This place can get very busy. We got there by 9 AM, but it started filling up fast on Saturday mornings.The food was average. I ordered the sausage and cheese sandwich...expecting it to be a sausage biscuit. Nope. It was 2 sausage links cut butterfly on a sesame bun. Im glad I ordered pancakes, because I did not enjoy the sandwich.Service was good, but could have been better. Again, it got busy and our server was more focused on new guests...which I totally understand as a former server. But in that case, I feel that other servers should have jumped in knowing their section partner had a large party.This place was just okay. Not something worth coming out of my way for. It was a cheap breakfast though, which is a plus!
Really awesome food here. We had the gyro plate and the meat was cooked perfectly. The pita was good as was the rest of the food. Just enough food to satisfy, but not so much as to stuff us.Wait staff was exceptional and management was great. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant and we WILL be returning for more meals and dessert.
Fabulous food and service, as has always been the case here. Eggs, toast, and fries... Patty melt with fries... Liver with mashed potatoes and green beans. One of the best places we have found for getting beef liver!We didnt get dessert this time, but have liked all the different cakes we have tried here.
Amazing little gem! Always been homesick with the Diner industry due to the Fact I am from NJ. The food is spot on delicious with full satisfaction. Especially when you had no idea what you wanted to eat. A lot of people normally go to the Diner after a few drinks but this one is smart enough to have it here.If I have to chose Webb Gin or Sugar Hill. No questions asked, I want to go here.Unfortunately like all places outside of NJ its not 24/7 and Breakfast is available at a certain time frame. But the customer service and the food makes the experience worth the Trip.
The Diner at Sugar Hill is a hidden gem. Their menu has a lot of variety, but everything weve had is perfectly cooked. Prices are very reasonable, and the service is exceptional. And their cakes are delicious!
I went in for a quick lunch one day. I was doing work in the area and had never visited here before, but was hoping for a little comfort food rather than fast food. The staff was extra friendly and very attentive. The food didnt look that appealing (seemed a bit like institutional food) but I actually tasted really good. All things considered, I was very happy with my meal and will likely return the next time Im working in that area.
I have been here before 7-8 times and it’s always good. But today, I went with my wife and son. They got my sons order wrong and my order wrong. I understand that part. I get people make mistakes, no issue there. They were happy to fix it. Where it got bad was when they bring out my order fix, on a dirty used plate... that I can’t get past. I will not be going back to a restaurant that brings out food on a dirty plate. This is unacceptable.
If you’re in search of food like Mama used to make, look no further. The Diner takes comfort food to a whole ‘nother level. I was swooning as I took a bite out of their 5 layer chocolate cake which was eerily (in a beautiful way) reminiscent of my dear sweet Mama’s legendary Chi Chocolate Cake made by Donie. Yes, Lord!!! I felt my Mama’s presence in every bite.
Exceptional service and food! Weve never met the chefs but the food taste very experienced if you know what I mean like they seriously know what they are doing. And waiter waitress staff are great. No. 1 in town ( sorry other great restaurants)
The food here was absolutely delicious. Definitely 5 star worthy. I wish I could say the same about the service. We had to ask 3 times for our daughter to get her drink, got charged for something we didn’t ask for, and the o my time the waitress came back after we got our food was when we were almost done eating and had been out of drinks for a good minute. When my husband told her thank you after refilling his glass she completely ignored him. Didn’t even acknowledge him.The manager we spoke with did at least do everything she could to apologize for our experience, which is the main reason we will go back to give them another chance.

Just tried ordering scrambled eggs and bacon for our 5 year old daughter. Shockingly we were told breakfast stops at 4pm. What kind of diner stops serving breakfast items while they are open?!? Rename the establishment, take diner out of the name. Its an OK restaurant, but not a true diner in my opinion.Update.... Just tried ordering one of the desserts thats in the display case. Was told its still frozen, not ready yet. Then why put it in the display case?Im starting to remember why we stopped coming here within a year of moving into the area (this weekend was our first time back in about 3-4 years).
Just had dinner here tonight for the first time and I was very impressed! The food was great and the service was fantastic! Even though they were busy, and only had 2 servers on the floor, we never felt neglected or that we were not a top priority! My one regret was I didn’t see a name tag on our server and I did not catch her name! But she really was great! Very soft spoken but fabulous nonetheless lol! I will definitely come back!
The Diner is an older building but very clean. I was very pleased at how clean the bathroom was. The food offered breakfast, lunch, and dinner options all day. I chose the breakfast and enjoyed a very large Greek Florentine omelet with home fries. Others in my group had Cajun Jambalaya Grits, Pancakes, and other menu items all served with large portion sizes and very tasy food for all. The Servers were incredibly friendly and prompt. Price was reasonable for 7 people. Overall a great experience with good food in a comfortable setting. Would recommend and go again.

