I made an appointment to get new tires mounted and balanced that I had ordered from Tire Rack. They did a good job but the young tech didnt protect my seat and he left an oily grease spot on my seat. I let them know I wasnt happy about having to clean my seat and the cashier told me he would take care of it with the young tech. He covered my steering wheel and my floor mat.

We had to stop for a strange noise my car was making on our trip from San Diego to Arizona, and Jorge was the best! He immediately had a mechanic drive with me around the block and expedited my service to get me back on the road. I appreciated them taking the time to inform me at each step as well. Donnie was my mechanic. Im so glad we stopped here of all places.

Pretty disappointed with the selection of cigarette accessory power outlets. Pep Boys used to be the goto choice for me. I took my selection to the checkout and a supervisor was trying to use the checkers terminal to validate a gift card. He couldnt figure it out and the checker tried to show him how. After I danced around for a minute the manager told the checker never mind and handle my purchase. Duh!

It took 4.5 hours to get my car diagnosed. I never got a call, had to go there myself to find out my car didnt need service. Took 40 minutes for me to wait to get my car back. I dont like putting negative reviews, but the service is really not as good as I would have thought.

Take your money elsewhere. Bad customer service and horrible craftsmanship. Took my car here today for a basic tire job and left extremely disappointment.-Tires not mounted correctly to wheels.-Balance weights not glued properly.-Wheels scratched.-Paid for new valve stems that were never installed (money was refunded).-Tire sensors not reprogramed.-One tire low once I got home. Probably a slow leak.Everything that could possibly go wrong did. Should have looked up their Yelp review before deciding to take my business here.

I normally like coming to this location but today I had to go in to the service department to get a diagnostic test done on my car due to my check engine light coming on. I already knew going in what was wrong with the car and the diagnostic test would confirm what I already knew. There were two groups ahead of me in line and the check in guy at on station said he would me back and left and it took awhile for another check in guy to come up. The check in guy that came up ask the group of the check in guy that left if they been help and asked me if I been helped. I told him what I needed and then he said oh well we need to do a diagnostic test which would cost $ 100 and if they needed to fix the problem then an extra amount would be added on.I thought apep Boys was affordable but didnt think a diagnostic test to find a problem would be so expensive. Diagnostic testing should be free of charge.

I came all the way from corona to to Temecula to pick up a part find out they close at 6 and not 7 o’clock asked an employee out front and said it’s been closed at 6 for months and there’s no one I can talk to. Google or Pep Boys needs to update the hours will never come here again

I had an appointment for an alignment check and tire rotation. With an appointment, I waited 2 hours for the initial check, then almost another hour for an alignment. This is an unacceptable amount of time for minor work with an appointment.Cannot Recommend

Horrible service. I had to get work done on vehicle. An oil change and front brake pads needed to be done. They guaranteed several times that It would take less than 4 hours to do both. It took them 4 hours to do JUST the oil change. Then they took all the tires off and recommended that I do the front brakes, which I already told them needed to be done, and get all 4 new tires. Then they wanted me to wait another 4 hours for them to do it. I told him no that I wasnt able to do it because of how long it took them to do just an oil change. Then they tried to scare me into getting it replaced right then and there by repeatedly saying that the brake pads were too low to drive off, and there was an extremely high chamge that the brakes wouldnt last any longer as if I didnt see before they started working on it how low the brake pads were. I was able to take it someplace else, and it was completely fine. I voiced to them how upset I was with their service. The guy was not happy and then he barely put the hub caps back on the front tire and passenger rear tire. Disgustingly Horrible service. If youre looking for quality, do not go to any Pepboys.

