Reading some of the other reviews I concur with the 4-5 star ones. It is one of the smaller sq-footage-wise sports shops. However, it has used its space efficiently. Good deals on clothes and shoes which is what I have purchased at this store. I love going to these types of small shops instead of the larger big-named sporting goods stores, where you tend to pay more because of the storefront locale and size.

Great deals. Store is organized. The staff welcomes you at the door and ask if you need help. They will then help you look for what you need. There was a couple time one of the staff check in to make sure I was finding everything ok.

Good selection. Reasonable prices. Clean orderly store. Excellent customer service. May improve lighting inside.

We found a nice pair a Nike cleats on sale for my grandson and a very expensive pair of football gloves that my grandson wanted and we gave to him because he deserves it. Oh yeah, they have all kinds of sports equipments and cloths and shoes for everybody; the poor and the wealthy, the ratchet and the classy.

Me and my wife loved shopping there they have a lot of good deals on shoes

I needed help with something, before I could even ask a nice young man was asking if he could help me. My daughter got a pair of shoes and they didnt have a second pair, the young man took an alike pair up front and the cashier called two other stores to locate the shoe she wanted, Great Customer Service!

Honestly, not in the best part of town, but the staff is friendly.They dont have a great selection as the store is on the small side compared to other Big 5 stores, but you can find boating equipment, ammunition, camping, apparel for great prices (often on clearance too), shoes and the usual baseball, basketball, etc...Dont expect much if youre a fitness enthusiast; they dont carry a large selection of equipment and really that section is the smallest in the store. You can find free weights and plates when theyre in stock (which is not often due to Covid, not the stores fault its just a fact)Check it out if youre on the hunt for something, but keep your expectations low.

Wide good selection of equipment for many things, they have a whole entire area for certain things, it’s easy to get what you want and I’d recommend if your in the need.

Good deal on work boots

Went there to grab a golf glove at 745 when they closed at 8. I told the guy that all I need was a large right handed glove and I would be done well before 8. They were walking out of the store and had already closed up shop for the night. Don’t advertise that you’ll be open until 8 if you’re going to start closing your doors at 730. What a waste of gas.

Before our trip we came here to look at cots. It was too late to get a cot on Amazon and have it shipped. Much to our surprise there was a very nice Coleman Cot on sale here. I did a quick comparison to Amazon (to see if it was a good deal) and it appeared to be a decent (maybe not good deal) so we bought it. We also purchased other items and considered other items.Big 5 is still a great local sporting goods store that I will visit from time to time for that instant gratification and to be able to look at products in person.

Friendly play as they always greet you with all those you walk in the door. Best place in town to buy your shoes also tackle and other sporting equipment available.

Went in for work shoes, received help right away. I was in and out in about 10 minutes. The associates are very friendly and helpful.

I love to get my tennis shoes there they have the best sales. I can buy 2 pairs for the price of 1 pair. The staff there is very pleasant and helpful.

One of the worse customer service I have ever witnessed in retail I went to go buy some baseball pants. I signed up for their email club which will give me 10% off. Their system was not working took 25 minutes and I still didnt receive my coupon I asked them if they can give me the 10% off and override it and they said no we need a barcode. He said that I can go home and come back with the coupon which Im not gonna waste 30 minutes going back-and-forth for just $2. It wasnt the money its the principle of the whole matter. On top of it they said comeback July 20th and we have a sale that you can save which wouldnt even be on the item that I was buying. Worse cashier Jasmine and manager Chris that I have seen in Big 5 history. Never going back there anymore..

Good selection...

On the smaller end for a big 5 but they somehow manage to have what I need more often than the larger stores. The employees here are hit and miss though. One young lady spent 20 minutes or so very kindly helping my young son pick out a proper glove and bat. We have however also gotten the odd employee who just wasnt helpful in the slightest or heres your total now bye at.tje register. A little hello or have a nice day goes along way.

I go here for my hiking shoes, work shoes, workout shoes, and casual shoes. Great selection, great prices, and the shoe staff is always there to help.

Dont go there for fishing equipment. Poor selection. Think their shoes are seconds. Buy it when its on sale. Low quality products

Never in my life have I had such a bad experience. The shoe guy brought me out the wrong shoes to try on 3 different times..

I had many questions about the quality and whereabouts of different products I ended up buying shoes and shirts I really enjoy this store I go to three big five and this is my favorite one

The fat girl at the front desk at this Spring Valley location did not let me walk inside the store without a mask which is by LAW, NOT REQUIRED.

This is the closest Big 5 in our area. We like coming here for last minute outdoor activity stuff. Staff if friendly and the store is pretty well stocked with the things we go in for.
