Great place, cant recommend them enough. They installed a KI300 in my Bonanza A36 and it failed. They stood behind it even though it was not their fault (it was clearly a manufacturer defect) and installed a Garmin GI275 at no cost to me. Laura and her team are first class, she clearly communicated their progress along the way and was excellent to work with. When I dropped my plane off the plan was to have it fixed in one day, but as things go with airplanes they ran into unforeseen difficulties so Alan Sparks gave me his personal vehicle so I could be with my son who was in Mercy Hospital NICU Springfield. They do great work and will stand behind their work! I will be back.

Worst company I have dealt with in my life. Called about runaway trim, was told to send in autopilot control unit. Was told 5-7 days turnaround time. Brought airplane to avionics shop.Avionics manager called, was told not to send in control unit, but trim servo and trim sensor, which are very difficult and expensive to access in my plane. Waited nearly 4 weeks (not 5-7 days),received overhauled parts back at a cost of nearly 4000$ for the overhaul. After installation, not working whatsoever, exactly same problem,no change at all. Avionics shop borrowed control unit from another plane for testing, swapped it, worked perfectly. Problem was in control unit all along. Now sent control unit to other company for repair.Bottom line: Total of 7000$ spent with installation, plus 4 weeks airplane downtime and counting, without any improvement. Parts overhauled that likely were working fine. I do not want to assume greed/criminal intent, so I will be charitable and just state that this company is just GROSSLY INCOMPETENT. I never thought such ineptitude and abhorrent customer service is even possible. NEVER, NEVER AGAIN!!!

They fixed my KAP 150 and they did a great job. It works perfectly and the cost was 10% of a new system (which, for $18,000,was the ONLY option they offered). They are a rare group: knowledgeable, helpful, and really good at what they do. Highly recommended!

Repair Service - STEC 50. Steve at Autopilot central took the time to talk me through diagnostics on my inoperative STEC 50 control head, and spend 30 minutes on the phone with me debugging the unit and possible issues prior to sending back. Repair was prompt within a week, and for a fair price. Unit came back functioning and looking like new. No complaints!

Horrible communication skills. Over budget and delayed completion dates both times we dealt with them.

Buyer Beware. So my story starts in 2014 in my 1978 Cessna T210 with a Cessna 400B autopilot. Our AP started to act up in 2014 so we were told they were the best in the business. This may be true but they are by far the most expensive in the business, give poor estimates on repairs, cuss out customers, and believe me there are so many other shops that can fix your AP without all the hassle. We took our plane there and got an estimate of just over $5,000 to fix the AP but when they were done we got a bill for $8,800. Fine...we understand that these things change but it was working well so we happily paid the bill being told we had a completely overhauled unit. Fast forward to 2016 and the unit starts to fail again. Disappointing but understandable because it is an old unit. The directional control has given out but the altitude hold works so we decided to mark it inop and hand fly the plane. In 2017 we decide to sell the plane so we contact them about fixing the AP. They advise us to have our mechanic pull the AP and ship it to them to save us time and money...Great Right?!? Wrong!!! We got a bill for $2100 from Autopilot Central plus $600 from our mechanic. When we actually get the unit installed back in the plane it was worse than when we sent it off. Now the Altitude hold that was working is not working to the tune of 2000 foot climb and dive attitudes. The plane was now uncontrollable with the AP on and actually fairly dangerous. I get it all you have to do is switch it off which we did but still we just paid $2700 dollars to get a unit that is in worse shape than when we started. We call and speak with Ed and he gives us a couple of trouble shooting tips that do not work so we schedule a time to bring the plane back...and that is a month out before they can get us in. Fine...they are busy we get that. Ed told us this would be a few minute fix and we would be in and out the same day but he scheduled us two days just in case and that we would not have a bill or not a significant bill for this. Guess what...that few minute fix turned into two full days and a $1600 dollar bill. This is were things got ugly. At this point we were frustrated about the extra bill but we own an airplane...we understand the cost of owning a plane. We talked to Ed on the phone and within 30 seconds he was cussing at me including the F bomb. Nice business practice but OK he says he will have the owner call me. It only got worse. Ed nor the owner, Allen Sparks could give me a reason why the AP was worse than when they worked on it. We told them we did not want to pay that bill or at least refund us the prior bill because they did not fix it or we would have to go through the Credit Card company because we were charged for a service that we did not receive...ie a functional AP. This is where It got nasty and the cuss words started flying again. Not only would the owner not let me speak after I let him talk for five minutes with no interruptions, he immediately put our plane in a hangar and demanded we wire him $3777.79. That is the original charge that we were charged of $2100 plus the new charge so we could not dispute any charges. He also added a mythical $125 dollar charge for Credit Card Fees. Now the plane is stuck another night in Tulsa costing us even more money. But wait, theres more. This is when the owner said I bet you voted for Trump? I bet you are an idiot that voted for Trump? Wait..What?!? We were then told that he does not care for nor want any Republican/Conservative Business and that we were probably stupid conservatives. When did politics come into play? What on earth does this have to do with anything. He specifically told my business partner he does not want business from Conservatives. Ok...well that eliminates us. Do what you want with this review but know that just like the review before me THEIR MISTAKES cost us more money which is exactly what the review before us said

Just a note that reviews matter. Was planning on contacting Autopilots Central, but after reading the terrible experience of several customers, will go elsewhere.