Horrible. Made an appointment for an oil change and tire rotation a week ago, 930am for Saturday the 13th. Was told we will get you right in. Arrived on time... once the service rep realized this was a warranty maintenance package the tone changed. Neglect, backburmer attitude toward me.. By 11am still was waiting, outside on the curb. Asked how much longer as I had a previous appointment at 12 noon.Had to leave, without the oil change. Avoid this place. Outside, heard rumblings from other valued clients I wasnt the only one waiting for extended durations. 👎👎

Huge oil leak in my driveway after an oil change. Came in, to have it fixed. Scrubbed my new driveway like mad to get the big oil stain out. After I drive my practically new car back home after supposedly fixed Having to have taken it back in, Another Huge oil stain on my driveway. Apparently, the SAME employee was put on the job to fix whatever he did wrong to mess up the simple oil change (had to do with the drain plug, nothing to do with my car as it had never leaked before the oil change). The SAME employee was put on the job a second time so I come home to have to scrub a big oil leak a SECOND time. We are SO lucky that I couldn’t help but see the HUGE oil leak when backing out of my driveway both times. And luckily the only place I had driven Both times was 14 miles From Pepboys. Had I driven my family in that car for the trip - I would have lost ALL MY OIL while driving I guarantee it when the engine is under pressure on the freeway. That’s how bad the job was. Whoever did the oil change twice needs to be put to mop floors NOT do oil changes ever again after endangering us and my new vehicle. I guarantee I would have broke down and had a blown engine with this much oil lost in just a 14 mile drive home TWICE in a row. Took asking for another tech to get it right but took having to go in 3 TOTAL times - and I work a couple jobs and don’t have time for that kind of ignorance. Had Zero to do with my car having an issue, and 100% with an employee causing one. Driveway still stained after scrubbing it several times - never had a stain before on my new home driveway from my new car. This employee better not be still doing oil changes!!!!! He needs to be mopping floors!

Terrible service, no cashier at cashiers desk all the employees ignore customers. Service desk employee just typing away ignoring the long line. Then tells customers this isnt the line to pay, go pay at parts desk and walks away. No signs directing customers. I do not recommend you wast your time there. Jaylonie the manager never available. 4 employees typing away on computers totally ignoring the long line. After 10 mins of waiting in wrong line we left. I called and spoke to Eric only to confirm he doesnt care about the lack of customer service. I will never spend money there again. Eric was Super rude, whomever owns this store would not appreciate losing money.

Terrible customer service. Went in for a routine oil change with an appointment at 9:00, arrived at 8:30. They didnt even start my car until almost 10:15. At 11:00, I asked how much longer, since my car was sitting outside. Tech went into the garage, came back said about 45 min, i asked why, was told they were having an issue. When I asked what kind of an issue since my car is outside parked, he left and came back saying they needed parts. Asked again, what parts do you not have for an oil change. Left again, ce back and said the car was ready.I didnt feel confident anything was actually done.

I needed an inspection for Uber ($19.99) and the service writer was really friendly. Not only was he friendly, but he got me in and out under 45 mins. The techs in the shop were professional when I was watching them work on customers vehicles. I am grateful for Pep Boys because Uber was sending me to a city that was a hour away. Fred and Miguel who write up the service orders are both great! I had the unfortunate situation of having a dead battery in the rain! I called Pep Boys and Fred said they had my battery in stock in to come on over. After I got a jump-start I went over there and because they were busy Fred actually installed the battery himself. The next day I went back and got my rear brakes fixed! Miguel was awesome! They did the work in a timely manner and I will definitely be going back to the Temecula Pep Boys location! As an added bonus I got a Pep Boys credit card that has zero interest on purchases over a certain amount for 6 months!

I put in an online order for two new tires. Their site said they would be available after 11AM the next day, so I used the online system to schedule an appointment for the afternoon. When I arrived for my appointment, the sales associate couldn’t find the tires. I was told that the store is unable to determine where the tires were and that my only course of action was to call their customer service line. Nobody offered to call for me, nor did they attempt to find a different tire that was in stock. When I called the customer service line, the representative told me that there was no way to track the tires that I had ordered and that it was impossible to tell me when they would arrive. At that time I was driving on a temporary tire. My time was wasted, I still needed new tires, and nobody ever made an attempt to make things right. I went to America’s Tire later that same day and had new tires on my car less than two hours later. Six days later, I received an email from Pep Boys that my order had been cancelled.I will never go to Pep Boys again.

