If all you are looking for is a smog these guys are great. But for any repairs dont waste your time. They changed out my struts on my truck and couldnt loosen the inner tie rods or the outer tie rods.. Made me purchase new outer tyrods because they had to cut off the old ones. The took the truck home and I personally was able to If break them loose and avoid having to spend $600 on new parts. I didnt want to waste my time going back to them to have this warranty coverage.

Rafael Caro at Advanced Emissions Specialist is where I go for my cars certification. Theyre professional and trusted. Unfortunately, with Covid AES has fewer employees and its difficult to be seen now in a timely manner for other mechanical repairs.

I bought a 03 Pathfinder for my teenaged daughter. It had an oil leak so I brought it to AES because they had good reviews. After leaving the vehicle with them they called me advising multiple things they recommended on top of oil leak problem, leak in the Valve cover gasket. I told them to just fix the oil leak for now since the vehicle already ran perfectly fine. Over the phone the guy tells me $250 for the repair I told him that was fine and to do the repair. Got a call 2 days later and now my price was $3000. They decided to do the steering gear, shocks, struts, rack and pinion among other things. While talking to them over the phone, the guy tells me he originally told me $2500 not $250. They already did the majority of the work so I ended up paying the $3000.These guys screwed me over and when asked about the owner, I never got a call back. Too late now. Absolutly would not recommend.

Called, and made an appointment. I arrived about 5 minutes early so i could fill out ppwk. My truck was taken into the shop within 5 minutes of my arrival, and returned to me about 30 minutes after i got there.No pressured sales tactics, or add ons were pushed on me. Will definitely start using this place in the future.

My car was having all sorts of issues with vibrations when it came to braking for a very long time. I had my brakes checked and fixed prior to coming to AES. When I took my car in I decided to just get everything done all at once and I am certainly glad that I did! They did such an amazing job on my car that it no longer had any issues with vibrating at faster speeds. My car has not felt this smooth in such a long time!!! They even spent time after they were closed to finish up all that I had to get done on the car. It was a lot. They have great customer service. I am so happy with all that they fixed. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

Im a mechanic. I do almost all my own work on my car. I always feel a little helpless and not under my control when I have to trust a shop to my vehicle and hope for fair treatment.I went back to AES the second time for a smog check after they treated me fairly on a previous vehicle. This most recent vehicle had a check engine light on. I explained what I knew was going on with the car and that I didnt have any money to waste in my current situation.They suggested I replace the catalytic converter. I did so, and came back to them and the car passed smog.Their service was prompt and courteous.These guys arent crooks out to take advantage of you.

AES is a complete auto repair station that also does SMOG checks. Their certified mechanics were very professional and explained in detail what was wrong with my car. Highly recommend AES for all your AUTO NEEDS

Tried giving these guys the benefit of the doubt but after talking with Brandon who doubled down on his stance of “better to replace everything”, confirmed this shop decided it would be at the customers interest to replace a whole fuel pump/module etc. For over $1300 when the issue was a $20 fuse and relay. Not to mention the parts they are charging for were 2x and 3x the price of retail. People please do your homework when going to mechanics shops.EDIT: ok now all of a sudden after I leave a bad review these guys know exactly what was going on with my truck. Not the case when they were pushing to replace several parts. These guys literally told me they did not know what was causing the truck not to send fuel. And assuming that I use cheap parts??

The employees are so kind and ready to greet you as you walk through the door. The are honest and their prices are fair and reasonable. They get the work done quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend them and have been taking our Mercedes to them for years.

Great staff and service. Came in last minute for an oil change and Rafael and his crew got me in and out in under 40 minutes. During the safety inspection they noticed my brakes being worn and recommended that I replace them. I was able to schedule an appointment and will be bringing my vehicle back to them for all future service.

I am so happy with the exceptional service and professionalism from AES. The moment I arrived I could tell this was a group of happy employees. Since I brought my vehicle in to be checked for an a/c problem they expedited the conclusion and explained fully with great patience and made sure that no pressure was given. Just do love the fact I knew I was in good hands and will give high marks to all of the people there so glad to accommodate . Yes they really are a fine group of specialists and made the day for me. I took my 2004 Toyota Corolla in for a smog and the check engine light was on. They were very honest and told me that it would not pass with the light on (when they could have don’t the smog and charged me for it knowing it would fail) instead they informed me that they needed to do an inspection to see the reason behind it so we could fix it and get it to pass a smog. The staff was friendly and honest. They took cafe of the problem really fast and got my car to pass smog. 10/10 highly recommend.

Rafael and all the people that work at AES Smog are awesome. I had them change my oil and look at some electrical problems my car was having. I had taken it to the dealership where I had originally purchased it and they wanted a boat load of money. AES saved me about $250.00 all in all. I am super happy with the results. I referred them to everybody at my work. I know a few other people who have gotten smog checks and work done there as well who had a similar experience. They are awesome. I will continue to use them for all my automotive needs. :)

DO NOT let these people touch your car. I went for a smog check and decided to get a tune up too. They left hoses loose which caused my car to overheat. I had to go back 4 times to resolve to problems they created. Fast forward 2 months my car overheats again, I took it to the dealer and find out the hoses are not attached right, leaking and are the wrong hoses and wrong clamps for my car. Hopefully the overheating hasnt damaged my car. They are nice guys but have NO idea what theyre doing.

Stay away!!!! My elderly father took my truck in to get it smoked and they didnt tel him that if the check engine light was on, it would fail the smog test even if there was nothing wrong with the car. So...51.75 later and they tell him it failed. Went to another smog check. They explained about the light. Fixed the light, passed.

Went in today to have my car smogged, first time going here, My car is an older car and Ive owned it for about 5 years now and this is the 3rd time i have had to get it smogged. I have never had any problems with it passing, So I give him the car and waited for them to smog it, after about 45 mins he tells me everything looks good, passed everything but my catalytic converter isnt the cat recommended for my car so hes going to have to fail it and I need to buy a new cat. I told the guy its the same cat thats been on the car the last two times it was smogged and passed no problems... Just so happens this is a repair shop and they can sell me a new cat. After i left i decided to take it to a smog check only place and passed no problem. Did i mention he still charged me $65 to fail me.... PS thanks for taking my money and wasting my time! Apparently 3 other smog shops had no problem with my cat.
