It’s a wonderful music school, teachers are knowledgeable and Mrs. Giles is an excellent host. However, the front desk young lady Myrian is unfriendly, walking around in an aggressive manner, looking too bossy with attitude, difficult to approach being not the ideal person to be at front desk.

Such a great music school for kids and adults. I recently started working here and have been so impressed with the school, the owners and teachers!

My son has been enrolled in music lessons for several months and enjoys his new hobby very much. The school has great flexibility with availability to fit any schedule. The staff and teachers are friendly and professional. My favorite part is that parents get a zoom link to attend the classes virtually. His teacher recently helped us with making a purchasing decision on his instrument which was most helpful. The teacher does an excellent job balancing a sense of focus and need for creative expression with my son and gives lots of feedback. I play several instruments myself, with decades of experience, and I highly recommend Lawrenceville Suwanee School of Music and also Mr. Matthew as a drum instructor.

It seems to be a good music school, but the service is unfriendly, the people working the desk made my 4 year old cry, and she was laughing at how he was crying. she did not want to attend to me because she did not have time for me. and I saw how she attended to other pardons. I do not recommend this place.

I’m very satisfied with the service and care. My daughter had her first lesson today and I was pleasantly moved to see how caring the environment was. The staff showed that they put thought and effort in protecting the students during the COVID-19 situation without being scary or pushy. I was really comfortable in the office. I saw staff wearing face masks and the owner took her time to educate me on her commitment to keeping everyone safe and healthy. I am a loyal customer.

I really enjoy taking music lessons at this school. The staff is always helpful and friendly. I am an adult student who started from scratch at the beginning of the year, and I am now working on full songs. My teacher, Mr. Steuart, is very patient, professional and great to work with. I am very happy I picked this school for my music learning goals.

This school has been so flexible during the COVID19, and offered numerous bonus classes that varies in activities to keep my daughter busy. Plus, my daughter loves her teacher. I have been scattered during these crazy times and the school has been touching base to ensure I have what I need and that my daughter stays on track. Highly-recommend!

Julie was very professional and on point with the questions asked. What got me more interested, she did not, at any time, tried to convey what was being asked. She listened and answered respectively. I honestly believe I would be on a road to great discovery and success!!

LSSM is truly focused on positively reinforcing the learning and love of music no matter the chosen instrument. My granddaughter is happily learning piano at age 6 and looks forward to composing her own songs one day. She loves her teacher Ms. Hall.

So far so good. The person who signed us up asked about my childs personality and matched him with a teacher that feels like a great fit. Our experience when attending his first lesson was inviting and we were made to feel at home. Im looking forward to my sons journey pursuing piano at LSSM.

Ive been taking piano lessons here for a few months now. My son has also been doing their Little Mozart Class. Everyone is super friendly and the lessons have been a lot of fun. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to learn an instrument whether you are an adult or child.

It has been few months since my 8 year old daughter joined the music school. And every lesson has been a great success! Very friendly staffs and great instructors/teachers. Especially our drums instructor, Mr. Andrew! Had a great time watching them as they jam together. ^_^Cant wait to see how awesome my future drummer girl is going to be!!!

I have been taking piano lessons for going on 4 years. I have enjoyed all of the recitals especially in the community. However, the biggest recital experience Ive had so far was playing at Carnegie Hall last October. I really enjoy playing for lots of different people. Also, I like my teacher Mrs. Sivert she encourages me a lot and helps me understand in simple small bits the hard things about a piece.

A++ Tay has been amazing for drum lessons with my 10 year old son. He is adjusts each lesson to what he needs and assesses his progress each visit. Highly recommend!

My 10 year old daughter attended the week long Music and Arts camp this past June. She had such a great time and still talks about it. She loved experiencing the variety of fine arts offered. Learning about the drums quickly became her favorite instrument. Then later in the week she enjoyed the drawing and painting. The classes were well organized and I highly recommend the Lawrenceville-Suwanee School of Music and Arts. Miss Valencia is great, and your kids will love it.

All of the music teachers are qualified and truly care about the impact they make in students lives. I have been with Mrs. Giles for over 10 years now, and I would not trade her instruction for anyone elses. She is no doubt one of the most charismatic and loving piano teachers out there. Throughout the past 6 years or so, she has been expanding her business through the foundation of this music studio. For the most part, it has been a great success, and this music studio is one of the few places that opts to start teaching children at such an early age. There are also several events each year that students are encouraged to participate in; last year we visited the extended care center at the hospital during Christmas season and played holiday tunes for the residents there. There is also a fair share of recitals and performance evaluations or festivals to take part in. It has been a very gratifying experience being a part of this music studio, and I definitely recommend checking it out if you are interested.

After touring another music school nearby, we felt like it was a five star experience in customer service with LSSM. From the very start, after enquiring on the phone at the PIB location, and when we went to the wrong location, Carrington got on a phone call and touched base with McKenna with whom we had spoken and had all of my daughter’s information ready at the snap of a finger. They guided us without wasting time, and when we finally went into the location we were interested in, we were floored ! This is a huge school with plenty of instruments and tons of positive reinforcement. Our kid is a little advanced in piano and needed the right teacher. She is taking lessons now with Asia. She loves her new instructor. She’s eager to perform at the upcoming recital and we are eager to sign up for Carnegie Hall next year ... and we might start her off on another instrument :)

First off i want to say that V.C Giles Music Studio is the best place to take music lessons of any kind. I have been with the studio for 11 years and now that I am moving on to college, Ive realized how impact-full this studio has been on my life. The amount of patience and encouragement all the teachers here produce is remarkable. Ive been blessed to know and grow up with a studio as amazing as this one.

