Gotta say the costumer service here is excellent. I bought a pair of water shoes to go to the water park in Phoenix. These shoe were defective and the stitches came undone after wearing them for an hour. I took them back after using them for the day, they didnt ask any questions offered me a full refund and never acted like I was trying to use and return them. I told them I would like the refund put towards a different pair and they were kind enough to do so without question. I would give 5 stars for the service because they are always super helpful and friendly, but having to return a product due to it being defective is more a fault of the company not the employees. They offer lots of different products for outdoor and sports activities. The prices are close to and in some cases better than other stores like Wal-Mart, but a helpful employee is always easy to find here unlike other stores.

I just realized I drove to the Tucson mall (across town) and bought 4 shirts and a sweater I could have purchased from this location (2mins from home). A $192 total.I’m pretty sure I know what happened.See, every single time I step foot into this big 5 location, the male staff see me walk towards the ammo dept and ask how can they help me, which is great, but then they repeat it aggressively until I ask about the ammo. Yup, just like many other people trying to find ammo around here.Before I could even finish a sentence they always (ALL OF THEM) Will shake their heads and say, “no. Nope. Not right now. We’re out.”I think it’s great you have staff that knows their inventory, but how they say this repeatedly makes me feel like THEY LOVE SAYING NO and also makes me feel like ...there’s no other reason to shop here then.They don’t try to encourage/push other merchandise by simply asking for the sale on anything else. They say No and leave it as that.Listen, Walmart is next door and they announced yesterday that they’re going to start selling the ammo the town has been searching for again.Then, Spectrum is down the street (7min drive) with several other locations that sell the same items you sell.I would definitely tell management to explain to the team that there is competition out here and you always want the customer’s business, not their money. Learn how to make people stay and shop and see other options while providing a good experience.The female staff is always friendly and professional by the way.Thanks.

Nobody came to help me or to see if I needed help. When I checked out I had a coupon with retail me not and instead of scanning my phone from where I was he took my phone and scanned it. People should not handle other peoples phones EVER but especially during covid! Thanks.

This was my first visit to this particular Big 5 store, and I was very pleased. I not only received help when I asked for it, but later was asked if I needed help, but not so many times that it irritates you. (If you know what I mean.) They were just opening and there were about 5 of us (customers). I had my mother with me in her wheelchair and while the aisles could have been a little bit wider, her chair went everywhere we needed to go. The store was clean, shelves stocked, and staff friendly. We will be going back.

Terrible, Im a regular customer of these businesses.I am here to purchase 5 pairs of hiking boots, my wife needs to use the bathroom and they dont allowed her, with the excuse of covid 19, but they do let more people come in and touch the main doors, but dont allow one person use the bathroom?, even though were regular customers...I guess thats the down side of monopolizing that market.Unfortunately this guy Greg is so unreasonable that he prefers to loose a $500 sale than allowe one regular customer use the bathroom.Too bad there is no negative stars to rate.Hopefully that guy dont ever, ever comes across a similar situation.

Come here for all my sporting gear. Last visit was nice. Staff present at the time where very friendly and helpful.

Really bad customer service. I asked for a shoe size and they practically got bothered to help me. I also asked about an item in stock and (Nicholas) the associate laughed and was unprofessional. Nothing was organized and the associates were a joke! Poor location in desperate need of new management team.

Very friendly Staff. Didier the store manager was so helpful. Not often do I go to a retail store and see any manager. It gives me great confidence to know that when I purchase goods here that Im getting a personal backing from any of the two sometimes three managers ON THE SALES FLOOR that the product I am buying is right for my application.The reason I think is because these guys are doing their homework to educate themselves and by doing so their part time staff are in most cases better prepared to answer my questions than most managers elsewhere. When I think more about it, this store is exactly what anyone involved in sports should expect from their sports store....A TEAM!

Was there around 6:30 today. Terrible customer service! Nobody came by to see if I needed help with anything the whole time I was in the store. I saw 1 guy actually helping customers. Everyone else was just standing around including the manager. Nobody was behind the counter I had to ask which register was open? The cashier had to stop standing around and actually get behind the counter. She was not friendly at all. Im glad I found what I was looking for on my own. Ill just order from Amazon next time.

Great Service in the shoe department by a young lady who really knew her stuff. I needed a walking shoe wide I have an artificial hip so slip on preferred but she had a velcro strap which is Beautiful. Very comfortable OMG! Hard surfaces kill me but these make walking nice.
