My daughter and I stopped by for a milkshake on a warm Tuesday afternoon.This place is great! They have a million ice cream flavors, and they’re all really high-quality ice creams! They also have shaved ice, coffee, teas and chocolate-dipped bananas.Inside was very clean and spacious, but we sat out in front. The girl that served us was very friendly, and made the milkshake exactly the way we like it!Perfect treat on a warm summer day!We’ll be back, for sure!

This is a sweet little shop with lots to look at and explore. Its truly a blast from the past walking in here. The real appeal for my husband is the attached ice cream shop with so many interesting flavors. He thoroughly enjoyed the gigantic 2-scoop chocolate-dipped cone he got, and is looking forward to bringing our grandkids here.I was a little surprised that none of the workers were wearing masks.

Absolutely magical. Candy Ive never seen anywhere else, and I LOVE weird candy. The gummies selection was particularly robust. I highly recommend you stop in and have a moment of wonder. Im going back for the Smartie Lollipops and fudge.

Great selection of ice cream and a pretty good size. I ordered a vanilla ice cream on a cake cone. All i wanted was to taste the ice cream so I asked if they had a kids scoop and the worker says Youd have to be a kid for a kids scoop. Okay, I get it. Shes following rules. Obviously I wont return here even though the ice cream was creamy and good. The service was just blah. No smile or thank you. Looks like they were cleaning and trying to close up at 7pm on a Saturday night.

Neat little candy shop. They have tons of retro candy, new stuff as well as lots of handmade goodies. They have everything from Beemans gun to hand dipped chocolate butter butters and other yummy treats. Prices are pretty reasonable, comparable to other candy shops. Employees are nice and helpful answering any questions people had. There is an ice cream shop next door so plenty of items to cure even the largest sweet tooth (and I love my sugary goodies).

Cant wait to go back for more delectable treats and great service.

Very cute inside. Bought some walnut maple fudge. Only thing I disliked is its sold by squares not the pound. I wanted a much smaller piece. The ice cream if Thriftys sold at a much steeper price but its yummy and good quality. There are plenty of tables and the paintings are nice inside.

Well the Old Town Sweet Shop one of the best ice creams Ive ever had a very very long time it was really good sweet it was screaming I was your man go great right mango was good the whole schmiel place was clean and it will play in Led Zeppelin over the loudspeaker what more could you ask for

Nice little candy shop in the middle of old town. My kid loves it, they make some awesome fudge as well. Be prepared to spend some money, but its worth it if you have a sweet tooth. The ice cream shop next door sells funnel cakes on the weekend as well.

I was an employee at the Sweet Shop and the number one thing is customer service! We want to make sure the you leave the shop feeling happy with all the yummy sweets. We were always making so many delicious orders in the kitchen to provide fresh treats for the people. The ice cream is a hit! Pretty large scoops of ice cream, and so much more like frozen bananas, sundaes, shakes, etc. Even funnel cakes are newly sold here! Defiantly a place to stop by for the day and let your sweet tooth out!

This place is a kids dream. It had that blast from the past feel. It was nice seeing candy from my childhood. Candy I got for 3 cents is now 25 cents a piece, inflation, ( shaking my head ).

The owners wife is mean I was getting my wallet out and she said can you hurry I have a line and I said give me a minute Im pulling my wallet out and she said ok I have a line. As I asked if she honored military she said no because you should have told me before the transaction so no Im not honoring it. I promise you I was nice and even said hi to her. She did that infront of my daughter and family. My mom and I and my daughter always shop there and the male owner is always nice and respectful. His wife who I think is his wife on the other hand lordtttt shes rude.

Horrible service! I ve been there on Saturday evening, September 5th 2020. Theirs huge scoops will give you diabetes on the spot. I asked for a kid scoop. They refused me. I asked them if they prefer to make a sale or not. They stick to their rule and preferred loosing a business and frustrate a client for 1 buck less in a sale. Wow, how come they are still in the business with this attitude. Also they didnt even comply with the current legislation to give you a written receipt. You ll find other options near by.

Ice cream seems pretty thin on flavor. The staff looks burned out and miserable. Its a shame because the prices would be fine if the ice cream was higher quality. But its just slightly below average. Wah wah.

This is a must-stop for any candy lover in the area. The very pleasant owners have a great assortment of candies you cant find in very many places including classic brands from the early 1900s. Usual taffy and jelly belly etc but there were taffy flavors I havent seen anywhere else. Nice homemade chocolate treats excellent fudge and many different types of caramel apples (which they will cut for you) plus baklava and Turkish delight. Plus ice cream next door. Definitely worth the trip.

