We went to the O.C.Fair Four years ago and saw the patio display. We inquired and made an appointment for them to come to the house. They came out and gave us different options and we chose what we wanted to have installed. They were timely and professional every step of the way. We had the patio cover installed with 2 electrical outlets and 2 fans. We still absolutely love our patio and have recommended them to a couple of friends who also had a patio installation done. They are also very happy with their new patio cover.

Poor communication very difficult to get a hold of to fix their mistakes.Had a $9,000 + patio cover installed. Called right away because during the install some of the finish was scratched off and I wanted it touched up to to avoid paint peeling off around these spots. They asked me to send follow up emails with photos and I did. The president emailed me right away saying they would fix it but ghosted me after that. After a while I gave up they just ignored my calls and emails until I give up.Later I noticed the edge has a rain gutter and down spout it doesnt drain properly to a side since it sags in the middle.I guess the Installer didnt have a 4 level. Moisture collects in it and it drips almost daily on things under the cover. Some corrosion is starting to form from this still in the middle of June. I have to move patio furniture because my patio cover drips water it condenses on it.I have called 7 times now including a cell number someone gave me. I left messages every time. Luckily Ralph the quoting person was nearby and came out and took a look. He told me that it was wrong it is missing a downspout and that it should not be dripping like that especially with how dry it is.Since they will not contact me I think I will need to hire another company to fix this and depending on the amount try to fight them for it.

If would be zero start, I wish I can. This company is very unprofessional and irresponsible. Hope others read my and other customers review, should avoid this company to work for you.I have chosen L. J. Hausner company, was supported this nearly 40 years family business. Our old patio have two light, wire through metal cube, the new one will keep same two lights. We ere told by salesperson Brent Santos and Engineer Mark any electrical weir will be through aluminum rack, none of them will be exposed outside.After installation 5/20/2021, we surprised noted there is electrical conduit hidden on the top of patio, they used white glue sealed connector. Because it is exposed under sun, it may cause danger during tear and wear. We have contacted company right after weekend, requested them to check up and fix it, they said “No”, refused to fix it. Not only that, because they did not do job properly, there is extra aluminum rack left and worker took it with them I requested they give it back to us, we have paid it .they did not do it.We have to report the issue to Best Business Buena.This is unethical conducting business company, I have turned at least four neighbors asking my referral.

We recently had work done by LJ Hausner Construction. Ralph was our point of contact. He was great with communicating with us via text or call. The cover really brought the whole property together. Looks amazing!!

Completely incompetent and unprofessional company. I met with this companys representative back in October 2020. They were contracted to install a lattice and a patio cover, with lighting, ceiling fan, and 4 additional electric outlets.Construction and installation finally begins in January 2021. That same day while the installer was tapping into the already existing electrical outlet on the backyard of my home, immediately the power outlet trips.This company never tested any of the electrical outlets and automatically assumed they could tap into that particular outlet not thinking with the additional strain on that circuit could result in ultimately tripping the GFI.Now anytime I use any outlet that is on that particular circuit, it trips the GFI.I paid this company to permit the entire project. When the permit inspector showed up, he himself spoke to the owner of this company along with several other representatives stating that the installation of the electrical was not done to code and they needed to correct this by tapping into another circuit not tied to a GFI.This has literally gone back and forth for over 5 months. Ive personally spoke to this companies installers/contractors, the original sales rep, and the secretaries. They continue to say the same thing every time. They will supposedly get back to you and will correct the electrical.Even the permit inspector has let them know they can be completely shut down if they do not correct what they are supposed to do and in the future could prohibit or stall them from ever getting permits in the city.Completely unsatisfied with this company.Now LJ Hausner wants me to pay for an outside electrician to correct their mistakes.What makes this story even more crazy, is that when construction/installation was originally scheduled to begin, the owner of the company sent me an email stating:1. The installation crew will arrive between 9am – 11am2. The installation crew will ask for the delivery of materials payment before getting started, unless the job was financed.3. If you are not home, please make sure to leave access into the back yard. We will proceed with installation and collect the payment when we see you.4. If we are installing ceiling fans, light fixtures, or porch lights please make sure to have them at the job site – there will be a $150.00 charge if we need to return and install them. We will provide the recessed lights.5. Please make sure the area is clear where the patio cover is being installed. If we cannot proceed with installation there will be a $300.00 charge to return once the area has been cleared.I responded stating this in an email:I confirmed this over the phone yesterday.Also since I see all these extra charges if this or that happens, which I definitely do not anticipate any problems on my side. Unforeseen things could happen.How will I be compensated me if your team doesn’t show up on time, finish on time, during the days we’ve agreed on?Since I will be taking off work and I make well over $100 per hour. Then I feel that you should be compensating me if you don’t show up on time, or finish on time as agreed.Like you my time is extremely valuable and we need to make sure this is not a one way street.I expect your company to do exactly as agreed, meaning:Showing up on timeCompleting the job on timeCleaning up everyday after the work is done for that day.If you have any questions. Please call me to discuss.If not, we are 100% ready to move forward on the scheduled days.This was the owners response:As long as you have area cleared and fixtures then we should be all good! See you next week. We’re looking forward to building you a beautiful cover!!!Still till today this has not been fixed or corrected. This company needs a very large lawsuit and they need their license suspended. Completely unethical and dishonest. DONT DO BUSINESS WITH LJ HAUSNER CONSTRUCTION CO.

