.sweetwater TA travel center gets a five out of five review. This truck stop has a really cool snake in the front of the store and some entertaining games. Also theres some great food here. With pizza hut express and Popeyes and the diner plenty of seating great atmosphere background music and I even purchased some winning lottery tickets here. I also purchased some Lucas hub oil seal and plugs and performed some routine maintenance on my truck. Sweetwater TA five out of five. Also the staff goes above and beyond with customer service the lady in the tire shop has extraordinary multitasking skills she was typing reports helping me and another customer and made a phone call to assist the other customer took care of all our needs without skipping a beat thank you. Tried to get gas the cashier refused she said there was a shift change and said if wanted gas I had to wait 15 min. She stated the reason being there was a shift change. I’ve worked as a cashier and never took 15 min to change out the till 🙄. But luckily the Loves gas station was across the street. Whoever owns this business should make sure their employees are more sufficient. Because today they lost my business and after a while several others. All that money lost adds up just food for thought.

Great Place to Fill up. Covered Gas Pumps. Family Restrauant inside. Clean restrooms, staff friendly and welcomes you with smiles. You can even do some Gift shopping in the store.

Wow what a great place to eat! Were stopped here to gas up and get a quick bite to eat on the way home four hours to go... What a treat! Kayla or waitress was amazing, sweet, thoughtful and kind to complete strangers (us lol). Deal southern comfort food with great authentic flavors and service to match. There was nothing we ate on the all you can eat Sunday bar that we disliked. I want even really hungry but tried many different dishes and loved them all from fried chicken to every dessert on the counter. This is a must stop!! Enjoy 😍

The Girl at the register was great. But wasnt great was the manager yelling at her as Im buying my stuff. Come on. Its 1 pm and Im trying to buy my stuff and this woman manager is being rude. Customer service. Learn that. Your the manager. We do not want to hear you. Customer service.

Not much room throughout the store but a lot to choose from in souvenir type stuff. The rattlesnake souvenir stuff was really cool!!!! 😎 Very clean bathrooms too!!

They had 2 fuel spills at the gas pumps while I was there and I was one of them. There pumps were malfunctioning and not turning off automatically. There was a guy out there with and water hose and bucket mopping the other spill. It was a goat rope and I got out of there as fast as I could. Seemed pretty dangerous.

Extra (and QUIET 😴) truck parking in the far back, on the edge of the West Texas Mesquite shrubs/trees! Right on!! 👏🤠😎

Everytime I stop here the showers are super clean! The same guy is super friendly and helpful. He does a great job cleaning and all of us truck drivers appreciate that! Thank You, Thank You!

Drivers if your looking for a crummy place to shower well this is it. You’ll get your face all nice and lathered up with soap just for the water to stop and come back 5 minutes later.

Dear TA ! Please take some of the thousands of dollars I spend on fuel at your Truck Stops and At least replace the shower head so they do something more than drip water out of them. Nasty -Gross-Disgusting!! I bet those showers were really nice in 1960! DUMP’

Really bad food at restaurant. Burnt burger. Sent it back.. 2nd burger dry, overcooked..@ 12-13$ a plate. Its actually worse than any fast food Burger except maybe McDonalds. Staff is lukewarm at best service wise. Pretty sure they want to be somewhere else. Smiles cost extra apparently.

Great stop for gas, snacks and restroom break. Restrooms are always clean. Store is stocked and clean. Friendly cashiers. Variety of novelty items too.

Smallish shower rooms as is common with older truck stops. Also a wider assortment of weird tourist trinket junk than youd normally see at any chain brand truck stop. Clean and plenty of parking.

Mechanic shop is the best managed out of the TAs ive been to.

Typically the holiday food is really good. The wife & I stop in every year because we are usually OTR. This year the food was awful and when my wife was asked how everything was and she told the lady cashing us out - she got an attitude with my wife. This years food wasnt worth the $30+ it cost us.

Shop is great. Staff are friendly and fast.

I try to make a oil change for my truck, everything was fine till I told them I have my oil and then they told me that they don’t have filters.

My husband sat AT THE COUNTER FOR DINE IN AND WAS IGNORED!! When he got tired of waiting, he got up to walk out, that’s when he was asked if they could help him! THESE LONG HAUL TRUCK DRIVERS WORK LONG DAYS, DRIVE HUNDREDS OF MILES PER DAY AND AWAY FROM HOME FOR WEEKS! Without them our supply chains would halt! THE LEAST THE DINING ROOM STAFF COULD DO IS “THEIR JOBS”! This treatment is downright disgusting!!! 1/14/2021 7:30-8pm TA Sweetwater, TX - Dining Room Staff Is HORRIBLE!!

This is normally a good place to stop on the road. Unfortunately, there was no sign requiring masks to be worn. This resulted in several customers entering the building without state-mandated protection. Further, customers were still served out and checked out despite wearing masks.

