My experience is limited but what experience I have was good. I walked in and they diagnosed the problem with my computer quickly and didnt charge me anything for the diagnosis (fair warning: my problem was simple, and if it was a tough diagnosis or I was talking to someone else they might have charged me). They were also honest about my options for repair.

Im a bit of a Luddite when it comes to technology. I have amodern desk top system as well as an antique 30 year oldDOS system. I use both regularly. The DOS system finallykeeled over and died recently. Derek and the gang figuredout how to install this program on my modern machine.I was very impressed. I have been to several repair shops for my iPhone and for another laptop; because I needed my work laptop repaired as soon as possible, I decided to bring in my laptop to a shop that was available ASAP. When I brought the laptop into the repair shop, it was fully working, the only issue was a fan noise; I have videos taken right before the laptop was brought in as I had sent to my preferred providers which stated they thought it was the fan. When I brought it to the shop, this provider did a full diagnostic and informed me that the fan was the issue and that this would only be a certain price and would be done within one to two days.About two weeks went by without any communication from the provider, and I started to get concerned so I called them back after two weeks and the provider informed me only then that my laptop was no longer working. They failed to reach out to me and when I did reach out they provided me with a long explanation about all the checks that they do and how the laptop was always in the best care and how it wasn’t their fault; at the same time, they also stated that they work on over 50 laptops a week so how could they pay as close attention to my laptop as they claim. I am certain that it was their fault that my laptop stopped working. I told them that I would not pay for their mistake or for additional repairs and I would need to pick up my computer at no cost. They proceeded to stated that they would be removing “THEIR” fan, in a that tone, to which I said that was fine.This provider has failed on several fronts:Their diagnostic: if it wasn’t correct, how could you trust what they say?Their communication: why wasn’t I informed immediately after they figured out the issue? Why did I have to reach out?Their defensive demeaner and not taking blame: how could you assert that you had your attention fully on my laptop to ensure that they had not done anything incorrect but also say you work on over 50 laptops a week?Ultimately, this provider has caused me to lose significant time from doing my school work, many school files that I had from the past 4 years, this was my main work laptop that I used everyday for zoom meetings with my students, and lost many memories due to the photos that I no longer have.If there was a rating less than zero, this provider deserves it.

I dropped by laptop a year ago or so, and I thought physical damage was the worst of it. I was wrong: when I dropped my laptop, the jack mounting point broke and my laptop from then on charged erratically and then ceased charging altogether. I dropped my laptop off here and within a week, they were able to find the damaged part and replace it for a quite reasonable price. They are very respectful, laid-back, and extremely knowledgeable. The title Last Stop Computers seems ironic, because if youre in the Tacoma area and your device is acting up, this little shop should ideally be your FIRST STOP.

Awesome computer repair service. The guy that runs it is knowledgeable to the max and totally honest. Ive been there a couple of times and came away with no charge, but some great advice. A wonderful place of business that I highly recommend.

My laptops hard disk crashed. Last Stop did data recovery and got a ton of stuff back for me. When I noticed some important files were still missing, I brought the hard drive back and they did recovery again, this time with some specific search parameters. It was tricky, but they persisted over several days and got what I needed. The guys were personable, courteous, informative, and patient. Im very satisfied!

These guys are great they are honest with you up front about what they can do for you and they charge an extremely reasonable amount compared to the time and care they put into their craft. They are extremely knowledgeable about all the current tech as well as the old stuff. I cant recommend them enough, if youre having computer issues these are the guys that can save it. My first experience with Last Stop was in about 1996 when Brian replaced the floppy drive unit in my 486. I had shorted it by laying it across a bus with the power on. Last Stop also built my wifes computer. It runs great, and she loves their service. I have used them a couple of other times in the ensuing 20+ years -- I like messing around with computers and so use them only when stumped -- my Last Stop -- and find them friendly, knowledgeable, responsive, fair, and honest. I last visited them last week when I took a laptop with a cracked screen in to them. Instead of just trying to sell me a screen and installation on a 4 -5 year old computer, they advised that it probably wasnt worth fixing and gave me some options for either replacing the computer or disabling the touch feature on the cracked screen. Great guys!

Last Stop Computers is an excellent place to have your PC diagnosed and, if necessary, repaired. The techs there are knowledgeable, skilled and easy to talk with. Turnaround for repairs is fast, depending on availability of parts. For me, Last Stop Computers ordered and replaced the battery on an older but still usable Asus laptop within four working days.

Ive been a repeat customer. Always treated me well in the past. They are very competent technicians. Never before tried to over sale me anything like some car mechanics do. But I am downgrading their rating from 5 star to 2. They want to charge me minimum 65 dollars up to 150 dollars for a 2 minute fix. They could have told me what to do over the phone.

They listen to what I needed. I felt that they were honest in what they had to say!