Great service, staff and even better prices. We had Sal help us and he was extremely helpful and gave informative. Made us feel like family and answered all of our questions. The wait is a reasonable amount when you make an appointment, but if you are a walk-in it’s obvious that you are going to wait an average of two hours. I don’t have a problem with that at all! When we go to Toyota Dealership for Service it can be even double. My advice to those who don’t like waiting is to simply make an appointment.

I would never recommend pep boys for any mechanical work, was advised by a “Master Technician” I needed a whole engine replaced. All it was an gas tank flush, coil, spark plugs and fuel pump. Waste of time and money. Only useful for off the shelf spare parts or tires. Will not go back for anything.

I only shop at pep boys for all 3 of my cars. Great service. Good knowledge. And fair prices. Yes every one has bad days. Even you reading this. So dont say pep boys treated you bad. Say ALICE treated me unfairly.. or Joe from parts said no parts exist. .. thats my opinion. .. Ill finish with if you come with attitude. Youll probably get some back. I had to bring my car back for an oil leak they supposedly “fixed” the last time I used their service and this time 3 more leaks magically popped up and cost me over 3,000$ (more than I paid for the car itself) welp time for a new car I guess :/ 0/5 starsReply to pep boys owner, how about you investigate me a new car? My 11 am appointment for an oil change took 2 hours...I can walk in anywhere else and get out in 45 minutes...Ridiculous and I let them have it...they treat men better...sexist all the way!Update: Spoke to district manager and he apologized for my experience and assured me that he would take the steps necessary to make sure no one was given that kind of service in the future. He did acknowledge that at the very least I shouldve gotten a call that there would be a delay in servicing my vehicle...we shall see if this staff can eat humble pie and tone down the arrogance.

Unfortunatly my driveway is covered in oil after my oil change. Discovered my drain plug/ oil pan has been striped and leaking considerably. And attempted to be hidden with paint. I wish i had been notified of the issue.Update: The call I just made was not what I was expecting Hopfully customer service improves tomorrow when I try to solve this.Udate: 2 and issue solved. Went in to get my battery checked (two hour wait for a walk in) then when i was given the ok i was told nothing was wrong with my battery, starter, anything related. Ive had to jump start my car 4 times in the last week thanks to these guys telling me everything is fine. Usually go in here for oil changes but now Im gonna look for another spot. Who knows what bad info theyre giving out there now.

I am having an issue with my transmission. I called and asked if they will check the transmission. When I dropped my vehicle off, I told the guy that there is an issue with my transmission and they said they would check. What they didnt say was that they can not fix the transmission issue. Basically spent $90 for them to tell me what I already knew. If I would have known that, I would have taken it to a transmission specialist. Bunch of lying misleading crooks!

Ive had nothing but good experiences here. The prices are also exceptional. The service writers (Hey Josh!) remember me well after I have visited for service and even remember the service that I received. They never pressure me into services that I dont need. Even the mechanics thank me on the way out! The rewards program is also great I have received $70 in coupons in the last 6 months. Compared to other shops, I will continue to go here!

3 stars because I had a good experience a few months back with my Ford truck. Decided to bring my other car in for an oil change. Not only was the price double,( could be a different oil brand) but I had a 10AM appointment. Walked myself and toddler to the mall, called at 11:10 to see if the car was almost done. They said they need 30 more minutes. Made my way back to pep boys they service tech said it was almost done and I paid. To only sit in the waiting room with large windows looking at the service bay and see them just now bring in the car for the oil change!!!!!!! It is 12:15!Not happy! Will not be back!0 stars for todays service.

