What can one really say? Its Michaels. Great place that always seems to have what I need. Staff was very helpful at this particular store in Wasilla, Alaska.

They are insulting to members of the Deaf/HOA community.And correct you, when you try to talk to them about the issue, as a Deaf/HOA person.

Fantastic place to shop for all things crafty. Excellent customer service and amazing selection. I needed some spray paint and they have it locked up for safety. I didnt have to wait very long at all for an employee to come help me. I also love the member program. Great savings on all kinds of items.

Could keep it better stocked, most times I cant get everything I need because of being out of items, but I really do enjoy shopping here and buy a lot from them.Also very friendly and helpful staff.

I love shopping at michaels! I only wish they stocked unicorn spit gel stain and glaze and other like products. They are centrally located, prices can be high on certain items but other wise fair.

Wish they had more sewing supplies in store

This store has a decent selection of craft supplies and home decor. Prices range from decent to outrageous. $300.00 for a set of 48 markers for example- those prismacolor ones- unless those markers shoot out diamonds and gold, thats a tad much. Especially when I can get a set of 72 markers of the same brand for $140.00 from Amazon. 😉Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. There was one lady though, who asked if she could help me, so I described to her what I was looking for, and she immediately told me that they didnt have it. Also informing me that they were more of a make-it-yourself store instead of a end product store. I was looking for a specific pendant to make a necklace. 😂She wasnt getting it. Now, being since she was conducting interviews, you would think that she would have a bit more knowledge about the products in the store that she is employed in. I had browsed the Michaels website prior to my arrival at the store and the website told me that the pendant that I was looking for was in stock at that particular store. I politely told the lady that I was just going to continue to look around and see if I could find something else that would work. Now, imagine my surprise when I found not one, but two different types of pendants with the om symbol 🕉️ that I was searching for! as smart as a man came out and I just had to go tap on the window over office and show her and she rolled her eyes in disgust! Can you even believe it. I do wish I caught her name... Next time though... As she was the only employee that I encountered during my visit that was a bit curt and had little product knowledge. The cashier that rang up my items was very friendly and efficient. Not to mention she did an excellent job bagging my items so nothing got smashed or broken. Its a decent place, I would shop there again and I would recommend it to other people.

If youve never been to Michaels it is a craft store. Good prices on materials, art, jewlery, framing... You name it. The check out line always is a wait at this store though but usually not too terribly long so dont be in a hurry.

I dont know why I bother with this place. Their art supply selection is basic. In roughly ten visits since it opened, Ive made one purchase. Ill just go straight to Blaines from now on. Michaels missed an opportunity to corner the art supply market in the Valley, but they have is this second-rate store instead.

Store is nicely laid out and prices of items are easy to locate. Employees are always helpful.

Their coupons are very funny,also signs instore are kinda silly too.The sign says you can buy 1 and get 2 free under that it says buy 1 and get 2 and and 3rd free.Doesnt say you Have to buy 3 to apply this sale price but thats what happens.Every time and I do mean every time....I have gone in this place theres a hiccup.its not just 1 store either...Done and wont recommend.

I took my wife and daughters there. Im assuming they had the time of their lives since we were there over two hours. They also have classes for kids to learn some arts and crafts things (the classes are held on Saturdays). But if you enjoy arts and crafts then look not further than Michaels.

Hands down one of my favorite stores! if you’re an arts & craft person, or you just love art in general, keep in mind that it will be quite difficult to leave the store empty handed. Some items are a bit high in price, but that’s what sales are for!!! Staff are always helpful and offers great customer service, which is ALWAYS a plus.

I love Michaels. They have an awesome selection, and the app makes it so easy at checkout to use your earned coupons. So many fun things for kids, and the staff has been so helpful. I walked in at Christmas time with a project, showed it to this younger gentleman working there. He took me to every spot in the store for each item, I checked out..less than 10 minutes! very pleased

What dont they have? Im always able to find my crafting items and holiday items!

The store is clean and well stocked. The prices are a bit higher then the lower 48, but thats to be expected. Over all the staff are nice, and helpful. They are also knowledgeable about the various crafts and models they have.

Honestly the lady who tried to help us was totally clueless. We walked around with her for a long time and then she insisted they didnt carry what we were looking for. Once she walked away I found what she said they didnt have a few aisles away. I do like the variety of things in the store but knowledgeable employees make a world of difference.

Michaels is a fun place it had so much art supplies for people and for kids or manga lovers it has toys and manga books, for adults they have everything from fabrics to cricket. They have charms and yarn. I hope everyone likes it there.

Love love love this place just wish it was a little cheaper I can seek 6 get a colorless blending pencil for way cheaper here than on Amazon plus I like brick and mortar I hate paying and having to wait 2to 4 weeks for the item to come I want to take home what I purchased

Its a very nice store with a good selection. Its just so small! One cart or person with a basket can be in an aisle at a time. You get to know your fellow shoppers very well.

Love Michaels, but geez some of the prices are as though they are Pier 1. Sales bring these items to a regular price, clearance makes them a sale, lol. But, a great option for the Valley and Alaska, more choices than Joanns, but not better prices.

Michaels is the place I go to, to find the accessories I need when crafting. They have it all, except woodworking magazines/books.

This is one of the least helpful stores I have ever been in. I have been here multiple times and everytime I have asked for help it has been a problem or I was given the wrong information. I was so excited when I heard Michaels was coming to the valley and its been a huge disappointment.

Omg first visit to Michaels here in Alaska and I had forgotten how amazing it is. Great people and stuff