Great staff right here! Everyone was super helpful and they absolutely wanted to try to figure out the problem from the bottom up. They suggested my computer just needed dust removed from my computer and now my computer is back to streaming without interruption. Honestly, I did not think they would be able to fix it, as the problem seem to only appear at the worst possible moments .When I took my lap top in it, of course, worked perfectly. They were persistent, found the problem and (hooray) my laptop works beautifully again.Value, communication, skill and friendliness are what you will find here.

Called in needing some help with a PC Factory Reset. I didnt have a backup or factory reset to use. They didnt sell me anything I didnt need. $10 bucks solved my problem. Thanks so much guys. Having this fixed will make the kids happy.

Would recommend. My mac went crazy and wouldnt boot. Dropped it off and they were able to fix it over night without losing my files. Normally I would take my computer to Best buy which take weeks and over priced. After reading the reviews I decided to take a chance. To restore my computer it cost me around 130 which isnt bad. I did have to take off a star only because my computer came back with scuff marks on the top.

Went in to have a bigger PSU put in to a new pre-built rig and walked out with a ton of new knowledge, a remounted motherboard so I can use my USB 3.1 slot, case fans facing the right direction (they were originally installed backwards) and some bright shiny lights on said fans working for the first time.Everybody was super friendly and engaging as well. Everybody shared a story or two with me about some of their experiences which was very educational. I wont ever buy pre-built again (first time I had done so since the early 90s) and my next rig will be built by Last Stop. They are the real McCoy.Plus they have really cool shop dogs which I wish I could give a sixth star for.

We’ve had Last Stop recently build us a new state-of-the-art Desktop PC, and its light years ahead of the previous HP Desktop PC we had. Also, Andrew came to our home, and did a complete and thorough Wifi reconfiguration inside our home, as our Wifi reception had been spotty and inconsistent. All of Andrew’s wifi recommendations and helpful suggestions were Spot-on, and ever since, we haven’t experienced any wifi issues, which is both remarkable and so appreciated! These guys know their stuff, you can trust them to not BS you or waste your time or money, and they are an easy to find and reach, local computer Company. I highly recommend you use them for ALL your computer-related needs. You won’t be disappointed!

I have an older laptop, XPS M1730, that I needed fixed. Ive worked on many of these my self and brought it in because thats what I needed to do to have the work and parts paid for, from a hardware standpoint it is an easy machine to work on, you dont have to do anything special to open it, just pull off an easily removed bezel and remove some easy to get to standard screws... no weird sizes or anything. Once inside the screws are even numbered on what to remove. So, I knew their first CLAIM that it was a pain to work on WAS BOGUS. Then they told me it would be 120 dollars an hour to work on it which was FOUR TIMES THE RATE on their website. If I would have had a good experience as a customer I would have applied to work there.Response to owner:A program I was going through made me take it to a shop in order for them to pay for it, just because I have skills to fix it doesnt mean I had the funds to get the parts.

VERY DISHONEST.While they used to be reliable and performed good work, they are no longer trustworthy.Buyer Beware!! They performed unauthorized services on my system, including deleting software subscription that I had paid for without my knowledge or consent, removed internal screws and left them in the bottom of the case and had the nerve to charge for it.Andy was unusually rude and talked loudly and fast when I asked questions about the service. I will never bring my machines to them again and cannot, in good conscience, recommend them. The only people giving them 5 star reviews are ignorant rubes who dont know theyve been cheated.

During my first build, I hit a wall and couldnt figure out what to do. Didnt know what I was doing wrong. Was afraid I fried the motherboard.Brought in my external build and they tested out some different components. Found my problem (incompatible RAM - yeah Im dumb), found some issues in my build (misplaced fan), and did this all for free. They quoted me for new RAM, suggested how I could sell the old RAM, and got me back on track for my first build.Yes!

The technician evidently had no idea what he was talking about. They suggested that my power shortage symptom was caused by too few screws in the PC case... If you care to not waste your time, try somewhere else.

Here is the negative review that I gave APlus Computer Tech regarding my computer before I ended up taking it to Last Stop Computers:I would give Aplus Computer Tech. no stars if I could. I took my Dell laptop to these techs on 12-14-2015 with invoice work order #38458 because the fan was not working and my computer was overheating and cutting off. They told me that they would give me a call in a week after they diagnosed the problem. I got no call, so I went to the store and I was told that my mother board needed to be replace for about $500. They told me to just replace the computer. What a bunch of fools. I took my computer in to Last Stop Computers on 6th avenue and Andrew got me up and running in less than 5 working days. Not only did he fix my fan problems he fixed all of my system problems that was causing my computer to run slow at not additional cost. I am blazing now on my computer as I type this review. Do not bring your computer to these techs at APlus Computers. After I got my computer back from Last Stop Computers, I went back to A Plus Computer Tech to complained and I was told that the store fired a lot of people. I wonder if this was true. Anyway good luck if you decided to leave your computer with this company.