Pulled in here as I passed to try it. Nothing special; coffee seemed like it had been sitting for a while, was warm but you could tell it wasnt fresh coffee. Food was ok to me, but wife said it didnt seem like the food was prepared fresh (like the homes fries had been sitting waiting to me used). The place was way dark for 10 Am. Thought I had found a good place but probably wont go back since it didnt make an impression on us
Wow, this place is the bees knees. The menu is stuffed with comfort food, sammies, mouth watering entrees, and plenty of desserts to satisfy your sweet tooth. Service was fast and supper was delivered hot and delicious. The server was welcoming, funny, and kind. I will be going back. I suggest you try it out.

I had the Eggs Benedict with grits, and it was okay! The Hollandaise sauce could be better. The cannoli cheesecake was amazing!

Not too many people on a Friday night in a good way. Excellent food and its expensive but cake was amazing. They close early on a Friday so keep that in mind when planning to go there.
We went here 2 weeks ago and really enjoyed it. We were in the area again tonight (40 minutes from our home) and walked in at 8:00pm to be told that they had closed the kitchen because they close in half an hour. On a Friday night. Clearly, they do not want business. If the hours are marked as 8:30, it is reasonable to expect to be able to walk in half an hour before and be seated and fed. Thankfully, there are plenty of other restaurants in the area that do recognize that many people eat after 8pm on a Friday night. We may or may not be back if they decide to operate normal business hours.

I would give them a negative number... like a - 1.Sign said they were open; however, we were turned away 35 minutes before their closing time of 830 p.m.
I eat the Cajun chicken and shrimp pasta it was excellent and the everything was very nice. I was there visiting this area from international island living felt like home
Just walked out without having dinner after ordering and waiting an hour for food. 6 tables of people and they literally mixed up orders.
Great food, lots of it, and at a great price. We had a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich with a side of home fries and some banana pecan pancakes. All of it was awsome. We got there about 8:30 on a Sunday morning and walked right in. By 9:30 there was a wait.
Everything tasted good. The salad was not big enough for a meal by itself. The cheesecake was awesome!

Great menu selections from all around the world. I love the steak and the gyros. And the desserts...so large and such a selection. One piece of cake is enough to share. The staff are friendly and fun it is a great place for the whole family or just a nice couples evening.

Wow. 50 minute drive from our home, and wed gladly do it again. Our server, Kristie, was fantastic. Our seafood platters (one broiled, one fried) were beyond delicious. We had baklava cheesecake for dessert, and were already hungry for more of it all.
Decent place, had a sausage,bacon and Swiss omelet. No bacon in the omelet, plenty of sausage and Swiss but was extremely overcooked, eggs are meant to be light, fluffy and delightful, not brown and hard. Potatoes were real potatoes which is great but were not browned or seasoned. The omelet was large but sometimes size doesnt matter!! Turn down your flat top or pan temperature and be patient with your eggs and you will turn out a much better product. A great potatoe could bring in a lot of folks!
The floors and tables were sticky. The waiter was okay, she seemed like she had an attitude. My plate had some old food stuck there. All of the menus were old.The potatoes I had were cold, and they didnt look appetizing. They also didnt have any soap in the womens bathroom. Overall, I wouldnt recommend this place..
Steak had a lot of fat on it. The vegetables were not steamed enough (way to crunchy). The wings however, were better than Wing Stop!
It was ok. Masks by servers with under chin it not at all was disturbing. Steak was ok. Green beans oily. Carrot cake abismal... Grainy and not cake at all.

