This is a great day trip you can watch production and get ice cream for a dollar.

Very fun place that can be enjoyed in a little time. A viewing area of the factory. Good size bowls of ice cream for 1$. A couple dozen flavors of their ice cream. Easy parking across the street. Hard to go wrong here.

Really cool detour on our road trip. Theres a viewing area to watch the factory, a gift shop, and an ice cream parlor. Def worth the stop.

Had a 7:00 am delivery appointment. Broker said they will take me early. (Liar). Got there at 5:00 pm the day before, only to be told they couldnt unload me. They were very professional. Theres a parking lot just outside the plant. They said I could park overnight and they would get me early. At 5:00 am they knocked on my door, gave me a dock unloaded in 20 minutes, reloaded me for my 2 delivery and rolling by 6.... Now thats what you call great service.. dont mind coming back.. great people all of them..

This was my familys first visit to Blue Bell and from the moment we climbed the steps to reach the cremery observation deck we were enchanted. Everyone was so friendly and informative. But the absolute best part was actually eating Blue Bells delicious ice cream. The parlor had a large selection of their customers favorites and for only $1/cup we received 3 heaping scoops of our choice. It was a fabulous after noon and well worth the hour drive. We plan on visiting again very soon.

My kids and I love Bluebell! The Southern BlackBerry Cobbler and Pistachio Almond my my favorites and ya gotta love $1 icecream at the icecream parlor!

What an awesome gem that I did not know existed. Neat little ice cream parlor and country store. I have been thru Sylacauga for years and never thought to stop and visit Blue Bell. What a great experience. Huge ice cream cups, that just cost $1, with all the different flavors plus you get to view the production floor. So very impressive.

Love the staff. As we arrive to unload our truck we are greeted and taken care of almost immediately. Also they give us drivers a sample ice cream.

OMG Blue Bells factory here in Sylacagua is very clean and friendly everytime no later what if we go through Sylacagua we stop lol we where just there last week just know you can take pictures but not of where they make the ice cream we love it there

Make sure your trailer is clean, clean, clean. Closest washout is 40 mins away, (Turnipseed truck wash, If theyre open!)They wasnt on a Tuesday morning.I had to drive all the way to Tuscaloosa to get a washout! Frustrating day, thus my reasoning for three stars. However, they areVery friendly, and I think they give out samples.

This is such a great place to go. You, obviously, get to eat some great ice cream for very small amounts of money. You can also watch the ice cream being made from a birds eye viewpoint above the factory floor. They have a gift shop full of cute things. Stop in and enjoy!

Best dollar spent for ice cream you are going to get. Many flavors to pick from, just do not look for vanilla ice cream. Come before 2PM to see the production line in motion. Cleaning up for next run after 2. Country store opens its doors 9:00AM.- 4:30PM.

Fun stop. Windows look down onto the production line. You dont see very much of the process, but the machinery quickly filling half-gallon tubs of ice cream is interesting. Large shop of Blue Bell merchandise. Best of all is the ice cream parlor, where you can get two scoops for only $1.

Very easy in and out, but coming from the north, need a sign or if there is one I missed it, to turn down the narrow street to get in with a semi

We walked right in, walked up to the parlor and enjoyed large servings of delicious ice creams (including specialty flavors) for just a dollar a serving! Nice simple thing to do with the family while the kids can overlook the factory floor and watch ice cream being made.

For the truckers. This area is very truck restrictive. Dont allow the signs to deceive you. From the Main street (Broadway), turn into 4th street (going west) and drive past the Blue Bell building until you get to N Industrial ave. Which is the street behind the building to the right and go to the far end of Industrial heading north, after passing the gate. At the end of Industrial turn right and you will see a dumpster across from some docks. The check in building is next to those docks were you see some awnings. The staff was super friendly, and one of the bosses there had asked me if I needed to use the restroom. Also had offered me if I wanted to take an ice cream I was more than welcome.

It is amazing to watch Blue Bell ice cream being made. The very best part is being able to eat it!! At $1 per cup, you cant beat the cool treat!!! 💗🍨

We stopped early afternoon to take a look at Blue Bell Creamery. Get there before school lets out or could be very crowded.We were able to see them packaging the Ice Cream from viewing windows on the 2nd floor.The ice Cream parlor is also on the 2nd floor. You get to choose 2 scoops of Ice Cream for a dollar. Very nice old school parlor and very clean.We were told you could not get 2 different scoops of Ice Cream in your cup. Why?They are not thinking right. By trying two new flavors you havent had before, you just might buy that new flavor at the store.A great afternoon visit with a friendly staff.

For truck entrance, turn on 4th street, then on Industrial ave. This is good for local deliveries. However, it’s possible that the easiest route is making a turn on 6th street. It’s a wider street and probably has less traffic.For refrigerated loads, do not break the seal until they inspect it and authorize you to do so.

Skip breakfast. Theres an ice cream shop that is $1 per person. It is insanely tastey and youll inevitably stuff yourself to the point of sickness. (Yes, for a dollar). Not a large viewing area anymore, though you still get a general view and idea of the production-packing aspect. Fun for the Littles. Gift shop on site. Great spot for a partial day activity. **Not much walking so if youre allergic to exercise, a definite recommendation.

If you are delivering here, they start at 0600. The delivery entrance is on industry ave. They have overnight parking on your left at the gate. Great people free ice cream for the drivers.

For truckers they have overnight parking at frontgate for ppl coming from birminghim side take exit Al-21 N brodway then make left on 4 th street then go straight and on industrial st there is enterace gate they open at 7:45am parkings are sideby frontgate my appt was at 8 got empty at 8:30am when you enter the gate come all the way to back then take right you see a garbage box and you see the docks!they have great service for truckers free icecrems inside!

Wish there was more of to see. There is only one overlook of the production floor. But the $1 ice cream cup sample was delicious.

Fun place to take kids. They also offer small tours. Good company that cares about the community and employees. One of the anchor businesses in Sylacauga as far as tourist things to do. There is a nice park right across the street.

Wonderful place for a quick stop while traveling up 231. The ice cream is only $1 per cup. You get a nice view of the creamery and also a history lesson on the best ice cream in the country.

In this Ice cream making facility, they have $1 ice servings. I am able to try different varieties before buying my cone. The Ice palor reminds me of old ice shops.

Very cute ice cream shop where you only pay $1 for a cup of ice cream and you can watch it being made through the glass. Also a quaint little gift shop.

Always enjoy stopping by the Blue Bell plant in Sylacauga! My “regular” is a scoop of Pralines & Cream with one of Butter Pecan. The taste is worth every calorie 😉