Great place to stop, stretch your legs, fuel up, get something to eat or a souvenir. Very clean restrooms. Very friendly staff. Cant wait to take another road trip and stop here again.

Truck stop as a whole was fine. An old TA but fairly clean, staff fairly friendly. My issue was with the breakfast buffett.NO BACON! Who every heard of a breakfast buffet worth no bacon on it? Of course there wasnt much else on it either so I didnt get it. But pay extra for bacon? Management, you need to rethink this decision. Also I had the taco buffet on Saturday. Youre in Texas. Everyone knows how to cook ground beef. The pieces yes pieces of ground beef were in chunks the size of gold balls. Whoever is managing the kitchen needs to get a clue, or get replaced with someone that wants to cater to the customers and have pride in what the restaurant has to offer.

I have stopped at many TA Travel Centers around the country and this one was on par with the others. I dropped in around 2 am to find a clean restroom and snacks. Im sure Ill be back again some time soon.

Showers need updated bad. Toilet seat so small. Upstairs smells like raw sewage. Tile in shower full of mold. Just needs to be updated a little.

Considering its a Truck Stop, they have one of the best breakfasts in town....its clean, got good food and friendly waitstaff. Its reasonably priced, and has a Popeyes Chicken in with it, also. They are quite good, as well. Plenty of gas pumps and parking spaces.

This service center was extremely clean. Inside and outside.Most appreciated however was that I accidentally left my wallet in the ladies restroom and I was fortunate that someone handed it in. I did not notice that I’d left it there until I got home .... a mere 4 hrs away..... I called the center and was able to pay to have them ship it to me overnight. They were helpful, polite and efficient. I truly appreciate that I have my wallet back completely in tact.

Other than being falsely accused of stealing another drivers phone, and him having the cops crawl the truck stop because he cant be responsible for his belongings this place is alright. Its an old school TA with a 24 hour restaurant thats not too bad. Hot upstairs for doing laundry and showers. If you have to do a 34 hours reset its okay. For a 10 hour break its perfect.

Gas pumps are rigged. Ok I drive for Door Dash. So i know what $20 puts in my tank. At this rip off place maybe an eighth of a tank. Same price I usually pay that usually gives me a half a tank, barely moved the gas gauge. Place is a rip off!!! Im a senior and traveling because of family emergency and I get price gouged.

Well 12:55 pm 2/13/20 lady working fuel desk and shower attended lifting envelope s to light and doing everything they can to peak inside them. Tells me all I need to know about them. Oh forgot to say it was other employees CHECKS ....For the people doing that u are a POS

Decent parking. The restaurant really maintains the lunch buffet to keep it appetizing and replenished; ribs, okra, peach cobbler, cornbread and banana pudding was very good. Showers should be cleaner; I know it wasn‘t desinfected properly when I find hair and soap from the previous person still in the shower!

According to the employees, face coverings or masks aren’t mandatory in the store. Last I heard, it was a state wide thing. Go spend your money somewhere else, not safe at all.I wasn’t aware that Sweetwater was immune to Covid 19.

Made a run with my husband on his truck. We stopped and ate at the restaurant. They had an all-you-can-eat buffet. I must say that I really enjoyed it. The salad bar had everything you could want on it. The day that we were there they had BBQ ribs and catfish. I ate the ribs. It all looked great. I didnt eat everything, but for dessert had peach cobbler and a blueberry muffin. I thought everything tasted great and they were almost out of homemade ranch dressing, but when we mentioned it, they filled it back up. I noticed someone else on this post had written a bad comment, but our plates and silverware were all clean and the people there were all top notch and very friendly. We had a very nice waitress and she stopped by often to make sure everything was good. I have no bad complaints. It all tasted great and I would go back tomorrow if I was headed in that direction again. I think they all deserve a thumbs up for the great job they did.

We went in to get a PM done and replace 1 air bag. It took 5 hours to do the pm and over an hour to do 1 air bag!!! The place we normally take it to do a PM takes 45 minutes to an hour! This is unacceptable, it ran out all our hours on the e-log after we told them we were in a hurry! The work was done correctly just took way too much time! BC & C Enterprises LLC Hahira, Georgia

Terrible food. Soup obviously canned. Ordered eggs soft scrambled... Not. Ordered hash browns crispy... Were not. Bacon was good. Biscuit was a dry rock. No butter. I asked the sweet waitress if they had been cooked today (it was 9 pm)... She had no idea. Pie was poor. Pathetic

Clean showers, (there is a bit of a sewer smell from the drains but it is an old building) food in restaurant was good, server was friendly. Nice to have a truck stop /travel center that has a sit down meal open all night for us few drivers that do drive nights.

