Pretty small place. Nice selection of products from Eastern Europe. Very nice selection of beer and wine. They also have a good selection of cheeses, fish, and meat. The deli looked good, and they have an area to sit while eating. Being vegan, I cant speak to any of this. The staff were friendly. If I could wish for one thing it would be to have some breads also

The Russian hamburger is magical! I normally hate baklava- the rolled baklava here is the only one I have ever enjoyed. Perfect and not too sweet. The gyros were ok. I prefer the type that is shaved rather than formed into mini loafs. Nice flavor, though. :)

Cute market; one that I would normally like to support and hopefully be turned on to different foods. But it claims to make “the best gyro in town”. My partner and I were immediately intrigued so we each ordered our own; neither of us agreed it was “the best in town”, rather it was mediocre. Also, the service might’ve been quick, but certainly not warm or friendly. Even when I complimented the woman on having a great lil’ market, she seemed like she could care less. And, we were the only people wearing masks.

Am I missing something? Are people talking about another place called European market and deli that is very close to this one? I went in and the two owners were not wearing masks. I begrudgingly ordered a euro which cost $10 and fit in the palm of my hand. It was disgusting processed unspecific meat shaped like a flat banana served With brown salad. I asked if I could eat it in the restaurant area which was completely empty and the woman told me all food is to go only. A really miserable place with terrible food.

Paztiet for miles, sausage and salami for miles, so many wonderful things Americans just dont understand...Definitely try the peasant or farmers breads, get the meats from the deli case, dont hesitate to ask for help! Lots of great jams, jellies, and rustic old world treats...havent tried the restaurant yet, but definitely want to soon.Imported cheeses, crackers, beer and wine, so much to choose from!Bring your wallet because you will easily slap down your money for all the wonderful stuff theyve got!!!Now please pardon me, my paztiet is calling...

They have good food here, if you enjoy eating different food from different cultures and arent afraid to try new things this is a good place to go. I would imagine that this is as close to a market as you would see in its native part of the world, they have a lot of interesting things that Im excited to try. The people seem helpful and they accept online food orders from grub hub. The Russian burger on rye I recommend, the spicy mustard will clear out the sinuses.

Just stopped in this business about half an hour ago. My first time in. No masks were being worn by the employees. The woman who works the register had one on her chin. The man behind the deli counter, nothing at all. I walked into a business where the staff had likely not been wearing masks the entire day (and given the cavalier attitude about it, likely most days) during the height of this pandemic. European Market put me, and the family i share a home with, at greater risk. I wont forget that.

While the selection of items for purchase is amazing, their actual food items leave quite a lot to be desired. I’ve tried a couple times to order their lamb gyro, and each time I’ve gotten 4 paper thin slices on top of a mountain of lettuce - I have literally gotten gyro salads from other locations with more meat in them. So, if you’re coming here for shopping, you’re in for a treat. But if you want actual food, I would stop somewhere else until they fix their portions.

They have this interesting spice call vageta. Its in a blue packaging. Its some spice that is used from somewhere in Europe but its delicious when added to meats and soups. Really brings and adds an amazing taste to homemade chicken noodle soup. They also had some kind of veil stuffed noodles. Unsure what they are called but sound delicious. The store isnt all that big but when you want to try some European culture. I would recommend you make this your first stop

Huge selection of liquor, much of it imported and not in many of the liquor stores in Tucson. For instance they have some awesome ouzo. Their deli food is also really good, with sandwiches and gyros. It is a great time going in to grab some food and having a beer. It is a different experience than going in to many other delis for a bite or just hitting a liquor store for some booze.

This is my third visit. The gyros had not much flavor. Skimpy potion of meat. The dolmas stuffed grape leaves were fine. Coming from Chicagoland and frequently visiting Greek town and going to Greece on several occasions... this food is okay. On another issue the items for sale had no prices marked. Its not to say that I wont go back there if improvement are made. I REALLY really want to support local businesses. Tell me where else we can go in metro Tucson for great Greek food where we would be very happy. Thank you.

Heres the skinny guys and galls. Home made Borsch red beats soup is amazing, stuffed cabbage is to drool over, the humungous sandwiches they make puts subway to shame, Yes, the Gyro and baklava may not be home made but theyre delicious and actually are the Best in Tucson and if youre complaining about that, go find home made gyro in Tucson and let me know about it. The store is filled with an abundance of canned European foods that you cant really find anywhere else. They have a pretty good selection of cool gifts, lots of Russian nesting dolls.. The candy and home style European ice cream are definitely a must. Very good selection of beer, wine and liquor that you can drink with your meal or take home. The owners are very nice and helpful hard working people. The prices are definitely fair, especially for home made meals. Go there with an open mind, try something you havent had before and I promise youll like it. Ive been coming to this deli every time I visit. Its definitely worth a try. I highly recommend it.

If I could give zero stars, I would. My husband and I went here thinking we would try something new. The food was not fresh. Then it was disgusting. My husband and I both were sick for a couple of days. And although I have a sensitive stomach, my husband has an iron stomach. Then on our way out, I noticed a dead cockroach, and mouse chewings on some of the candy. Gross, and severely unsanitary. I wouldnt send my worst enemy here.

They ask for here or to-go. Eat here. Im a huge fan of trying foreign foods and this place is authentically new and foreign to me. I stopped here at random, and come to find out, this place is actually run by a russian couple. They advertise as the best gyro in town, and it is a damn near perfect gyro (they just need to shave the gyro slices thinner). HOWEVER, you should order their russian food cause it is absolutely fantastic. Get a russian beer, and enjoy the russian decorated dining area that they set up in their shop. Im definitely coming back here again before i leave Tucson.

Me & My Mother purchased a LivingSocial deal for this market. We had $20.00 to spend. Purchased 2 packages of pirogi. That took care of the $20.00. Then we started to shop around the store. I found a jar of pickles that i thought was $3.99. We purchased a 1/2 lb. of Smoked Kielbasa. And a 1/2 lb. of some kind of Polish luncheon meat. When we checked out. Total bill: $43.50 including the $20.00 vouchers we had. I thought the bill didnt sound right. When I looked at the receipt. The pickles were $13.99. Not $3.99. They refunded my money for the pickles. With an Attitude. If you decide to shop there. Be prepared to spend alot of money for little groceries. 5 stars for the selection of groceries. 1 star for the prices.

I cannot understand any of the complaints. My partner and I had lunch in the Cafe and it was delicious. We started with a Gyros Plate Appetizer.... there was enough for two good sized portions. It came with a kind of Tzatziki, sliced onions, tomatoes a bit of green salad and grilled pita (Greek style pita). It was yummy. Then we had an order of Beef Pelmeni served with a spicy sauce, and Potato Varneki served with sour cream. We ended the lunch with 2 large Blini served with a mixed fruit Jam. My partner drank Kvass and I had a Raspberry Iced tea. The service was timely and the male owner was very friendly and accommodating. The women was less friendly.... at first, but once she realized I was of Slavic extraction, she was friendly.... not bubbly, just polite. I forgot to talk prices. The Groceries were about 50% more than I would have paid in San Francisco, 3 lbs of Pelmeni for $14 was high, but not outrageously so. All of the groceries are imported. Give it a try....
