When I moved to CT from NY, I wasnt sure Id find a local shop that could build me the gravel/touring bike of my dreams, but boy, did Class Cycles deliver. Greg and team took every precaution to remain steadfast during the great pandemic bike shortage, working with me to find smart, creative solutions and keeping me updated on the process throughout. After 15 years of riding, I finally got a proper bike fit with Andrea (amazing!) which completely changed my game. Im now on a custom frame and set up that feels super good, performs wonderfully, and looks rad too. I cant believe this gem of a shop exists and Im so appreciative of the outstanding service they provide to all. Bravo, Class Cycles, for keeping the torch lit for local independent cycling communities - and holy cats the recent renovation looks great.

Overall great experience. Had trouble getting a bike for the longest time, wasn’t able to get the model I wanted but they let me know when there was a similar model available. Bike took longer to build than expected but upon pickup they were very thorough to explain all the new features of my new bike. Highly recommend.

Very happy with the service I received at Class Cycles. They are SO busy, but took the time to listen to what I wanted done/upgraded on my road bike. After waiting for what seemed an eternity (thank you Covid-19), the parts came in and my scheduled appointment day came. The turn around time was 2 days less than they said it would be to put the new components on my bike and new Jones handlebars! The staff at Class Cycles is first Class. I went there only with the idea of, I wanted a bicycle. They took the time to ask the questions to get me on the bike I wanted.While waiting for the bike I ordered (delays due to Covid) they kept me informed of the order status and were willing to work with me to help me find an alternative bike if I could not wait. I decided to wait and the bike arrived not long after the original delivery date.The staff at Class let me know as soon as my bike was in, the service tech let me know when it was about to be assembled and then again when my bike was ready for pickup.The entire experience was just what I want from the places I do business with.Anybody can take your money but not everybody makes you feel like you spent it in the right place, Class Cycles was the right place.

Love this place and I havent even been there. After a negative experience at the bike shop 10 minutes from my house I called these guys up and got Nick on the phone. Told Nick what kind of bike I was looking for and he took me through all my options. He sold me a bike I havent even seen (although I had done plenty of prior research on the brand). Great customer service, I dropped $700 over the phone because of it. Cant wait for my bike to come in!

Not only are their prices comparable to online stores, the customer service from Greg, Dan, and the rest of the staff is outstanding. Ive seen them help guide new riders to the appropriate bike for their riding style and watched many new cyclists leave the shop with a new bike and a big smile.Their repair service is fantastic, the mechanics will take time to explain what needs to be done or what was done to your bike. Such a great shop. Ive had my bike serviced here and theyve been honest and up front every time. The shop is a great place to browse and pick up whatever you might need and the staff is always happy to have a chat with you. The community around the shop is great, like an extended family and not just another business selling you stuff. They also lead tons of shop rides so you can find like-minded cyclists of your ability level and theyre all great fun.

I have worked with this shop on several bike upgrades and they are super professional in terms of the quality of their work AND their customer service. They truly live up to their name as a Class establishment. Their mechanic Andy has worked on several of my high end carbon road bikes and he works like an artist, taking his time and paying attention to details. I would recommend this shop to a beginner just getting into cycling or a seasoned veteran with a quiver of high end bikes. They are fantastic.

We stared buying bikes, doing repairs, buying gear, with Class Cylces ten years ago from Roy and now Greg. My wife and I have both felt the difference of having a new bike fit by Andrea. Last year we really started getting involved in the weekly road rides during the summer and in the fall and we both bought gravel bikes. Dan and Greg do a great job helping customers buy what the y need and can afford. Andy always does a great job on the repairs he came from Cannodale and is a great bike mechanic. This is more the than a bike shop it is an incubator for a community of people who like to be active and social. I have had some really great times with the community of people who shop at Class. Class Cycles is the place to go for any and all bike and bike accessories needs and advice. Weve purchased 6 bikes over the past 12 years from Class Cycles and every buying experience includes great listening skills and a catered solution from the Class staff. I watch Greg, Dan and team talk to young families buying their first cruiser for a little kid, to the hardcore cyclists- and everyone in between -- these guys are pros for every level and every kind of rider.

I bought a bike directly from Trek, but I wish that I bought directly from them! Trek shipped my bike (Womens Marlin 5 Mountain Bike) to them and they assembled it and helped fit it to my height. They also added little parts when putting it together (such as a piece of tape to help protect the frame from chain slap) (things that I would not have noticed if I had not gone on Youtube to watch beginners things to add to your bike to help its longevity and maintain its value). Definitely will come here to get my bike serviced when the time comes.