Only stop is you HAVE to. And if they havent fixed it already, the outside pumps do NOT take cards. Just go inside for you inconvenience.

Great place to stop while traveling. A little difficulty getting in and out of parking lot due to truck traffic, but is to be expected due to it being a truck stop. But, was able to get my dogs out and let them stretch their legs. We had a positive experience and are happy.

Paying cash for gas - have 50 and filled up. Tried to get change and was told money had already been returned. My 73 year old Aunt was very upset she was treated like a criminal. We understand that the video had to be reviewed because the world we live in. From the first moment on she was treated badly. The mistake wasn’t the problem it was the rudeness and instead of an apology she got “you got your money didn’t you” So I would say a class on good manners would come in handy or a little 101 in customer service.

Clean!!! Had restaurant side and just about anything else you would need. The one in Sweetwater has a stuffed Albino Rattlesnake suppose to be the largest one ever found!!! Pretty Big!!! Alot of Indian things to look at.

Good amount of parking but small for a “TA”.Showers small and smell. The water runs hot then changes to warm/cold while taking a shower. I don’t think they clean the showers just replace the towels if used.Restaurant surprisingly okay.The staff seem nice. Although they rather complete their conversation before assisting you. Items in the store extremely overpriced but hey I guess they have to make money someway. Overall not the worst place I’ve been to but also not the greatest. It’s doable.

Easy on-and-off from I-20.Clean, good-enough food, friendly staff. The odd-shaped parking lot may mean you are in for a hike if you hit a busy time. Recommended.

Mixed review. Good parking. Shower was hot with good pressure and clean enough. Food was average. Restaurant service was bad. Waitress had no awareness. Didnt see me in her section and another waitress got my drink and informed me she was going to talk to the supervisor. Service improved slightly. When done I got up to leave and spilled a full glass of tea on my phone, table, laptop, and me. Everyone in the section noticed. The waitress who was IN the section at her desk was fiddling on her computer and never even looked up or offered a rag or napkins.

Easy access off the highway. Food, drinks.they even have a gameroom upstairs.

Family restaurant food was pretty good. They cooked my wifes steak to perfection. Waitress was upfront and honest about what we could expect. Service was great. Better than expected!

My food tasted great, waitresses were awesome and every employee I crossed paths with had a great attitude. All of that combined with clean restrooms! Ill definitely stop by again if I have the chance!

Had the buffet, really good. Only thing I dont like is when you check out is when the cashier, says out loud, how much do you want your tip to be. Its no ones business, give me my receipt and Ill write it in.

This is a fairly decent stop. Their restaurant has a good food and salad bar. Good staff, I have eaten here many times.

This place is so freaking friendly and food well cook with flavor

Right off the freeway so it super easy to get to. It has a 24 hour buffet that is connected to it as well food is always fresh and pipping hot!! Every time me and my family has been in there the service has been spectacular the waitresses really and truly go out of their way to make sure the kids are always happy. If they see ur drinks are getting low they never ask if u would like another, they just bring them instead. The cooks will always go the extra mile to make sure the food has plenty of season,its not just a buffet and drinks its truly an experience!!!!

My family and I was traveling from New Mexico after my grandmother funeral. When we decided to stop and use their bathroom and I looking at some dream catcher souvenir for $3.99. I put them back and went to use the restroom. When I was walking out the door I was falsely accused of stealing an orange one by an associate named Manny and the manager Yolanda. I will never do busy there with this company because of this experience. I’ve travel back and fourth for SC to NM for over 20 years and I’ve never heard such a horrible experience with any other gas stations when we stop. I’m will share this with all the customers that visit T&A Travel Station in Sweetwater Tx store number 113. The employees have lack of train and poor customer service. Yolanda also snatched the paper from my brother when he was trying to write down the customer service number to report this experience. I feel very embarrassed and humiliated about this whole experience.

The smell of cigarettes was just horrible. People openly smoking inside a building was u expected.

I am writing a review on basically how disgusting the womens restroom is. The Ladies room!!?..Come on, And not one soul in the entire store does a thorough check regularly?. This is very unsanitary and to be serving food in there. This should make women really embarrassed and I hope you are more clean at home being a woman. I could understand a males restroom but Women?? Tissue and Sanitary goods all on the floor. Im Grossed beyond belief.

Went in and sat down at the family restaurant sometime between 5:15pm-6pm on Dec 27 to order something to eat. 2 waitresses were standing behind the counter talking to each other....one of which saw me sit down and just kept looking at me. No greeting, no grabbing a menu to come over, NOTHING!!! After about 5 minutes of the one waitress just looking at me, I got up to leave. LOL, still no acknowledgement. Im a truck driver and was even in my uniform. Arent truckers their main customers?!? Dont want to say it was racial, but seems rather suspect to me. The other customers seem to have been served. Go figure🤷🏽‍♀️