So i scheduled an appointment for an oil change, and it clearly stated on their website that if you make an appointment, waiting time is only 30 minutes guarantee...i waiting two hours before i asked whats the status? In December of 2015, I went into Pep Boys to purchase a radial trailer tire. After they mounted a tire and I rolled it out to my vehicle, I discovered it was NOT a radial tire. So after I went back inside, they corrected their error and mounted a radial tire at a cost of $130.00. But now, they charge me the difference in price. That was okay but I at least thought I would get a discount for my now inconvenience. Since the correct tire had been mounted and air pressure always checked before hitting the road, I put approximately 2000 miles on the tire. In September 2016, I checked the Pep Boys purchased tire, to discover the tread is now separating from the tire even though the tread still looks new, I took the tire back to Pep Boys and was told, too bad because there is no warranty after you pay for the tire. I went to Big O Tires, purchased a trailer tire for about $25.00 less with a 3 year warranty. Pep Boys SUCKS, and I will never shop there again. I wish I could rate them with NO star.

Came in to do my routine maintenance on my Mercedes and was helped by Jesse he was very knowledgeable about my car and needed my tires rotated and oil change he recommend the original oil for my car and had finished the job in 30 minutes and gave me some of the best customer service and did dealership quality work and was very professional, I will DEFINITELY ask for Jesse when I need my car serviced again. Horrible experience! To start unable to pay through their website cards kept declining for no reason. Tried different cards and different computer and phone, No luck. When I get there right at opening they would not honor the online price even though it was a website error. They then told me that I would have to leave the car there all day in order to guaranty it would be done that day as they had to get the tires from another store and if I left I would have to get in the back of the line, so I left the car after being told that the tires would be in about 2:30. 5:00 rolls around and no call, so I called them. They claimed they were just about to call and my tires didnt come in. I had told them at drop off that I was leaving town in the morning for a vacation driving. They never mentioned a possibility of the tires not arriving, I would of left. Unfortunately I had no option but to buy more expensive tires at 5:15 on a Sunday night to leave the next morning. They were not willing to offer anything but excuses on the price difference between the tires. To finish up they call me at 6:01 to tell me the car is ready, and by the way we closed a minute ago can you hurry. I get there at 6:10 everything is locked up had to pound on the door to get somebody to answer. Worst experience ever and zero customer service. NEVER going back!!!!

Customer service was quite lacking. Went in to buy a fuse. At first it seemed like a ghost town. Then noticed an employee working at a counter on side wall (service guy?). No greeting, like I was bothering him. He pointed to where the fuses were. Another employee came along and walked me to where they were. Thank you! Neither understood the type I was looking for. So I had to find it myself. Went back to the counter because checkout was empty. No eye contact, just told me to go to checkout. Went back to empty checkout and waited. And waited. Another person waited behind me. Then someone behind glass in a little booth in the corner waved me to go to another counter in middle. Waited behind a customer that was scrolling thru phone. Why? Again, no greeting from employee. Checked out. 3 stars bc they had what I needed. And, maybe bc it was Memorial Day, they were not fully staffed? There are much friendlier and more helpful auto parts stores. Dont intend to return here.

When ever I have my car taken there they fix it and it runs for as long as they have promised it would unlike J&D Auto Service and other places around me that over charges and lie about parts that have to be replaces just so they can make some $$ of me. Worst experience EVER! I made an online appointment for 5pm because my car was leaking coolant; I showed up 30 min earlier and got checked in. 6pm came around my car was still in the parking lot. I asked and was told I was next, however they put 3 vehicles ahead of mines waited some more. I asked again and was told very rudely if I wanted my keys to go home, which was very mess up knowing my car was leaking coolant. And, to make things worst one of the guys moved my appointment from 5pm to 7:45pm without giving me notice mind you, they close at 8pm.I had waited a total of 3 hours and when I threatened to call corporate they brought my car in and gave me a quick diagnosis and said they needed a part from the dealer and now I had to wait till Monday because the dealer was closed. I asked how much would all this be the guy said roughly $100 not including tax and also offered me a discount of the bill. Maybe if they checked my car at 5pm my appointment time they would off found that they needed a part and I would of went home and left my vehicle and that would of being the end of it.Monday came and I received a call that they Recommended I replace heater hose assembly attached to firewall. A/C must be disconnected to service cooling system. The initial repair estimate was $1055 as they cannot do a proper cooling system test due to the nature of the leak @ the heater hose assembly. That once repair is complete they must retest to check for any possible damage to engine from overheating.At this point I had enough, I towed my vehicle to the dealer who did a new diagnosis and came up with a total different issue and they quoted me $600 including brake fluid and oil change. Never again will I go to a Pepboys for service.