Im now changing my review upon visiting Old Town Sweet Shop last month. The owner assisted us and was super friendly and made up for my horrible experience last time.Longest wait for ice- cream on record. 28 min wait....1 person serving ice-cream. I know its difficult for California small businesses to pay Democratic induced minimum wage increase but to make the public suffer repeatedly NOT ok. Every time Ive been in here....same story. Hire more people or close your doors.

Great Place to walk around but not a hot day.

We were excited to go check out this candy shop and get some goodies for a kids party. The prices were what I expected, but the lady working did not even turn to acknowledge us once during our visit. We were there over ten minutes and she sat in a corner talking on the phone.

I definitely recommend the Moose Track, was literally the best ice cream Ive ever had, and service was very friendly... you must stop if ever in town!!

Best candy shop, of coarse my grand kids loved the store. Owner is very nice, kind gentlemen. Selection was actually surprised, great candy selection and sweet food like fudge. A place you need to check out!

A fun blend of nostalgia and current trends in candy for all ages. The fudge is excellent. The candy is pricy. It lacks the cozy atmosphere that one would hope for in such a shop. The displays are crowded in some areas, and far too sparse in others. It could use some whimsy and imagination in its decor.

This is a fun place. Its something of an old time candy store. Its full of an assortment of candies. The ice cream part of the store is great too. It has about 20 ice cream flavors, and they even do shaved ice.

Lively place with a great selection and a friendly staff. I had the birthday cake flavored ice cream and it was perfect! Usually I keep it simple with vanilla or strawberry, but Im glad I went out on a limb for this one because it was really delicious

Went to the theater down the street. Stopped by the Sweet Shop after. They have a large assortment of candy and ice cream. Lots of fun to take grandkids there after an afternoon play.

They have awesome selection of candy from different parts of the world most UK candy bars are about $2.50. This is the second or third time that I’ve been there when I’m in the area. They also have bacon that’s covered with chocolate although I would not recommend it.

Just a heads up there are posts trying to dirty your stores name because of a no playing with the toy policy. I am a father of an autistic boy. And I say stick to your policy. Dont let anyone bully you into changing. That policy is there for everyone to even read. I have seen it. These people are wrong. Keep your policy please

Talk about overpriced...jesus and in top of that I was looking at a plastic wand (toy) I made the mistake of picking it up only to have the girl behind the counter scream like she was on fire dont play with the toys I assure you I wasnt. I would definitely advise everyone thinking or coming here to avoid it. You can get all of this at a gas station for a fraction of the cost.

For 9 months I hadnt had an ice cream.So the day after my daughters birthday, I am so excited to try this place for I heard its different. When we got there, it was closed.I looked at the window & knocked, the owner came out and said they are closed already, I told him my disappointment not having my cravings.....he open the door and let us in....he said its not to make a sale but to make us happy. What a nice gesture. God bless his heart and his business. We will definitely will come back.

Cute, but Overpriced. Two of the candies we bought were fine but three were stale. Our walnettos (taffy candies) were rock hard and inedible. I mean tooth chippingly hard. For how much theyre charging, youd think the candy would at least be fresh. The staff was at least friendly.

Meh. Tacky place. Same stuff I get at the grocery store served with a distinct lack of enthusiasm. It does not seem like they clean much; the chairs and tables were dirty. We only stopped in because ice cream sounded good. They will not allow customers to use their restroom. They directed us a few blocks over to a public restroom that looked and smelled like a hobo crack den. Is it just me, or should a candy and ice cream shop of all places offer a clean place to change a childs diaper?

The selection is vast and the store is organized and clean. The prices are a little high, but thats how all choose your own candy stores are. They offer candy apples and a ton of old school knick knacks.

Cute store but the manager or owner was rude and obnoxious. While browsing the store she snapped at us not to touch the toys, which we purchased by the way. Then as we were checking out and purchasing fudge she hovered over her employee and gave her a really hard time for forgetting to give us a tiny plastic knife. It ruined the experience a bit.

I went there today for our scavenger hunt during CBI and I saw a Shopkins pez dispenser more candy more chocolate covered pretzels, fudge, chocolate covered twinkies, and more candy.

If your going to sell toys then you shouldnt yell at customers for picking them up maybe I wanted to buy it.

I could literally buy 3 boxes of skittle at the dollar store an get more skittles. Sure the gummies cherry are good but 5 dollars worth ? No Im fine will not visit again.
