Am concerned with the proliferation of do it yourself technology. Look how many people laid off as a result. Some turn around and say people dont want to work. Many elders have fun being part time cashiers. Not for the money but its something that keeps them going because if you stop working/walking you stop living . This young black man jumped from machine to machine rescuing shoppers like me the old school trapped by the technological imperfection. To scan the corn, apple, potatoes, vegetables can almost arrest you by the machine embarrassing you and wasting time. We never had this problem with cashiers. Some stores near me helpers are scarce and when they appear they help you reluctantly. No not this young man. His eyes are all over that before you raise your head for help,he had swiped his card and straighten whatever problem. That was amazing. Ive never seen people work like that. So this store has this guy a son of encouragement. And Thanks.

I went to this today 8/10/21 to get a few items needed for a friend. One thing I noticed parking was clean not cluttered carts. Inside the store well maintained, very family friendly everything is where it should be, wasnt that hard to find what your looking for if you know what you needed. But it would really help to have more associates on the ails incase a customer wants to ask a question, for this reaso only Im giving it a 4****. Cashier are very friendly and ready to assist with checking out.Im recommending you to use this store for your family groceries.

I come to this store often but I never write a review but this young lady Alisha made me just have to write one. She works in numerous parts of the store and has been a pleasure at every one she does my lottery at customer service,she rung up my order super fast the other day on the register and she helped me navigate on the self checkout because the new machines are terrible I was becoming frustrated and she came over patted me on the back and told me she would take over for me and rung my entire $200 order at self checkout I offered to give her a tip but she just said no thank you and asked me to fill out a survey. Ive been coming here for years and Im just glad you guys hired such an amazing worker. Keep up the good work Alisha

Havent been to one in awhile, I do love the unique finds. It gets 4 stars because if you ask for help some people have an aloof look as if they arent listening. However, their was a woman there who is the MVP, when the line was held up.

I went to Stop & Shop because it was on my way home. I dont usually shop there. I prefer Shoprite. Didnt want to go out of my way that day. Stop &Shop was very bright, clean and lines moved fast. The story had everything I was looking for. I would return for a quick stop again.

Try not to bump into Marty while youre there. Marty is maybe the most important employee they have. He makes sure there no spills and breakage in the aisles.

The covid guidelines may as well be NON EXISTENT because 1) the staff are wearing their masks under their noses 2) they fail to tell shoppers to also wear their masks above their nose 3) its been an entire year and the shoppers somehow aren’t mentally capable of following BRIGHT RED ARROWS ON THE GROUND and the staff doesn’t care to enforce them anyway. Grocery stores are under the category of “essential business” which means they have the MOST customers coming in out of anywhere, and they’re one of the least effective places at guaranteeing Covid safety. Its been an entire year, other places are capable, fix it.

Nice and clean inside, not crowded at all. Pharmacist and nurse were very nice and helpful and kept the whole COVID vaccine process simple and seamless.

I really like this supermarket. The only issue that I have encounter recently is theres a employee who is straight up nasty in the in the deli/hot food department. Twice I had to address the fact that she will be cleaning and will go straight to serve you without changing her gloves. She actually caught a attitude. Spoke with the manager. Hopefully he address it.

I like there new handheld scanners. If you have a stop and shop membership cards, you can scan that and get this handheld scanner. You can scan products as you buy, you can see the price, get all the membership specials etc. Check out is fast and convenient, which I like in these Covid days.

Was not satisfied with there service today. I could have been better. The cashier was not not helpful at all the assist with my bags. She just stood there and watched me pack my groceries, even though there was a long line of people waiting. She should be trained again.

They have nice options, customer service is okay not their strong point. If you are looking for a store with a variety this is a good spot.

I go to check myself out and for the third time Im targeted one of the employees have to scanten of my items I guess to make sure I dont steal anything. I feel some type of way I dont need to steal anything Ive been going to that supermarket forever .