I had a part transferred here from another pep boys. They said it would be in the next morning and I would get a call. I did not get a call, but went down there at night anyway. They did not have it, but apologized and said it would be there the next day and I would get a call. I didnt get a call. So I called them and they could not find it. I had the guy check again and they did in fact find it. So cool I got the part, but with a lot of hassle. If you can, go somewhere else.

The fact that they refused the refund, on top of the poor diagnosis, has left a bad taste in my mouth.I brought my 2011 Volvo in because I had misfires on cylinders 1 and 2, and I had them do their $89.99 Engine Diagnostic. They called me saying that the sparks plugs were loose and not torqued down right and suggested that the Bosch spark plugs be replaced with the Original Equipment NGK spark plugs, and that replacing them would be $320 (yes, $320 to replace six $14.19 plugs, not including the $90 for the diagnostic). They also said I had misfires on 3 cylinders, not 2 cylinders. I told them that those Bosch spark plugs were only a week old, and that the problem started BEFORE the plugs were replaced. The representative I was talking to put me on hold to tell the mechanic. He came back offering for me to pay $200 for them to torque them down. I declined, payed the $80.99 (had a 10% discount) and took my car to the next parking lot over to check the torque and plugs myself. I will note that they also mentioned that all cylinders passed the compression test, this will be important later.The plugs were torqued right, and I even got some new NGK plugs and put them in cylinders 1 and 2 to see if the Boschs for some reason were causing a problem, even though the problem manifested before the Boschs were put in. I used Volvos specialized bi-directional communication tool (called a Vida communication tool) to actively watch the misfires happening, and with correctly torqued NGK plugs I still had misfires at the same rate as before and in cylinders 1 and 2, no other cylinders showed more than just 1 misfire, and that was at engine startup.I went back into the store to talk to the manager about getting a refund for the diagnostic. I explained everything Ive said in this review; he said that they cant give a refund to every guy that comes in who did the repair themselves and it still didnt fix the problem. When I said that if they actually did a compression test they would have found that cylinder 3 has a leak as its compression, both wet and dry, is 20% lower than the other 5 cylinders he said that since the mechanic had gone home for the night, he would talk to him in the morning and give me a call. Im waiting on that call now.When I asked what would happen if they replaced all of the plugs for $320 and the problem still existed, the manager said that if the mechanic says the spark plugs are the problem, then thats what the problem is. When I pushed and asked again, If for some reason the repair didnt work what would happen? He said he would give me a big discount on whatever repairs were still needed, and that the discount would be the price of the spark plug job ($320) and they would put the old spark plugs back. Big discount, huh?So, their diagnosis was wrong, and they wanted to charge me a total of $400 for a repair that would not have worked. I did not want to pay for a repair that wouldnt have worked. I suppose if I approved the $320 repair and let them do it, and had them find out that wasnt the problem, then they might have continued trying to find the problem. But after hearing 1) That the problem was definitely the spark plugs when I knew 100% that it wasnt, and 2) That all of the cylinders passed the compression test when they dont, I had no confidence in their mechanics ability to diagnose and I wanted my car out of there. I feel that if they would have refunded me, then everything could be chalked up to me taking a European car to the wrong place, and that I should stick to specialists.Ill update this review if/when I hear back from them, but I dont have high hopes for a positive resolution.

I have appointment 8 in the morning to install a new censor on my tire they didn’t have the parts. The staff didn’t pillow up with me or my husband that they didn’t have the part for my car. We showed up for the appointment they didn’t have a clue . Very very dissatisfied. I will not recommend Bep Boys.