These guys are awesome! They take such care in getting you on the right bike in the first place - and they have a sports trained physical therapist, Andrea, on site, who makes sure that your body and your bike are fully aligned, so no aching knees or backs! And after you have the bike they really help you take great care of it and keep it running in peak form... and when you have a little boo-boo, they do everything in their power to get you and your bike back on the road ASAP... and the Class Cycle bike shorts are super comfortable.

I returned to biking about 15 years ago. When I brought my first Cannondale into the shop last year the guys told me I was riding a death machine! They explained that replacing all that was worn out would be expensive and that perhaps I should consider a new bike entirely. I am an easy sell and they worked thoughtfully around my budget and actually found a 2018 Supersix (beautifully green) that was right in the heart of what I could spend. It was suggested that I keep the old bike for a trainer- which I bought this winter. What a great place- super helpful and aware of the customer first and foremost. Highly recommend!

Had the most wonderful experience, best service and support just now visiting class cycles. I called with a very basic problem was told to come in and they could look at my daughters bike right away. Upon arrival we were greeted by the very friendly and encouraging staff. They quickly assessed the situation and were able to fix it on the spot! I recently stopped by to order a pair of quality tires for my road bike. But, there was no need to order them as they were in stock. Dan took the time to discuss my riding habits to ensure that I would be happy with my choice. What followed was a very thoughtful discussion of the tires I had chosen. Dan provided very detailed explanations of the features of the tires I had selected. There was no up-selling involved. The tires were installed quickly while I had lunch...one very happy customer!!!

Not a hard core biker, had an older hybrid bike I wanted serviced. The invoice matched the detailed estimate I had been given and I was thrilled by the quality of the work. The bike has basically been restored and is now immaculate. Whisper quiet and functioning great.Very happy, I will be back to this shop.

Small but mighty. This fairly small shop is packed with great bikes from modest to high end, a wide variety of accessories and lots of expertise. The relatively new owner has built on the prior ownerss success. Its the only specialty bike shop for many miles and they do a great job.

I left Southbury two and a half years ago and still consider Class Cycles to be my bike shop. I bought my first Cannondale there many years ago. When it was time for a new bike I called a Greg. After many conversations back and forth we decided on a Carbon Synapse Ultegra Disc. Greg shipped it to me in San Antonio, TX and I couldn’t be happier with the service, the bike and years of friendship with the Class team. I even wore my classic Class Cycles Jersey last Sunday while riding.

Ive been working with Class Cycles for the past 4 years. Ive bought a cross bike, a full suspension MTB and have about 8 to 10 thousand miles on them. I also bought an indoor trainer. The support has been exceptional far beyond the initial buying experience. I tend to buy quality aluminum bikes and not carbon bc Im a little thrifty. Im also 250 pounds so they take a beating and continue to shine. Class cycles has also done an exceptional job building a group of riders at all levels from A to C for road gravel and MTB rides. They also do bike fittings. OMG what a difference. I highly recomend this shop for people who want to be part of something special or if they just want a new bike & some accessories.

Can’t say enough about the positive experience I had @ Class Cycles with the recent purchase of my new Cannondale Synapse!The owner Greg and his professional sales team make you feel welcome from the minute you enter through the shop’s doors.On a Saturday afternoon in December, I went to CC looking to purchase a bike. I have visited many cycle shops around CT/NY and researched online before I purchased a carbon bike. I was most comfortable dealing with the staff at Class Cycle. The staff was most concerned with my needs, they are knowledgable about their products, and most importantly to me they are a service driven shop, not a sales driven which made me feel confident in my purchase. The feeling of isolation from the communities we live in is a problem across our country, but can be felt very much so in Western Connecticut. Spread out suburbs disconnect us from each other and our lack of shared spaces for interaction weaken our communities. In the midst of this crisis, Class Cycles is a breath of fresh air. Greg has created so much more than a bike store in this small space in Southbury, He’s brought together people and given them a space to share the sport they love with others. Come to Class Cycles for the deals and the excellent service, but stay for the people. Come to one of the perpetually packed group rides and find that the commonality with your fellow cyclers will have you enjoying the sport more than you imagined possible. Walking through the door of Class Cycles changed my perception on what a business should be, and I hope the same will happen for you when you enter that store.

The shop and team are great. They know their craft, bikes, and accessories. My go to bike shop and I have to drive through Waterbury!

Im a former Bethel Cycle customer that needed to find a new bike shop in the area. Class Cycles is more of a drive to get to, but a way better shop with none of that snobby attitude. Not suprised Bethel Cycle went outta business. Class Cycle is top notch with service, parts and friendliness. They just dont cater to the geek with a cycling kit advertising the stores name. A good lesson in retail business.
