We were visiting from Phoenix Az and stopped in this quaint home store full of goodies. We were pleasantly surprised as the amount of small items in the store were for our home. The staff Kate was professional, courteous, patient, and assisted us in purchasing several items for us and friends ( candles ). Great smelling and long lasting. We also had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with the owner Vanessa. She was charming as well and recommended a local eatery The Goat & Vine. Fabulous restaurant blocks away on Second street. Parking is a premium, but you need to park near group of stores as you approach Old Town Front street ( walkable). Enjoy all the friendly store owners and walking along Front Street. Highly recommend this quaint home store.

I was in the middle of a chalk painting furniture project, and realized I chose the wrong green (from another big box craft store). I searched high & low, and no other store had much of a selection of chalk paint... let alone the color I had sought after. I remembered Vintage Begonia having Annie Sloan chalk paint from a visit years ago. Since I’m a local, I drove right over, and was greeted right away by Joanna! They had the exact color I was searching for & she was super helpful in explaining how to properly use it. Although I felt the price was a bit steep, I knew that was the going rate for Annie Sloan paint. Joanna even talked me into a beautiful Annie Sloan medium brush & some brown wax to add an antique effect. In these crazy times, I couldn’t beat the convenience. I wished they weren’t out of the clear wax (to finish) but luckily, I had some from another brand that will have to do! Joanna was lovely to talk to, and I will definitely be back! The shop is so adorable too! They are really taking care of their customers by placing hand sanitizer at the door & keeping everything clean & presentable! I could get into real trouble here!

Interesting little store. The employee, however was not wearing a mask. I could care less if you dont want to wear a mask when youre out and about, but show consideration for the customers. Californias policy requires mask wearing when interacting with the general public.

We went in to buy some paint and gifts and were surprised that there were four people in the store including the proprietor. No one wearing masks inside and all talking loudly. We stood at the door and the proprietor said: “can I help you?”I said no one was wearing masks in the store and she agreed. She said no one‘s wearing masks then she said “sorry..”So we said goodbye and left the store. To return nevermore.I guess she was sorry for not being concerned about our welfare.

This store is adorable and full of some really great stuff. Wouldve liked to have done a little more shopping but unfortunately whoever was working the afternoon on Saturday 7/7/19 was so unfriendly it felt like the shopping scenes from Pretty Woman. I definitely didnt feel welcome. Ill give it another try the next time Im down there though because their stuff really did look great.

The staff is very knowledgeable in Annie Sloan Chalk Paints and friendly too!
