy on the phone if he could use the cheaper conventional only oil for my 2001 CRV due to what my engine builder/ regular mechanic and the manufacturer (called the dealer) state to use. Was told that they would not give me the cheaper oil due to syn blend being “better”, also told they don’t make regular conventional anymore.... called two different oil change places the dealer and parts stores all confirmed this not to be true in the slightest will not recommend this place to anyone if they can’t tell the truth.....

Amazing and honest customer service/professionalism!I took my 1992 F-150 in to be looked at for what I think may be transmission-related symptoms. Within 30 minutes of looking at it, Stephen, one of the mechanics, seemed very knowledgeable, had diagnosed other issues instead. He showed me where these issues were located. They didnt charge me for discovering these issues, and in the end it may not even be a transmission related issue once I repair these. Point is, they were upfront and honest, and were able to save me quite a bit of money because of this. If once I make these repairs that it does end up being the transmission, I will certainly take it to Milex Mr. Transmission for the work. Thanks Bob and Stephen!

Went here to get a rebuilt transmission, expecting to pick it up a week later. They called me the day I was hoping to pick it up saying that it was going to cost me $2000 more than what I already paid. Decided to take my car somewhere else and told Mr. Transmission to put the pieces of my car in the trunk so that the new location could rebuild my transmission at the price I could afford, Bob did place the peices that were removed in a big Tupperware container (which I am thankful for the thoughtfulness behind that), although some pieces were missing.

I have to start out by saying how amazing this place was!My friend and I were visiting the area (from WA) with my baby while our husbands were off doing their own thing. 30 minutes away from the hotel my battery light went off. I found out at another shop that my alternator went out, but they didn’t have the parts or the ability to fix it. After calling around it was clear that not many mechanics were open on a Saturday.We called Bob at Mr. Transmission and he very kindly had us come in to have the car looked at. Not only did he take us on a Saturday, his wonderful mechanic Billy replaced the part and stayed after hours to finish it for us. For years when I have taken my car for a straight forward oil change Ive been given a laundry list of items that need to be fixed. I literally had one shop tell me they did not think my car was safe to drive home because it could spontaneously flip at any moment... what? At Milex Mr. Transmission I have never felt coerced into getting extra work done. If there is anything that their mechanics find it is explained to me in detail what it is, why it needs fixed, how much it will cost and also how big of a priority is and if it can wait. Milex became my go-to mechanic about a year and a half ago and I cant imagine going anywhere else. And I live in Newberg, so I can say that it is worth the drive to Wilsonville to be serviced by people who are ethical, honest and trustworthy.

Bob, (owner) and Kenyon, (mechanic) went above and beyond to figure out an overheating issue. They did water pump and timing belt, then a/c compressor needed replaced. But it still kept saying it was overheating- Kenyon traced the culprit down and fixed it. I won’t go anywhere else.Thank you for everything

I took my car to a popular national chain three times with the same issue: vehicle hard to start. All three times they did the same thing--they checked the battery and cables, stated everything is fine and presented me a bill.This time I took it to Milex Mr Transmission. The manager had me explain the symptoms to the mechanic who was going to work on the car. He checked the ignition system and found a faulty component. My bill was very reasonable and now my car starts the first time, every time. Thanks guys.I highly recommend this shop.

Only place I trust with my car. I brought it in and they had little to go off of since the issue was sporadic and not something you’d see all the time. But they figured it out quickly, fixed the problem, and charged me a more than fair price for the excellent work that was done. I’ll definitely be coming back here if I need anything else done. BEWARE if you need transmission work done at this place!!!! Our truck broke down and we chose to have it towed here based on the good reviews, but boy were we deceived! Truck had transmission issues, the man told us that he had to rebuild our transmission and that the truck was throwing other codes. We told him what to fix and what not to fix. We paid half or what we thought was half up front. A week later and cost of a car rental for a week later we go to pick up our truck and come to find out that they ended up fixing everything! Even things they never even told us about! Then expected us to pay for all of it!! In total we spent about 4K. When we left the truck continued to drive the same way prior to breaking down, shifting funky. We called and they told us that a rebuilt transmission needs time to train itself to shift correctly. 10 days later we went back to them because nothing was improving. They took at it and told us a whole new set of things were wrong! After doing some research, we find out that these new issues should have been fixed in the original rebuild. Well, this was fishy to us. We told them we were not paying for something that should have already been done and was already paid for. A week later, we get the truck back. We came to discover that we had been charged for a rebuild even though they had not done it until we took it back the 2nd time! Please be careful when going to this place, they will try and take advantage of you if they see you are desperate. The employee who did the rebuild admitted to being up until 11pm working on the rebuild the night before we picked it up for the final time....hmmm but we had paid for a rebuild that was supposedly done 2 weeks prior? They are frauds!! Our truck still doesnt shift right.

My husband got his oil changed here and it was more affordable than we thought. They offered to price out some parts for us and give us an idea of how much it will cost for some needed repairs. Dont ever expect a call from this place when your car is in the shop-- they wont update you. Even if its done.Bob quoted me far higher than any other shop around for my work, lied about his pricing to my face on multiple occasions, and did not honor my appointment time that HE set.A week later at the shop and still not a word from him. I call several times, leave a voice message and still nothing.Bob is dishonest and irresponsible. At no point should I leave MY car with you and never get an update for over a week-- moreover the only update I DO get is one that I have to call over and over to receive.
