Brought in my 64 Beetle for some tlc. They were able to get it running and stopping right as well as fix my electrical gremlins. They did it quickly and professionally in a timely matter. They also contacted me for updates on where they are at in the repairs as well as pass on helpful information on how things were built and why to help me better maintain my vehicle. This will be the only place I will go for my auto needs. Period.

Was driving down the road, heard a kerchunk and felt something wrong. The place looked a little dated, and if I hadnt just had something important break, I probably wouldnt have stopped here. Bob and his wife were fantastic. Looked inside my engine bay and instantly was able to tell what was wrong. A little rough around the edges, but dont judge a mechanic by how clean his hands are. If youre shopping for a place to take your car, youve found it here. 5/5

I heard a horrible metal rattling noise under my Porsche Macan S so I called Bob on Wednesday and he told me to bring it in the next morning and he would check it out. He figured out that someone at some point before I bought the car had only hand tightened about 4 bolts that were connected to the exhaust, I believe, and he got it all back together with no more rattling. I would definitely recommend Tumazi!

Bob is an excellent and honest mechanic. And hes an incredibly nice person! We took a used car here to get his opinion on it before buying. He walked us through both potential and existing issues in great detail. You can tell he really cares about his customers. Highly recommended!

Always ask for Bob! Best mechanic around for your dollar! To get a good mechanic, you need to pay a little more. (You get what you pay for, and he is worth every penny!) Bob will treat you right and make sure you are happy with the repair! Bob is also the only mechanic I’ll take my 1971 VW Super Beetle project to for maintenance or anything I can’t do myself. If you are looking for a hard to find odd or end for your bug project, most likely he’s got it or can get it for you!

I’ve gone to Bob Tumazi off and on since moving to Turlock in 1989. He’s been helpful and fair in keeping our cars running. A few years ago I bought an older Honda Civic for our high school child. He did some preventative maintenance (timing belt, etc.) and suggested some extra money saving maintenance since the car was already taken apart. No pressure, just suggestions. I took his advice and saved a lot of labor costs.Bob is also very helpful in giving advice for buying old VW bugs (his passion and expertise for sure). He even helped out on his off day!!! Who does that? 🙂

This is my new go to place for VW needs! Bob and Nora are great people! Bob is super knowledgeable and was honest about what type of repairs I was looking at. The prices are more than fair in my opinion. They went above and beyond for me. All in all great people, great work. I’ll definitely be a returning customer.

I’m new to the VW world but I’m no stranger to auto repair shops, they had me put back over $100 in parts I didn’t need and then that gave me free advice and they treat every car in their shop like their own. I was under the impression that shops with integrity, good fast service were a thing of the past but you can find all of that at Tumazi Auto Repair.

Bob is the best European car repairman in Turlock. He will work on your American car to he knows everything about all cars and knows how to prepare them to factory spec. Dont expect him to be fast though, he is very thorough and trust me for every dollar you spend you will get hundreds of miles of smiles.

My go-to mechanic was always Bob. Hes such a great guy, friendly to talk to and absolutely knows what hes talking about. Prices are a little higher than average but again you have to remember two things. One, German cars are pricey. And two, you know hes going to get you a good part that will last and work right the first time. I had a 2004 VW Jetta. I always took it to him because hes a personable guy whos understanding of all situations. He usually gave me a couple of options for parts. The more expensive one that he recommended due to durability and longevity, or a second cheaper option if you didnt want to spend the extra bucks for a piece that may not last as long. For me, each time I came in and described what was going on he wouldnt even have to look at the car to guess what was wrong. (of course he did to make sure, but every time with my case, he was correct off the get-go). I cant recommend him enough. Fun guy to chat with who knows exactly how to take care of you and your vehicle. Sadly Im up in Washington now, but Id truly be willing to take my car back down to Turlock to have him personally work on it. Also worth taking a look at a few of his cars. Theyre pretty gorgeous too. Many thanks for all the times youve helped me out.

I just bought a 1976 VW. Had no idea to think about smog. I was referred to Tumazi and told to speak to Bob. I called and he spoke to me for half an hour. We have never met yet he took the time to talk to me. Not only that after the conversation he asked me to take pictures of my engine and send to his personal phone! I did. He called me back right away and gave me GREAT NEWS! My car has the correct engine. He spent another 1/2 hour talking to me. WHO DOES THAT THESE DAYS? I am bringing my VW to him. I trust him and never met the man. I feel blessed to have been put in contact with this man and this company!! See you Wednesday Bob👍!!!!!!!!!!

Tumazis has a long tradition of being known for good repair work at honest prices. I recently had a foreign luxury vehicle break down and it ended up being a lot of work. Tumazis gave me a lot of repair options and provided a quality repair job. I highly recommend their service; Mr Tumazi is a fair mechanic and he has my business for life.

I was traveling up to Lake Tahoe from Southern California when I noticed a small puddle of water forming in the front passenger floor board of my car. I was going to be stopping in Turlock for the night and knew I needed to solve this problem fast. I pulled into Tumazis an hour before closing. Bob came out with a smile and quickly diagnosed the problem. I found him to be very personable and knowledgeable. He even took the time to make sure my wife and two children were comfortable by getting them chairs and offering them water. Bob fixed the problem quickly and we where on our way!
