A very poor experience trying to trade in consoles. A very good reminder on why I stopped going here to shop. Never again

Was hoping to support a local Gamestop today but it looks like Amazon got my money today, what a shame...Texas lifts the mask mandate and Gamestop refused to do business with me unless I wore a mask, yet they got a plexiglass barrier, 6 feet of distance between them and the customer while wearing masks and still turned away my money, if all of these things protect you then what are you so afraid of? Why try to force someone else to wear the mask if yours works? Where did the flu go? Gamestop stores are closing all over the country and you turn away customers that pay big? Goodbye Gamestop.

Great service. I ordered games online and the online game stop messed up and gave me two copies of the same game. I tried to call gamestop and send it back but they told me to just go to a gamestop. It was in the middle of the holidays and I had surgery and nowhere near a GameStop.I Went in here and they were very understanding and helped me out the best they could. Didnt get the names, it was two women though. One had tattoos on her arm of cards I believe.

Used my Gamestop discounts to get a better price on a new game.

I bought a headset which almost promptly broke. Great thing I bought the extra insurance. So I go ask about a replacement. They have to order it, they dont give me a turnaround time. My fault for not asking. So, here we are over a month later and I have never received it and/or not a callback not an email about it, nothing. I have tried at least 57 times to call the store on Bay Area and they absolutely do not ever ever everrrrr answer the freaking phone. For. The. Love. Of. God.

Don’t even bother with this store or any GameStop at that. Ordering online is pointless and it always seems to come with problems. I ordered a game to be picked up and the game isn’t ready yet. I’ve tried calling but I guess no one works there since every time I call no one answers. I tried to be thoughtful of others by ordering online but I should’ve just walked in there myself.

They refuse to answer the phone ever ive tried calling for 2 days to see if they had something in stock but all i got was an automatic message saying all associates are busy try back later.

First I must say that the two star is a reflection of this particular establishment, Not the company (GameStop)! I choose this rating on the grounds of very poor management skills at this location. Biggest issue, the phone will never be answered at this location, it rings 4-5 times then tells you they are busy, try again later, and hangs up. I’ve called multiple times in a row, for two consecutive days. First day I called, no success and couldn’t make it to the store before closing. Next day I call multiple times in a row before I head up to the location for the pre-ordered “Hyrule Warriors”, to my surprise the game has yet to arrive and was told to try back in three to four hours. I was pretty upset and didn’t want to make a scene so I just walked out..... I’m highly disappointed in this particular location.

Went here today. Asked for a copy of THPS 1+2. Woman asked if I pre-ordered. I said no. (2 days after release of a low demand title) She said she has two extra copies and she would sell me one if I purchase the warranty on the game only. Needless to say, I left and got a digital copy.. whoever was working the register, you can’t make people buy a game warranty.

Shout out to the team at this location! They are keeping things safe while staying professional and awesome!I appreciate GameStop for being available while many of us are social distancing but still crave physical media!I preordered Animal Crossing and was super late picking it up & I still got a poster even with Delivery @ Doors! Gotta learn some respect before u talk to a customer learn before your earn as soon as I walked in the guy who works at this store no greetings he treats everyone like he’s doing a favor by working his job the owner should look into it or else the employee would make the owner fall into a trouble I’m a regular here but i won’t be going to this location anymore actually no more GameStop’s

Horrible customer service!! Every time I walk in the store it seems like that store manager just doesnt want to help anybody I had to basically force him to look through the GameStop computer just to see if anybody had what I wanted in stock. And thats how you become a store manager I dont even know if I want to be a customer GameStop anymore

Horrible experience I will not be shopping at this location or any other GameStop. Employee David at Baybrook location is very rude and did not give any customer service he said he was “irritated” when I asked for a refund because I did not want a warranty on ps4 controller. Every time I have walked into this store has been a nightmare. He then before buying a new ps4 controller threw the controller on the counter. GameStop and employees is trash at this location.

I love coming in here. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable and more than willing to help out with recommendations. Its a little cramped with all the displays but easily outweighed by all the other positives.

This GameStop was pretty well organized and they have some great sales going on. The customer service was pretty good... The man that checked me out was super friendly and helped me decide what to get, telling me the pros and cons of everything. The only negative thing I can think of is the wait here was awful. There wasnt even that many people and yet I was in the store for over an hour trying to buy what I needed. They either need to get more help or get a little faster at checking people out. I know that they have to take time with each customer to help them with what they need, but maybe they need people to do that and then people only designated to check out

Nice efficient store. I pre-ordered KHIII and got there right after closing and there was a huge line. I was down in spirits but the staff got through the line almost immediately! Im one of those digital download junkies now but if I need a physical copy of a game, this will be my go to store for that. Great job guys

Awesome place to go for games! There midnight releases are really well organized too. You do payment early, get a receipt and then at midnight they go through the line super fast since everyone has already paid.

This is the most common place we go to for video games. Only downer about going here was this last time they werent accepting cash which I understand in the pandemic but the option should still be available.

One of the better stores for this franchise. There a few guys that have worked here a long time and they know their stuff new and old games across all platforms.

Called in advance from work to place a game on hold. I got to the store to pick up the game. Only to find out that the employee I spoke to did not place it on hold. My favorite part was when they told me that not only was it not on hold but that it sold earlier during the day. I rarely get angry enough to place reviews but this type incident happens way too often now a days to not speak out. One star is too generous for the lack of care shown by the employees on shift to fix the concern.

I put 20 dollars down to pre-order Far Cry 5 and I havent been able to pick up the game. They usually call you to let you know its in but they didnt. Im stuck out of state working so I went to another GameStop and they were going to get in touch with this store to get my money refunded to me so I could buy the game at this store. They havent answered their phone during business hours all day.

The staff was chill and the store was neat, lots of cool gadgets to buy.

I understand that frustrations are high right now but there is no need to be this rude so someone who just wants information.

Got here at 8:52 and the gates we re already down. Bought 2 kits of guitar hero for my ps4s at Walmart of all places...

I came in looking for a Nintendo Switch bundle as I needed a couple extras for a raffle event I was holding about a week ago. When asking one of the Game Advisors if they had a Switch Bundle for Pokken or even Pre-order bundles for Hey You Eevee he instead looked up the game instead of a bundle. No harm, I responded saying I wanted a bundle. The other Game Advisor starts to spit chatter our way and starts to rapidly get increasingly annoyed with me as he was talking, as if I was the 900th person to ask for it that day. “My apologies. Mr, Dude. I didnt know it was a black friday exclusive.” What he also failed to do was ask if I wanted to buy a Switch with the game separately. He was already so over the top annoyed with my simple request that he was completely done with me. So I excused myself from the Game Advisor I originally I asked to help me, stepped out of his Gamestop, drove to Fry’s and bought 2 Nintendo Switches and 2 copies of Pokken. Then went to the League City Gamestop and bought my own Switch with my powerup rewards along with 2 games and pre ordered 2 copies of Hey You Eevee and Pikachu. This Gamestop doesn’t exist to me anymore.

Worst company ever my 11 year old son handed my girl a game and said trade it in Black Ops 3. She knows nothing about games they gave her $8 credit I found out 15 minutes later and called the store imediatly saying it was a mistake, she doesnt know games. I asked if I could bring the receipt back and get thegames back 15 minutes come on now!!! I was told no it corperates call, I asked how much they resale it for $30 wow what a shady company!!! I would understand if it was a few days later but really you just checked her out! I will never do business with this company again complete disregard to customer service. I know we all need to make a buck!!! But she just left the store horrible company!
