Brought in for repair. They dont do service on site, was not told that when i bought it, so it was sent out for repair to honda. It took over 2 months. The winter season was over. I went to use following season and would not stay running. Called them to fix problem and was informed they send it out and would take another 2 months.....Horrible.......Bought the machine at their store and would expect better service then this.....Will bring to a certified tech rather then them...

Ive done business with Ace Tool Repair twice and both times had excellent customer service. Toni made it a point to send me a welcome email which made me think Id time-traveled to the 1950s since Im so rarely thanked like that for my patronage anymore. My items Ive ordered have all arrived promptly and well-packaged within the time frame I was given (especially worth calling out given the pandemic is causing worldwide shipping delays). This is definitely a business I would recommend to others.

For professionals or homeowners, this is THE place to go. Why? Because many of the tools is the Big Box stores are made for them...cheaply. Things like plastic instead of metal gears are commonplace. Ace Tool has a full line of all the major brands of tools. Extensive inventory as well as a complete repair department for most tools. The staff is well trained and really know their stuff. They are a stocking Honda generator and snowblower dealer as well. Great tools at fair prices!

Selfish customer service. Would give 0 stars if I could. They asked for more money after transaction was made and paid for. Wouldnt ship my order unless I paid it. Blamed it on error on their website. Gina clearly didnt care about the customer, only making her money. 0 stars.

James was awesome. We went in on a recommendation from someone at Ace Hardware, because we broke a screw off in a piece of wood that was part of an armoire. We had the wood with us and w/o hesitation, James set to work on it. I’d like to say he removed the screw, but it want for lack of trying. We were so impressed with the store and James, we bought several items, including a cordless drill we asked him to recommend.Don’t bother with the big box stores, if you’ve got questions or need expertise. AND BTW the drill was the same price as it would have been at Lowe’s and Home Depot.

I bought some cutters from them that had the same part number as another piece from the same manufacturer so I was sent the wrong part. They ordered the right part for me and shipped it to me quick. Very good communication with customer service throughout the process would highly recommend them.

We ordered a piece of equipment that arrived damaged. Not only did Ace Tool and Jescraft replace the damaged equipment, it was replaced very quickly and Ace Tool refunded the freight/shipping charge. We are very pleased with the customer service and very highly recommend Ace Tool Repair. We will be happy to do future business.

If you can wait for a particular tool, get it online. There prices are at the high side of the spectrum . As others posted, Ace Tool takes forever to repair anything . It can literally take months to get your tool back. And the cost....... You could buy a new one for a few bucks more.Brought a tool in for a warranty repair. I was told a week to get it back, well it took better than a month. And they had the audacity to charge me for shipping. Ill never use/ buy from them ever again!

Caution for Online purchases - I had some long delay problems, and slow response on an order of out of stock items. In the end they resolved it well and we agreed to cancel my order, it just cost me 4 weeks of delay.

BEWARE brought in 2 honda generators for recall work. they sat on a shelf for 6 weeks, weekly i would call and was told waiting for parts.after finally calling honda direct learning this store was not going to get the parts i brought it to 110 honda in amityville wher it was fixed in 2 days

Its very rare to find a local tool store. With that you get one on one expert advice from tool guys. James and Brian are excellent, and extremely knowledgeable. I buy all my tools from these guys. They carry high end tools and machinery that are tough to find anywhere else, like Festool and Fein. They also have a full line of Bosch, Dewalt, and Makita. Support a local long island business, its the right thing to do.

For Brick and Mortar dealers, my preference hands down is for Acetool out on Long Island in Wantagh. In addition to Festool, they stock a full line of other brands. There are other Festool dealers that are closer to my house which I am sometimes forced to go to because of proximity for last minute accessory runs, but for all planned purchases I will make the 45 minute drive out to Wantagh. Unlike some of the new Festool dealers that have come online in the past couples of years in New York City, where the employees seem to have minimal training with the tools, the guys at Acetool really know their stuff. That goes not just for the overall product info, but extends to troubleshooting and specific applications.Their knowledge and experience also extends to the full range of brands they carry besides Festool. They give impartial advice on the best tool for the job, even when that means buying something less expensive. And if I ever have a problem that requires service from the original manufacturer, I can just drop it off with them to act as my advocate and expediter. They also carry a dizzying amount of accessories like router bits, saw blades, drilling paraphernalia, and measuring/marking/layout devices, and will make sure you get what you need for your specific application.

Best brands for tools and acessories, prices are little bit higher than the cheapest online, but the store is definitely worth a visit. Youll find useful tools you didnt even know they existed.

Ive used this location to service my Hitachi drill. All i have to say ...run aaaawwaayy!Ive been waiting for them to fix it for the past 8 months; yes eight months. Whenever i call them they tell me exactly same thing: components came in and it will be installed end of the week.... call then. Its been a nightmare! So much for Hitachis 5 year warranty, dont get me started on the drill itself ^&*(. Anyway i have not purchased from them but in terms of service, they are terrible; take it somewhere else!