Need more staff. There were only 2 people helping us and the line was long, it was crazy coz the info for parts center was also being used for a line to purchase things so basically if someone in front is asking questions about parts and they gotta look it up, find it etc, any customer behind them who just wants to purchase a tire gauge has to wait. Two people behind me actually returned what they were gonna buy and just left. I see what looks to be a manager just walking around the floor not helping the 2 people working at the register. And this was at 10:30am, I can imagine what it would be like later in the afternoon.

RUN AWAY!Like most people I think Pep Boys is a respectable place to get your car worked on. You hear the name and you know you wont be charged for this and for that, and theyll get the job done right.this is not the case with this location. They charge you $100 just to tell you what the problem is, but even the expensive car dealers would then deduct this from your bill. When i go to Honda and I pay $100 to find out whats wrong and my repair is $500 they only charge me $500, not this pep boys they add it on so a $500 repair costs $600When being quoted for the parts needed to repair my wifes VW they told me one part was $170, I went on their website and found it for $50. They wanted to over charge me by 340%!Then while my car was there over night both the driver and passenger side window were smashed and my wifes digital camera was stolen. Pep boys did the courtesy of calling the police and filing a report, but wouldnt offer me the slightest discount on repairs for the trouble i was going through. which is odd because they were willing to over charge me 340% but couldnt give me 1% off labor.I also ordered things online that they said they left in the car, but when i got home and looked only half my order was in the back seat!

I bought 4 tires from them 2 months ago, yesterday I had a low tire pressure, and when I got there they said it will take up to 4 hrs before it’s ready. So I came back and dropped and took at least 2.5 hrs and they said the car is ready and still can can see the low tire pressure and they said it will go away. Today I woke up and saw the tire is half way down and I called them to bring it back and still they are tell me will get to it when we get to it( great customer service), now I dropped it and I got told that it could take up to 2 hrs, so came back in 2.5 hours and still did not touch my car. HOPEFULLY Will know to fix it this time, which I am not sure that they will.Now after more than 4 hours waiting, they come and tell me yesterday we thought there was only 1 hole and we fixed it, but today they said oh actually there are 6 holes, so we can’t fix it, it needs to be replaced.So,1) it took them 2 days to figure a flat tire, and instead of fixing it in day one, I drove more on a damaged tire and can be fixed, now I have to replace and pay( hahahahaha: pride of their work)2) Put my 2 bus and I life on the spot thinking that my tire was fixed3) poor customer service4) not as the owner said that that they take pride of what they do, it’s just a business.This is just my personal experience. Sad to go through all of thisGuess what, I left the shop and still I have low tire pressure. Called them so they can fix it first thing in the morning and to speak to a manager, the answer I get is, we are sorry our manager is gone for the day, and I asked if I can be taking care of first thing in the morning and they said no guarantee

Lost my business for sure. Terrible customer service and no willingness to help out or make accommodations. Here is my experience trying to get an oil change done on my car.Sat on the phone for 10 minutes to see how busy the place was. Had to hang up and call parts to get someone ask service how busy they were. I was told that the had no available spots for the day but if I came in tomorrow I would for sure be able to get and oil change done.I came into the store to do an oil change the next day. I was told it was a 3 hour wait, that I couldnt make an appointment for 3 hours later and would have to leave my car here for 3 hours. Apparently I could not come back in 2 hours with my name on the list because it was company policy. Their solution was to make an appointment for the next day. Even with the appointment, there was no garuntee that they could have me in and out in an hour. One of the service employees laughed at me when I asked if it was possible.(have changed my own oil for years in college when I couldnt afford to have it done)When I left there were no apologies that they couldnt help me, and no one said good bye or have a good day.If this is a reflection of the company I will go out of my way to never shop at pep boys again

Ive been taking my car here for years and always have a positive experience. They take good care of my car, whether its for simple oil changes or tire replacement, or the radiator that burst on my way in.Since they are a busy shop, I usually drop my car off and walk to the mall for an hour or so to do some shopping.
