The compost is the best soil I have ever used in my vegetable and flower gardens. It holds moisture well and got us through the hot months with no difficulty and less watering needs.

Highly recommend this place. We went there to get some landscaping rocks and they were cheaper than other places. The gentleman who helped us was very sweet :)

Great guy, very easy to do business with. I made an appointment to meet him during the week (between his deliveries) to pick up a ton of dirt.

Absolutely the rudest people I’ve ever had the misfortune to speak with. Their website says they prefer you to call, but when you do you’re obviously bothering them with your potential business. Presumptuous, condescending, unprofessional, don’t listen, and just flat out rude.

Ordered 2 tons of shredded top soil slash shredded compost the load of dirt was not shredded full of clumps and rocks really not happy for close to 200 bucks and what are you gonna do once its laying on ur driveway..

I was calling for quotes on soil and compost. The man I spoke with had no idea what all I would be using his products for or if I would need their services in the future. They don’t deliver to homes with alleys (understandably) and he ended the conversation when I mentioned that it could be delivered there by hanging up on me. Never given the opportunity to say we have a drive way or see about picking up ourselves. He was rude and condescending the entire conversation. Makes my decision to go with their competitors that much easier.

I should have read the reviews before calling, EXTREMELY rude it was a VERY short phone call.

Excellent company. I called around 4:30 to see if they were still open. The owner said they had closed however his son would be there in 30 min to come on up. I am disabled and paint rocks for fun. He said to bring a five gallon bucket and fill it up for $10.00. When I arrived his son had not yet arrived. I proceeded to fill up a bucket of about 20 rocks, I couldnt carry any more, then called the owner to let him know his son hadnt arrived and asked if I could send him a check. He was extremely friendly and said, How about I give them to you for free? I was so happy. This just goes to show there are still very nice people taking care of others. Thank you again & God Bless.

The man I talk to has always been very polite and helpful.I just have to call and tell him an amount and he lets me know when I can come and pick it up. He wont sell wet soil, which I respect very much.Our company overall has a very good relationship with American Topsoil, and they will remain our only topsoil provider.

We had driveway gravel delivered for 200 feet of our driveway. When I have used other companies I have had to spend a couple of hours leveling what was delivered. When American Top Soil delivered I only had to smooth out the ends of the driveway and I was done!It was impressive to watch how the delivery person controlled the gravel dropping .

Made appointment for a Saturday around noon, waited until 2:15pm called to find out that Id been accidentally marked off as delivered. Took day off to handle delivery and spread of rock. Man on phone very nice, but service doesnt appear to be handled well

These people are very rude and unprofessional. I have a right to ask about cost and delivery. The owner of this company did not want to answer my questions and hung up on me. Please work on your customer service skills.If I had read the previous reviews, no way would I have called this business.

Nice guy runs the joint, didnt laugh at me when I pulled up with a light pickup. Put in enough soil I didn’t break my pickup. Was cool to my little kid, on the way out he had me drive over to the black obsidian rock he had so my boy could pick and take home a rock from a volcano. Good experience, but I need to talk my wife into letting me have a real mans truck. Haha

We bought a load of topsoil to put in the garden. The young man was very friendly and even offered to come to work just so we could get an extra load if needed. Super nice young man. Above and beyond customer service. We will definitely recommend them to all our friends and family.

I had American Topsoil deliver dirt to my home. Then I also used their service to have the dirt spread in my backyard. The work was done timely and in a very polite and professional manner. It was also reasonably priced .I highly recommend their services and will use them again if ever needed.

So my brother in law purchased some soil from this company and when the man came to the home to deliver I didnt immediately answer the door as our not too friendly pooch was inside and barking so I yelled just a minute. I put her out and answered the door and he was already on the phone with my brother in law and stated he had been banging on the door and no answer so when I said hello, he immediately says where am I dumping and whos got the check? I said give me a sec to check for sure, he throws up his arms and yelled were not waiting! So I come inside to call my brother in law and then I look outside and my brother in law was already here. So the man continues and gets in his truck and we open the gate and I immediately told my BIL what had happened and he said yea he hung up on me while I was on my way over here. He also told me he was supposed to have delivered at 8:00 and it was 9:30. A simple courtesy call would have been nice. I guess he only takes check or cash and when my BIL told him that all he had was a card he got upset and said well youre going to have to reschedule this and we are still billing you. Then calmed down and said well you can take payment by to their location that his son would be there. I had cash, so he got payment upon dumping. In conclusion Wichita community, Idk about the company as a whole, but this man was far from professional!!!!

The staff here is very friendly theyre very knowledgeable about sand and dirt they will load your pickup truck trailer for free. Very good prices

Didnt end up doing business with American Topsoil. When I called I spoke with a gentlemen who was very normal at first but as soon as I said I wanted to make a couple other calls for quotes he hung up on me. Seems to be a habit based on the other poor reviews.

We attempted to have aggragate delivered and when we questioned the quantity as it sounded like more than needed, the driver/sales person became indignant, beligerant, and threatening. We just wanted to check yards to ton conversion and he walked away threatening to put lien on house and was entirely unprofessional. Quite flabbergasted. We even called back after he left in a huff and said we would pay entire amount just did not want two times the amount needed once yards to tons conversion was done. He said he was going to sue.

Called to get an estimate on top soil and the man I talked to was extremely rude and degrading. And when I said I needed to do some math and call him back he just hung up on me. Called back to see if there was a disconnection, and someone answered the phone and immediately hung up on me. Not very professional service if you ask me.

Very rude guy asked him for topsoil he wasnt going to tell me delivery fees called me dirt bag dont do business with this company!
