The location is horrible as far as having to weave through loiterers. BUT!!! The butcher/meat manager is awesome. So helpful! I just wish theyd do something about the element hanging around outside all day. I dont feel safe walking into or out of their store

VEEY NICE STORE BIG VARIETY LOW COST

My only complaint is the produce. About half was in perfect condition. And the other half was wrinkled and soft. I eat a lot of fresh vegetables, so that was disappointing. The staff was very pleasant and the store was fairly clean and organized.

“The Used Food Store”, is what I like to call it.Sometimes they have stuff that’s not supposed to be for animal consumption, and other times the products are excellent.They appear to cater a lot to the typical American who likes TV dinners and easy-to-prepare foods - for a long while this was the only place I would by Swiss cheese as each slice had only 20mg of sodium, but now they’ve changed vendor.They used to have an excellent Greek yogurt with strawberries, and I would get a crate at a time - they upped the price and now also replaced the vendor.They also used to have excellent Black Forest ham, but also here they changed vendor.So it’s few and far between i go there these days. Definitely hit and miss…

Eggs have 2 prices. $1.45 at the cooler and he charged me $1.55 at checkout. I told him about the price difference. He didnt care. I hope someone will decide on one price.

Excellent meat and poultry. Lots of fresh produce; fruits and veggies. Always a good variety of staples. Theres something for everyone in the frozen treats section of the freezers. All-in-All... its the place to shop for saving on the food bill without sacrificing quality!

Its a good place to go and get groceries but the thing about this is once u go out side. thats the thing, people start asking me for money or rides.. I dont mind helping but all I want to do is buy some food then leave.. am I a bad person for thinking this?

Love the store, but not the bread. 4 times that we bought bread it all goes moldy within 2 days. But everything else is great!

A quick stop shopping experience. Larger than a Mom and Pop store but similar. Products are mostly midwest in origin. Not much locally grown and little organic. Prices are reasonable but selection is very limited. The basic needs can be met. Parking is good. No restroom and no lottery.

This is now our go to grocery store. Were finding everything we need at much lower prices than the big H. The quality is fine and the service is very friendly.

I go here for their meat selection, in my area its the best selection and I definitely get more for my money. Their produce is fair and the staff is helpful if you ask. The DO NOT supply bagging unless you pay for it so bring your own or you can use boxes, which they have right there. You pack yourself

Compared to other stores, its on the low end of appeal, the prices are low, wnd the quality is also low.As compared to other Save-A-Lots, its one of the cleaner stores, the meat is not questionable looking, most of the veggies look decent and the prices are reasonable. However, there were floor signs showing different products than whats on display, misleading items sold.

I just did my shopping at save alot and they looked at me without my mask and another worker told them I have breathing problem so I was not required to wear one...but please by nice they are just doing what they have been told to do..i wasnt refused to shop..try to be kind days are hard to deal with right now..stay safe stay kind

Not a fancy place, but, there are some good deals to be had, if you do your homework. Bags are only provided by request; so make sure you have them added to your slip before checkout, or better yet, bring your own.

Awesome bargains! Make sure to inspect items closely and check expiration dates.

In a pinch, this is a convenient place to get what you need. But when it comes to produce, I always avoid buying it here. Its either spoiled or too ripe to use but other things are great, meats are good usually.

If u are looking for cheap prices on groceries this is the place to go.. Though they carry a lot of generic brands but Ill tell you my kids wont eat the normal spaghetti Id they like the save a lot Brand better. Works for me at $0.69 a can.

Save A Lot really helps my food budget. Most of there own brands are just as good as name brands, and some I like better than the name brands...check it out, you just might like it.

They had everything I needed at a reasonable price and a lot cheaper than the bigger stores. Employees are very polite and friendly.

Prices are worth it. And the meat is actually really great.

The good:Excellent prices on most name brand items.Store seems clean.The checkout lines usually arent too bad and they are usually quick to open another register if things get backed up.The bad:Not enough name brand products. The majority of their products are private label. Most of the ones Ive tried are terrible. I stopped trying new store brand stuff there quite a while ago.Store hours are too limited.They close at 8pm where I live.Ive been going there for several years. The turnover rate seems pretty high. The one thing that seems to remain constant is that the employees seem unhappy, unfriendly and apathetic. If you expect great, or even good, customer service this is not the place for you. One of the employees even told me that they werent getting paid on time. Maybe this is a location specific issue. But customer service does not seem to be a high priority for this company.They charge for bags. Which seems really tacky to me. I refuse to pay something is free at every other store I go to. Its the principle.They treat their customers like criminals. I went there with a backpack once and they expected me to leave it, and my $2,000 laptop inside of it at the front of the store, completely unguarded. I politely declined, went home, got in my truck on drove to a regular store. Absolutely terrible, highly offensive policy.Its in a bad part of town and is surrounded by similar stores. Which attracts some pretty unsavory looking characters and some homeless people hanging around outsideTheir beef is basically mystery meat. There is no percentage listed on the package. I feel uncomfortable buying meat there anyway. I never have. Which is probably silly. But its just the way I feel. Im definitely not buying it if I dont know the fat percentage. That makes a huge difference in the taste and texture. I dont understand why anybody would buy beef that way.All in all, I like the store. I dont care about having my ass kissed and i save a lot of money when I shop there. I still do the overwhelming majority of my grocery shopping at Hannaford and Shaws. I wouldnt consider it a full service grocery store. I use it for certain items that I know are cheaper there. But selection is much more limited than at a regular grocery store.

They have great low fast burger and its cheap and lots of brand name food for lower cost only down side is sometimes they have it for months than they never have it again also you have to pay for your own bags or they give free boxes away

Bulk bag of sliced pepperoni is the best deal anywhere.

Cheap off-brand names, but you have to but the plastic shopping bags, which is not good. That should be provided, but boxes are free.

I enjoy going to Save-A-Lot that prices are very reasonable its not a huge door but its what I need

I shopped there a few times & there you really dont save money. I found that aot of the food I buy is more expensive then other grocery stores. I like shopping at Walmart, they have a larger selection of food & alot of the food that I buy, is less expensive then Save a lot & thats why I call it Spend a lot.
