Update: Ended up refusing the door delivery 9.5 weeks after it was ordered. The paint job was cracked at the seams in the materials and showed visible signs of joint compound where fabrication was imperfect. Some combination of poor quality construction, less-than-necessary packaging, and a rough ride across the country led to me refusing the order for its poor condition upon arrival. The company did provide a full refund, but I would not recommend using Rustic Luxe Designs unless you can pick the product up from their facility, and even then, only if youre willing to risk the door deteriorating over time with regular use.Bumping up to two stars because they provided the refund.Original: Leaving a temporary one-star review in hopes that I can get a response here, since Im not getting a timely response via email and they arent answering the phone. Paid for a door 8 weeks ago, checked in two weeks ago (6 weeks was the communicated lead time) and was told the item was crated and would be shipped within days. Now, two weeks later, I cant seem to get a response with an update on the status of the order.

We ordered two large customs barn door from rustic luxe and are seriously in love. The company custom stained the doors to match my kitchen cabinets and it genuinely looks like it was built with the house. The doors are so well made and now the new statement piece of the room. I admit I was nervous ordering everything online and not seeing the product but sooooo happy we did. The company was very responsive and reliable as well, made for a great experience.

This company produces VERY poor quality products, see attached photos for yourself. I ordered 3 custom made sliding barn doors to be shipped to NYC. After waiting about 5 weeks, they came to me packaged in 3 home depot boxes with no protection to either the front or the back of the doors. The paint job sucked, the glass work was very poorly done, and the owner, Kristan Roberts, took no accountability for the poor workmanship. I would NEVER do business with this company again and I highly suggest anyone reading this find another company to give your business to. I was refused a refund by Kristan Roberts and had to dispute the charge with my credit card company in order to be credited back for the charge. She is not a good person to do business with if you expect quality product and good costumer services.

Working with Kristin from Rustic Luxe Boutique has been an absolutely horrible experience, more like a nightmare! This company lacks professionalism & common courtesy. Originally I placed an order for my client for a door & hardware in February which took months to arrive. The first door delivered was completely damaged & the second (photographed) arrived with a shattered mirror. Also, you can see the mirror was packaged poorly. Who uses Home Depot boxes to ship a very delicate package after the first one arrived in pieces. I’m surprised the frame held up during the Florida to NYC journey.Throughout the process of sending a replacement door, Kristin was impossible to reach and the few times she did she blamed “family emergency” and “she’ll follow up once she’s back in town.” Now I understand as a fellow business owner that orders get backed up and stress levels are high BUT there’s no excuse for not picking up/returning phone calls. Kristin agreed to reimburse my client for half the cost of the door & cover costs to replace mirror but has not returned any of my phone calls for weeks (photographed). My client and I are well past being patient and courteous. An inconvenience doesn’t begin to define this experience. We’ve paid for a product that arrived damaged MONTHS AGO! I noticed the company responds to ratings so maybe this way I’ll finally have someone call me and be done with this! As an interior Designer, I urge my fellow colleagues to use a different vendor at all costs!!

Completely horrible customer service. They are refusing to answer any of our calls as we are trying to get the right hardware to hang a very large expensive door we had made. Instead they are not reading emails with the proper specifications and continue to send the wrong parts. It’s so bad they are sending wood pieces meant to mount the door that are the completely different color stain from the door itself. A simple call would likely resolve. I am now left with a huge piece of wood I can’t do anything with.

I bought online this doors a couple of months ago. The owner and I started sending emails back and forward; and got into a confusion and I got a model of doors that I didnt expect; to be honest I was very frustrated since I was expecting something else. I spoke with the owner; and after some disagreements we had; she reacted giving me an excellent customer service; doing everything she had to do for me to be a happy customer. The doors are beautiful; I was just able to hang them and they have so much character. They are beautiful doors; and the work is outstanding. I deeply recommend before buying the doors online; to make sure you and the owner know exactly that you are talking about the same doors before you buy them. Even though they were not what I was expecting; I am very happy with my doors; on how they came out with the room and with the attitude of the owner. I really recommend the doors of this store are a work of art.

Although the quality of the doors are great, the customer service is just horrible. Over the past 10 months Ive renovated every aspect of my home, floor and drywall included.I ordered these doors in October of 2019 and its May 2020 and I have yet to receive the necessary items to hang my doors. The company states a 6 week lead time for construction, I didnt even receive the doors until 5 months after the invoiced date.Being as this company is local, Im flabbergasted by the simple negligence and lack of care to complete an order in the simplest fashion to keep a customer happy. Ive been very patient, I would just like to hang the doors that I paid nearly $4,000 for 6.5 months ago.I would be remiss if I didnt share my experience and others were dragged through the same process.

I am not one to leave negative reviews but I had such a terrible experience with this company. Our doors were delivered weeks late, the communication during the entire process was bad and the actual product - the custom barn doors that we spent thousands of dollars on - had a terrible paint job that left streaks and blotchy areas where it looked like only a primer was applied. The quality of our doors did not match what their pictures show online. I was excited to support a local tampa barn door company but we had to return them. I’m happy to of had a full refund but am still disappointed by the terrible customer service and the bad quality of the doors received.

Not even a 1 star. This is the most bizarre and unprofessional company and I use the word company lightly. Ordered over $4000 in doors. Paid in FULL in advance. Communication was pristine until invoice pair then owner, Kristan, ghosts you. Bizarre. Not sure if this is a hobby or a scam. I am putting my money on scam. Set install date and owner claimed incorrect hardware arrived. Then that was it. MIA. No return texts. No return calls. But she is happy to laugh her way to the bank with my money. I have contested all charges and if any issues returning my money my lawyers will finish her off. RUN from this company. RUN. There are many other companies that would be happy for your business. With the way Kristan is running hers I would say she wont be around long. Shady AF