LSSM is awesome. We are always greeted at the door and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Our drum teacher, Tay, is patient and a true gem to LSSM. I also love the decor. This place is simply amazing.

I really enjoyed being a student here! I learned so much and I quickly advanced in my piano. I learned about theory, technique, and through playing games. I loved the fun and motivating environment. My piano teacher was awesome and always motivated me to do my best and when I struggled she was there to help and encourage me.

The best place for us is the good teacher and the child is the happiest.

I came to this music school not knowing how to read even a single piano music note. Its now 3 months and I am reading and understanding a whole lot of piano music. My teacher has an amazing reputation. Im so fortunate to be in this school. Ms Giles is very graceful and that goes with her music talent.The most interesting this is that we the students are of all ages; from todlers to older adults. The classes are non intimidating. The fees is also afordable. I look forward to be a fluent piano player soon. Thanks for being my teacher Ms Barbara. You Rock!!!

I vacillated for a while on whether or not to leave the feedback for this place that is warranted, but after months of mulling it over, I know it is the right thing to do. This is where my child learned how to play the violin. Initially, the teacher wanted me to be present during the lesson in order to guide her and be involved with her learning how to play it, despite my complete lack of knowledge or experience with it. That proved only to hold her back, since I do not know how to play the instrument and despite the teacher showing me what to correct my child on. I made it clear with the teacher that my involvement was only holding her back and that my obligation was ensuring she practiced, getting her to the lessons on time, and paying for the lessons. Once I stepped out of it and made it between her and her teacher, my child flourished in playing. When she was given her song to play for the recital, she was barely moving through the book and progressing forward. She practiced Twinkle Twinkle Little Star from June-July until the recital in December, and she hardly worked on much more than that. That was issue #1. Issue #2 was I let the office receptionist know in advance that we would be gone for 2 different weeks during the summer for family vacations, and she assured me that my child would be able to make up those lessons, privately. Every time I brought making those 2 lessons up, I was assured they would be made up by such-n-such a time. I figured once the summer break was over with and school started back up, making up those lessons would be a great challenge since the teachers schedule was full, and there was a student right after mine. I had been told they would be made up before the December recital. I realized in early December, 5 months after the fact and bringing it up at least twice, that wasnt happening. I called and spoke with the owner who seemed to be very caught off-guard and nervous about this. She insisted on meeting with me in person, so I did. When we met, instead of being apologetic for the way things had gone and simply correcting them, she was defensive. and the meeting lasted 45 minutes, and I was still confused. She defended the parental involvement approach that I suspect comes from her (and not the teachers), when I had not even brought that up with her. She agreed to allow my child to have her lessons extended 15 minutes to make up one of the lessons and she would have a group lesson to make up the other lesson. Apparently, the group lesson was their make-up policy that I had signed off on, but I did not have a copy for myself to refer to, which would have rectified all of that. I have no idea why the receptionist did not just set my child up for the group make-up to begin with, but that was never mentioned at all by her. The group make-up ended up being canceled due to weather, and no make-up day for that make-up day was issued by the studio. The teacher was out sick for another lesson, and their solution was to give her a lesson 2 days after her regularly assigned lesson, which is useless since there would be very little progression in skills in practicing for 1 day in between. All of this could have easily been rectified from the very beginning with the summer make-up lessons by crediting our account OR informing us about the group make-up lesson, which obviously did not happen. Between the lack of make-ups and the confusion about it when there should have been none, the defensive, hostile attitude of the owner in place of simply making things right and the nagging feeling that they were holding my child back led me to pull her from here, and it was the right thing to do, because she has flourished and progressed. She is eligible and is strongly encouraged to play in the orchestra. For her last recital, she practiced the song for 2 weeks, and she did a fantastic job. The owner did refund us for all of the missed lessons, but it is a shame she just did not do that to begin with. The teacher here was good, and I strongly suspect she was simply following the protocol of the owner.

Pure joy best describes my sons experience at Lawrenceville -Suwanee School of Music. He remembers when he attended the Little Mozart classes. He would praticed at home on his keyboard and felt like he was a professional. The encouraging words, high fives, stickers, and pizza parties his teachers gave him were super incentives which made him try that much more. Hes gotten a piano of his own now. On top of it are all his ribbons, plaques, and trophies that he proudly display. He would over hear the older students play and say to himself, I can do that. Hes currently 10 years old. Music to him is a welcome challenge. Yes, his experience with music was and still is joy. He gives thanks to the wonderful team of teachers at Lawrenceville - Suwanee School of Music.

I live in Norcross and commute to Suwanee weekly for piano. There are piano teachers in my area, but Mrs. Giles is not only a piano teacher, but on my support team. I know she wants my son to thrive and grow in the same ways I do. Like the support of family. She is firm, yet loving with my strong willed child and can definitely challenge and teach gifted students as well. She has not only taught him music theory, but encouraged his love of music through assisting him in developing his first composition.The studio hosts a beautiful recital at Collins Hill High School each year. I continue to be impressed with the talent of the students and encouraged through their performance accomplishments. The studio also hosts a quarterly optional performance class, where each student plays a selected piece for their peers. I also really appreciate that each student is given a yearly review, so you may track their growth and progress.I homeschool, so I appreciate that Mrs. Giles makes herself available during the day, so I do not have to give up another evening. She has additional rooms, so your children can read or do school work while you wait.I feel certain if you let her know your expectations, she will not only meet, but exceed your needs. She is firm, loving, consistent, talented and faith filled.I highly recommend Mrs. Giles and V. C. Giles Music studio in Suwanee.
