I would not recommend anyone use Torres Granite. I would not recommend them to friends or family. At best they are incompetent and at worst this is a scam. Updates at the bottom.Torres Granite was recommended to me by a different contractor. I used Torres Granite based on this recommendation. My kitchen countertops are 35 sq ft and I was required to purchase a full 55 sq ft slab in order to have the counters installed. (Portion deleted because I dont want to accuse anyone of theft.)Torres Granite installed the countertop and sink on June 15. That evening my wife and I noticed chips in the countertops that were not probably sealed. This likely would have gone unfixed if they hadnt been noticed and Im sure Torres Granite would have been satisfied that they pulled on over on us. However, we noticed the chips and called Torres Granite and somebody came out the next day, June 16, to properly fix the chips. Great.Fast forward to June 18, we have a plumber out to fit the faucet an drain now that the countertop and sink were installed. The plumber immediately notices something isnt right because our undermount sink was BEING HELD UP BY A STRAP. This was three days after installation and the sink was already falling away from the countertop and the screws holding the strap were tearing apart our cabinets. (Torres Granite tried to blame the plumber for the sink falling off the countertop When installing the drain the plumber put too much pressure on the sink and caused it to fall. The plumber hadnt even begun working. Theyre very quick to pass the blame.) I call Torres Granite and after a heated exchange they send someone out the same day to fix the sink. Great. It is now the day after, 6-19-21, and again my sink is falling apart from my countertop. If they did not know how to install the sink then they should have said so, should not have taken my money for the sink, and should not have wasted my time. The fact that they were not upfront about their inability to install this sink is what prompts me to call this a scam.Ive uploaded photos with the date the work was done so that their quality of work can be seen by anyone thinking of using Torres Granite. In these photos the gap between the sink and countertop are clearly visible. Like I stated at the beginning, I would not recommend Torres Granite to anyone. At best thy are incompetent at worst they are a scam.Update: Adding photos of the response from Torres Granite via text. Im not blocking out the phone number because it is from the official number that is shared on Google. Theyre claiming they have proof that the sink was installed correctly. If this is how a sink is correctly installed then why is it falling apart the day after installation. Furthermore, threatening to place a lien against my home if I attempt a refund through my bank due to this poor work. Id like to reiterate that nobody use this service.