We had a party of 12 on this past Sunday afternoon. The average wait time at any restaurant was 2 hours. We called The Diner at Sugar Hill and within 15 minutes, they had a table set up to accomodate our party. We had a great server and the food was fantastic!
We ordered Mothers Day breakfast to go for 10 people. It was fantastic! The food was ready on time. It was delicious, hot, and there was plenty of it. We will definitely be doing this again!
It was great. We had brunch and really when youre doing breakfast, they only thing you can do is screw it up more so than make it spectacular. The Diner did breakfast well. Eggs were perfectly cooked, pancakes were fluffy and the bacon was crispy as advertised on the menu. Overall, I definitely would visit The Diner again.
Had dinner here last night. They are renowned for their baby back ribs. We both ordered them. What we were served appeared to be beef ribs, definitely not baby back ribs.They were well prepared and covered with their signature sauce.The service was excellent as always.
Was a good, slow moving diner. Went on a slow rainy Saturday, and the place seemed to be busy throughout! Dishes are pretty standard, but the bakery display seemed much more interesting (monster cakes they looked delicious)! Played some overly family Christmas music and the ambiance was a bit dark for lunch.
Couldnt make a grilled cheese! It was dried toast with cheese slices between. No butter, and definitely not grilled.Large Greek salad had 1 dolma. Tasted good but for $14 with chicken added, not that great of a deal.Husband ordered gyro platter. Mediterranean grille in downtown Atlanta is waaay better, cheaper and bigger portions. Gyro meat wasnt very good.Waitress forgot my tea, offered a refill only once on the water, not on the soda. And our hopes for this place to redeem itself with a stellar looking slice of cake were completely deterred when the check was placed on our table without being asked if we wanted desert.So, $40 for a Greek salad, gyro platter, kids grilled cheese meal, a hot tea that underwhelmed... we wont be back.

Awesome experience! My mother ordered a burger and shes been craving a burger for like 3 weeks and this was the first place that was actually able to cook it medium rare everywhere else over cooks it amazing job!
They have the best waitress staff. These girls keep the place running smoothly - they deserve raises. The food and menu is awesome too. Their banana nut waffle was delicious.

I am going to base this review on my previous visit, because when we went there last night they were already closed. This was at 8:00pm. Their website said that they would be open until 10:00pm. Needles to say we were very disappointed. However on a previous visit the food was very good And the service was good. The menu was extensive and the desserts were fabulous. Overall it was good diner food, reminded me of home (New Jersey) where diners are everywhere. We will visit again when they are open.

We order at least one or two times a week from Sugar Hill Diner, usually its very good tonight on the other hand the meatloaf was dry and salty and no gravy, the sautéed veggies were raw and potatoes cold the ground sirloin the same. Not sure if a new cook was involved but also the young lady on the phone was short and not welcoming. Guess we will be spending our money else where. Check yourself Sugar Hill. Thank you

We visited for dinner based on our previous experiences in The Diner at Webb Gin but our experience was not quite close. We called in advance because they were closing in about 80 minutes and they said we were good to go. Party of 4, all customers since over 4 years of The Diner at Webb Gin. The place itself, the customer service, the food, nothing compared. There were some 5 tables with customers, all were there when we arrived. Service was not the fastest but we were ok with that as long as it wasnt going beyond normal. Finally, food arrived and my daughters food was a little disappointment, my sons salmon was a little burned on top thus overcooked and dry. My husband and I ordered the same and it was good. The overall experience was somewhat disappointing for all of us. Sadly, we will rather try a new place, an unknown one, than going back to this one.
This is a fantastic diner! Their menu is a bit lengthy but I have yet to try something and it be less than great. The food is very modestly priced, the service is always great, and oh my god please do yourself a favor and try their cakes!
Great food, prices and service. Everyone in our party loved their dish. One didnt realize that it had tomatoes, which they are allergic to. They quickly cooked up a new dish. I was super impressed!
My husband and I went for dinner and ordered 3 dishes, one to eat the next day for work. We got chicken parmigiana, oak fire grilled salmon, and moussaka, made from fresh meat sauce. I don’t think the dish was very fresh since on the first bite I got a piece of metal/ wire! I could have torn my intestines with this. I informed the tired waitress and asked her to take it but no manager even showed up to explain. Even when we entered, there was no one at the front to greet us. This is our first time eating here and it will be our last because the food here is not safe to eat.
Weve loved this place since 2010. Awesome french onion soup and oak fired pork chops. My biggest complaint is that uber eats and doordash is going to ruin this restaurant. 3 times now uber and door dash have failed to even deliver the food, and 1 time it was over 2 hours to get to front door. We threw that fool and food out the door. Both uber and door dash are ruining food businesses locally out of their greed and using weirdos, IE: unemployables everywhere else to deliver the food to customers. A great place to eat, but do not use uber eats or doordash.
Solid diner that we really like to visit for Thanksgiving or just a nice meal out. Its been a few years since weve last been and it looks like they take precautions for COVID fairly well. We had a nicely separated table. Kinda miss the bread and olive oil we used to get some years ago. The pork chops and salmon were great, as was the prime rib although it was a bit too chewy (ordered and got med rare). Overall a good experience.
I cant believe how good the quality of food is here vs the prices. Its delicious every time and always tastes like a very high end restaurant. Love this place.