Sloppy work thats all I have to say. Waiting for them to fix the mistakes. I had this company install the patio cover 3 weeks ago and after they were done weve notice so many flaws. I called and ask them to come fix the mistakes. First, they showed up the following Saturday unannounced and I wasnt home. I asked them to set an appointment for me and Ill be there to unlock the gate. The next Saturday someone showed up just to inspect it. That same day, the original tech who installed it called me to set up an appointment for Monday; no one showed up or called me. I called the office Tuesday letting them know no one showed up. They told me someone left you a message to reschedule. No they didnt. So they said Wednesday between 8-10am ok fine. They showed up at 1pm after I called saying no one showed up at the time frame. All they did was inspect again saying they dont have the material to do it. They are so unprofessional and unprepared to do the job. I emailed the owner telling him of this incident. He said that was totally unacceptable and the crew chief will be out this Saturday between 9-11am to fix the problems. He calls me at 10am saying he need to go get the materials still and asks if he can come tomorrow. I said no I need you out here today to fix the mistakes. Do not recommend; poor customer service.

Had an in home quote, once the guy got the jist that we wanted to think about us, he told us “prices are going up in two days “ and instead of saying I can lock you in at the qtd price I’m giving you today to give you time to think about it he just told us it’s going to go up by Monday. We asked “well how soon would you be able to come back out if we decide to move forward to do paperwork?” He said “oh no we’re booked with appointments for 2-3 weeks out so once I’m gone I’m gone”. That is NOT a way to earn someone’s business. Someone called to follow up with me and I told him what happened and advised I will NOT be going with their company due to their salesman’s actions he responded well I’m glad you found another company to take care of what your looking for. Never did I say I found someone else, didn’t address or apologize for the salesman’s actions, didn’t care about losing business. Would 100% NEVER recommend using this company. They definitely need a lesson in customer service.

My wife and I are very happy with the service we received and the finished product is beautiful. The price was reasonable and installation done quickly and professionally. I would highly recommend LJ Hausner to anyone.

Our patio cover was installed in 2013 and at the time we could not afford the electrican to be installed. Last year we saw Hausner Construction at the Orange County Fair and thought hey lets ask this guy about electrical. He took our name and number stating someone from the office will call us. NO ONE CALLED US BACK. In September 2019 my husband called the office directly several times and the office manager always took his name and number stating Someone would call back.....finally he gave up. Well I called July 15, 2020 talked with office manager and again ...get your dance shoes ready the same old song and dance..yep you quessed it Someone will call us back. I dont know who this Someone is but he is one lucky guy to keep his job and never do anything.Let me just say I am thankful we never had any problem with the structure and God forbid if we would have to use the limited lifetime to correct any problem.Hey Hausner call me if you need to replace Someone in your office I can ignore phone calls with the best of them.

Met with Brent from LJ Hausner. Brent was very patient and knowledgeable about aluminum patio covers. He walked us through the styles, options, and colors until we came up with a design that worked for us. He set up a timeline to get city permitting and the project installation. We are very happy with Brent and the finished patio product.

Love my patio. Ralph was very professional. He explained and answered all of my questions and concerns. Once my HOA approved it. They came out at 8am and was finished by 4pm.

Just had a Patio Cover installed and we cannot say we were happy with the lack of timely communications nor the time to finish the job. The installer (contract employees?) did not finish the job and did not communicate with the Company. My persistent calls finally got the job finished. Be careful paying the final amount until you are satisfied. with the project.

This was a first class company from meeting the gentleman at the swap meet, to the gentleman who came out for the bid, to the installation!! Everything was as they said and our awning looks better than we ever could have imagined! Thank You very much!! We shall have many wonderful family outing outside.

On our way out of the San Diego Fair a patio Cover display caught our eye. Ive experienced outlandish quotes from other Companies, but grabbed a tickler flyer from L J Hauser Construction.I promised myself Id never waste my time with another Patio Cover sales person again, but the flyer was inticing and I set up an appointment.I set the expectations w my wife by telling that if the quote was over a certain amount...the answer was going to be NO!I set the expectations with L J Hauser telling them that I didnt want any high pressure sales and special offers for the next 24 hours...just give me your price!I didnt want to pay for a patio cover because our funds were tight, so I set myself up for success!I think my original dimensions were 10 x 30. Damn if their quote didnt knock my socks off and I extended the patio to 40 and was still under budget!My wife and I LOVE our new patio cover and the quality is superior. Dylan was our agent and he was patient with me and ultimately delivered our dream patio cover for less than half of what I was expecting.I urge you to get a dozen quotations, but nobody will beat the cost, quality and customer service.I am sad that I had to cough up the dough but am ecstatic with the outcome.Thank you L J Hauser for a job well done.L. Signed contract in April for a Patio cover and French Doors, with an Estimated time of completion, at about 4-6 weeks. I asked if the work could be completed before I went on vacation (gone 12-14 days beginning May 28), was told, absolutely. After not hearing from them for 10 days, we called and were told by Mellisa, that the paper work was never signed. We went through a Fiasco of Electronic signatures (for 3 days), and lack of communication, and finally got them to send someone with the papers to physically sign. A week before vacation they sent the patio crew, before the door and Electrical were installed. I have a Frankenstein Electrical outlet, the doors were not properly installed, so they cannot be locked (this is an entry door). Doors and Electrical were to be installed before the Patio because of the Electrical. There has been no follow up, and we have had several appointments cancelled by the door repair people. Today is July 1st, and we havent heard from Hausner, since I started my complaints. I would advise, do not sign off until you are completely satisfied. I would never recommend this company to anyone. After hesitating with expectation, I am contacting the Contractors Board and seeking an Attorney.

After 12 year the patio start to leak every where, after the last storm. Call the company they said it will cost Min. $250 to reseal. They dont offer there old customer discount. So to my expert opinion I believe wooden Patio cover last longer, and it wont leak for Min. 30 year.

They showed up on time and did the work right the first time. They worked clean and the awning really makes my backyard pop.
