My mom and I were able to great service here whilst searching for a window air conditioning unit. The store is relatively small but well equipped! If you have a question, feel free to ask the salespersons. They are friendly and will see to your needs to the best of their ability.

Stopped here hoping to grab a basic tape measure without going to Walmart. 2 shelves of tools but no tape measure. The rest of the store is appliances. Disappointing. 2 stars only because staff was nice.

BE CAREFUL IF ORDERING ONLINE! I went to the sears website to order my refrigerator, it said $15.00 for haul of my old fridge but when the fridge came in 3 WEEKS LATER I was told that it would cost $80.00 to haul away and that I would need to call the other sears to get my $15.00 back. YOU CAN NOT ORDER FROM THE REGULAR SEARS WEBSITE, BE SURE YOU ARE ON THEIR WEBSITE WHICH IS DIFFERENT!

Instead of traveling to a big box store for atop of the line washer dryer combo we decided to buy locally in Steamboat.Deciding on a Kenmore pair for $2200 + we were told it would be a week before delivery would be made to the store, ok.A week later I called and was told arrival had not been made and perhaps delivery to the store would be on the truck in three days at which time I called once again and was told the units had been in the store since the original day.Delivery to our residence was discussed and after 4 days of back and forth a date was set and price was quoted of $40.00.The delivery service contacted me and quoted $100 for delivery,$50.00 for installation and $40 for haul away of old units.Having no other options I agreed reminded that the service was not affiliated with the store.After making a special trip to Steamboat to meet the delivery time/date.After 4 days of missed delivery times the units arrived and were installed however a hose to enable steam drying and the drying rack were not included.Upon contacting the store once again we were rudely informed by the female employee the delivery service was not affiliated and it would be necessary to purchase the missing items and that everybody knew that.Going forward we will purchase big box or on line to save money,aggravation and wasted idle time.Killing brick and mortar

Jim Williams was super helpful! Black friday cleared them out of what i was in a need for and he offered to come in on his day off to let me borrow his personal tools! interactions like this give me faith in people! will definitely be shopping here when replacing appliances.

Great customer service every time. Ive broken a couple of Craftsman tools in recent years and these guys are always happy to help with warranty issues...versus bigger hardware stores that look the other way when you take a defective product in. Ace told me to get lost...Sears is there with a smile. Need more stores like this one in our town!!

I had an excellent experience at Sears in Steamboat. What a delight to be able to walk into a Sears in your small town and have immediate assistance & price matching on the spot. I came into the store while it was short handed and facing the unloading of a semi full of appliances. Stephanie still found time to research four difference appliances and send them to me later that day, in time for a Labor Day sale price. Shes very knowledgeable and helpful. Jim, the manager, was researching an apparent lost order from Sears, com (NOT Sears Home Town) and had to spend lots of time on it. Great people.

I am all for buying locally. I have spent tens of thousands of dollars at our local Sears store over the past 35 years; buying tools, appliances, snowblowers... I am willing to pay a bit extra and even wait for what I want if they dont have it in stock, but for that I expect good customer service. I went to my local Sears store today to buy a dishwasher, I was ready to buy and wanted one today. I walked in and the salesperson said Ill be right with you. I said great and walked over to the dishwashers. Two other people came in after me and were waited on before me. When one of the salespeople was free the phone rang and then they got into a long conversation, the other salesperson when they were free looked at me and walked into the back of the store without saying anything. I stood around for at least 20 minutes and was ignored. I was personally in the store so in my opinion the guy on the phone can wait or be called back, and whatever the other salesperson needed in the backroom could also wait. I finally said to myself screw it and headed towards the door. Again no acknowledgment from the employees. If buying locally means paying more, waiting for what you want and having salespeople ignore you then you can expect me to buy somewhere else.

Jim saved the day when the washer went out in my rental unit during a guest’s stay. He found a replacement for my hard-to-fit space and an installer who could get the job done in a matter of days. Guests were not overly inconvenienced and the price was right! Thanks a million!

Small store with limited offerings, but good in a pinch. Very friendly staff and more options on the online store, which you can then ship to the store for pickup, which is nice! Better for appliances than hardware.

Absolutely awful service! Incredibly rude manager! She should be fired. They screwed up our large order with the wrong kitchen items. To make matters even worse the order was two months late which then held up our remodel project with the local contractor. Do not order anything from this store. If you do-you will be as sorry as we were. We wanted to buy local to support the town of Steamboat but huge mistake. Buy your appliances from Home Depot instead. The really sad thing, I was going to buy some mattress from this store and spend several thousand dollars more, but now I will have to go elsewhere. Stupid manager!

Great service. I was looking for a dishwasher to fit in a smaller than usual space and was having difficulty finding anything that would fit. Stephanie, one of the Sears staff, said she would research options and email them to me to save me from waiting. Even though Sears do not stock the options Stephanie found that worked for me, she emailed the information with several options which was super helpful. Great service! Thank you.

We have replaced all our appliances in our house with the help of our local Sears store. We ha e never had any problems until we purchased our washer/dryer set back I. 2011. We have had nothing but problems with the dryer until. At first they were very helpful. But the same problem continued and they have stopped trying to help with this matter. They refuse to admit that this unit might be a defect. So we have decided to not shop any longer at our local Sears. We will be buying a new washer/dryer set soon at Home Depot.

Have not had one good experience here. Nothing you buy online is actually in store regardless of the fact its labeled as such. Go in to pick it up and OOPS we dont have it, sorry. But even though we sent you an email saying we didnt charge you we are going to hold that money in limbo so you cant use it eslewhere for days. Thank you Sears. How we are incapable of having an online system up to date is beyond me.

I have been to these folks for tool purchases, vacuum repair, oven replacement advice, refrigerator replacement advice.They have always been cheerful and greatly helpful and have gone the extra mile even when I bought products somewhere else. And their repair staff seems to be very competent - everything has stayed fixed.

Ive been in the store several times recently, I need all new kitchen and laundry appliances, but I work alot so Im limited as to when I can get in here. Apparently this kid without hair is only at work when Im off of work because hes there every time Im in and hes also the reason Ive left every single time, and wont be back. Hes so messed up on drugs that he can hardly hold his eyes open and it seems that his coworkers are ok with this. I went in three times and on the third time I asked this kid his name and he just staired at the wall like a zombie. Finally I asked the girl what his name was and she rudly told me BEN WHY? I quietly left and am now buying online and will have to drive to denver for my items. Someone needs to get that kid some help. Ill never be back in this store and Ive told my neighbors and employees to avoid at all cost. Its no wonder Sears is going under if this is the standard. Just WOW is all I can say.

I am glad it is here. Some of the employees seem overworked. possibly due to having to help ppl load items all day without proper tips or pay. Id say it fits the steamboat service standard. But if you are used to professional customer service thats hard to find in steamboat so dont expect it here. when you get a notice that your item has been delivered wait a day then call. as if you show up after you get the notice it still wont be unloaded off the truck and they wont call you when it is. so just know its up to you to check on items delivered dont rely on the automated system. sometimes it feels like i walked into a store in a bad neighborhood as it seems some ppl have other jobs going on while working there and your just getting in the way. but thats most of steamboat

For a few months I bought a washing machine here in steamboat spring co and it lasted a month and I have been talking to change it and they only tell me that they have to send me a technician and nothing if someone has happened this tell me what I can do because the washing machine I only used it for a month
