Our pool motor and pump was leaking water and making an awful sound. After my husband got quotes and information on a few places he decided on Independence Pump and Motor. Steve answered my questions and provide me with a quote very quickly and, despite being on the east side, a decent drive from his shop, fit me in quickly despite being booked solid. He brought out a new motor, but when he arrived informed my husband, bc caught early, would be better to tear it down than replace it. Steve took the time to show him the whole process. Not only was he not annoyed, I think he enjoyed teaching and my husband learning. He even told him the next two things on the pump he would need to address. After all of this, he charged my husband a reduce rate, what a tear down would cost rather than a new motor. Plus, he spent more time than otherwise would have because my husband asked so many question. Steve is fair, professional, reliable, HIGHLY knowledgeable and a pleasure to be around. I strongly recommend him for your pool pump and motor needs. Steve is the only person who we will trust from now on.

My pool pump went out on a Saturday, called Independence. Steven had my pump by 9am. Even though my pump took a few days to fix, due to being a specialty pump. Steven kept in touch with me everyday. I was afraid it was going to cost an arm and a leg but to my surprise super cheap! Also my pump has never operated better! Thanks Steven much appreciated! These guys are awesome! I had an issue with my pool pump, and thought Id be out big money for a new pump. Called Independence and they came by that afternoon and grabbed my pump before I was home for the day. Less than 24 hours later, the rebuilt pump was quietly flowing water in my pool. Great, great great service! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Recently, in the heat of the summer, our pool motor went out. We called Independence Pump and Motor and they were out in a very short time and repaired the motor. Steven the owner is directly involved in all operations. He cares for his customers satisfaction to the extreme even to the point of having his phone on 24 hours a day in case of emergency! Incredible workmanship with reasonable prices. One of the best companys I have ever dealt with! He even fabricated a part I needed for my motor that was no longer available from the manufacturer! Dont spend money replacing your pool pump and motor at your pool maintenance place when these guys will reseal and replace bearing for a fraction of the cost.Pump comes out looking brand new painted and ready to install in a day or two.Runs silky smooth and quiet...They even sent a guy same night to put it back in while I was away on business for a call out fee.

Zero stars. Steve will not return calls or text messages. Has had my motor for over 3 weeks. No idea what the status is. Did Steve go out of business? I do not recommend this place to anyone. He promised me he would let me know about the motor within two days. Still waiting.

Was recently having an issue with a motor on a piece of my equipment. I called to bring the motor in to be looked at and they recommended coming to my location to check it on site. Came to my location within an hour of being contacted and figured out the motor was not the cause of the problem, fixed it, got me back up and running, and saved me $ in the process. They have earned all of my future business by being fair, quick, and trustworthy, which is a characteristic unfortunately not always found out there these days. Thank you.

First time visiting this establishment. Based on other reviews I was expecting the best and I was not disappointed in anyway. Steven quickly diagnosed the problem with my A/C fan blower motor and gave me some tips that will very likely allow me to fix it myself. He was very helpful, above and beyond my expectations, and obviously knew his stuff. The web developer, Danny, was also just the best. He logged me into their account management system, printed out a control ticket/form and took pictures to document the project. I just point that out because they are using information technology and automating their services better than most any other place youll find in any industry sector.

Very impressive shop and work technique. As an engineer I can tell when quality workmanship is being performed. I brought my broken pool pump to the shop and watched as my new refurbished motor was broken down piece by piece and reassembled. He took his time to test electrical and mechanical functionality, apply proper antiseize to bolts, sand blast calcium from housing, repaint casing of motor ect. Less than half the price of a new motor, and clearly better work than the $99 dollar pool pump guy.

I had been having a lot of issues with my pool this summer and had been running my pump overtime trying to clear it up. I ended up burning up the motor which I had purchased only a couple months prior. Instead of paying the retail price for a brand new motor I started calling around looking to see about just rebuilding it. When I talked to Steven he said he was pretty sure that he knew exactly what was wrong with it and could get it repaired and out of the shop in 1 day if thats what I needed. I wasnt to thrilled about paying the extra for that kind of turn around but needed my pump going ASAP. Steven ended up being right about the problem with my motor and had it back to me as soon as he was done.

I had a rush job I had to be at and my generator decided to quit, called a few places in town no one picked up, I called Independence i received a call back about 5 min later, and after about 10 hours later it was fixed and i was on way to finally do my job after a 3 hour drive, everything worked great, little pricy, but it was a rush job overall 10/10 thanks and i will do business again in the future .
