I was standing at the airsoft counter waiting for help. No one comes. Ask the cashier to call someone for help. Manager MICHAEL shows up, we make eye contact and he goes around the counter, ignores me, walks past me 3 times while I’m literally looking at him to see if he was going to help me. He never asked me if I needed any help. He opens the door to talk to some associates in the little room behind the counter and leaves. Great customer service MICHAEL. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Prices are always good. Merchandise is usually decent quality. Customer service is not always the best, but they do keep prices low so its a trade off. We go here often.

Big 5 is my go to for camping and fishing equipment. I go there for most of my shoes and wool socks. The prices are good and I don’t have to worry about quality because it’s always good. The only reason I graded with 4 stars is because I can find work shoes a little cheaper elsewhere. This is where I go for running shoes and winter boots.

Always a pretty girl behind main counter. Salesperson at sporting goods is usually absent.

Great place to buy tennis shoes running shoes hiking boots and good help. I have an odd foot hard to fit the girl that was helping me had to go to the back six times and she finally got the one I wanted or for the one I could actually buy kept a smile on her face the whole time thought that was great.

I always buy my work shoes there. Great prices and helpful staff.

Staff were friendly and very helpful but the store as a whole does not enforce the mandate to wear masks. In fact not only did the staff allow guests in who werent wearing masks but actually allowed consumers to browse, and purchase items without mask coverings. The requirements to wear a mask are clearly listed on the door. If it is not going to be enforced why even hang the sign up. This puts other staff and consumers at risk. Options for curbside pickup werent even discussed.

We came in to buy my son running shoes. As soon as we came in we were treated. At the shoe department someone quickly helped us. When I asked if they carried crocs they told me thats all they had. I asked if they knew were else I could buy them. The sales person that was helping me told me were I could also but them at if they still carried them because it was a summer product. I really appreciate them tell me were else i could buy them because they could have just told me no so I could buy them there.

Didnt have much of a selection of shoes. When my boyfriend finally found some he was willing to try on....the didnt have his size. Plus they make you wear a mask so go prepared or youll leave disappointed.

As soon as we walked in to big 5 we were greeted and were asked if we needed any help with anything. My daughter needed running shoes and so when we got to the cashier to pay for her shoes the cashier noticed she had two left shoes in the box. Thank God he checked otherwise we would of had to go back to big 5 again. And we live about 45 mins away.

Sometimes they have a good selection of merchandise. But most times you can find the same quality of product at Walmart. Its still worth shopping the sales. You can usually find a great bargain if youre willing to dig. Staff is just ok. Once in awhile youll stumble onto a great sales person thats sincerely wants to help you find what you need.

This is such a great store in Visalia. The prices are good, the store is clean, and the staff is very courteous and helpful. I always start here before visiting other sporting goods stores. Its just a very professional experience.