I hardly ever go to the Stop & Shop because I find a lot of things are past the expiration date. Their meat department especially has problems and I have gotten a lot of meat that when I got home was bad most recently I bought turkey thighs on Saturday the expiration date was the 13th I cook them on the 11th and one of them tasted funny so into the trash it went

The have a great selection of whole foods & organic items which I love. They could use more cashiers on deck during peak hours. I had to go to self check out quite a few times with a pretty hefty cart. I understand that maybe during these times there may not be a lot of staff available but there sure are a lot of workers shuffling around the store, maybe theyre not able to cashier. The staff is usually pretty friendly.

Applied for a job here, was called to come in. Had to go to the solution center where Satans spawn greeted me. Told me to wait for the manager to come down. 20 mins later I was greeted by an actual pear wearing an apron. Was taken to a back room to do some paperwork and was told I would be getting an email about everything and our next meeting for training. Showed for training and waited until I became that raisin grandma from SpongeBob to be informed by another raisin that the pear was not in that day, turns out she forgot. Asked the pear about my schedule and it never gave it to me, instead asked for my availability 9 times. Keep in mind I was hired and a month later I was never given a schedule. During class someone gave me a call and left a voicemail that I had work. Who the heck schedules someone and doesnt even give it to them when they ask AND expects them to come in. Employees look like they hate their lives. Bathroom is in a shady part of the building. Onions have fruit flies around them. Would not recommend.

Clean and excellent customer service. Everyone is wearing face masks and it seems they really take social distancing seriously. I will definitely return, I am impressed by how organized and clean the store is. Anywhere where they act like they care about customers and welcome them is the best! This location definitely does this, I was immediately greeted upon arrival. Little things like this I truly notice A+ service.

A good place to shop with reasonable prices but stay clear of the fish department. Some of the fish & shellfish are 2 days old. I wanted to buy a few dozen clams but they were all open. The fish manager still tried selling them to me & I told him people will get sick if he sells them. He ignored me. Never buy fish in a supermarket on a Sunday. Its 2 days old and beginning to go bad. Try buying your fish at Freemans in Maplewood or South Orange. Its always fresh with a large variety of fish & shellfish..

Stop and Shop is a great place to shop. One of the things that keeps me coming back is the lighting and width of the isles. I feel very comfortable and I always look forward to shopping there. Ive been going to this store location since it opened as Pathmark. Stop & Shop is clean, has good products, and great customer Service, but as most customers have expressed it is expensive. As a vegan I would like to see more of an extensive selection of Gardein meetless products; Gardein Original Breakfast Plant-Based Sausage Patties, Gardein Sliced Italian Sausage, and Gardein Sweet And Tangy Barbecue Chicken Wing. I also buy the SO Delicious Dairy-Free Dipped Double Chocolate Delight (Cashew Milk) icecream bars, but most of the time when I go, the shelf is empty.

Everything is Fresh and the employee are so helpful when you ask for help. The line are not long and move very fast.

It is a supermarket. Theres a parking lot where you can put your car and then you can grab a shopping cart and collect all the things you need for your home. They have food and drinks and a bakery and a frozen food section Isle and a seafood section and sandwiches and cold cuts and crackers juice yogurt pretty much anything you like to consume. Its fun to grab the scanners in the beginning and scan your own things or you could have their employees do the work. Sometimes it gets really cold in the frozen food section remember to bring appropriate clothing.

The store is well kept. However, my recent vist was BS. I wanted to buy fish, crabs and shrimp for a party. So I headed straight to the seafood department. The clerk saw me but kept chopping up fish. He was less than 5 feet away from me but didnt say a thing. No acknowledgement that a customer was waiting to be served. I stood there for a good minute and decided to leave. He was doing this on purpose as to say you arent important or I could care less about the customers here. When you see customers and you are too busy to stop your chore, you should tell them I will be with you in a minute or simply say hello. I hope the manager addresses the lack of skill in this department. I did mention this to him (the manager) on my way out the door. Do better!

I hate this supermarket. Its bland overpriced and they did nothing to help with the pandemic. I guess its just for the uppity people of south orange.

I wish they kept their Morningstar and Gardein vegan entrees in the same place. I feel like they used to have more Gardein options. The hot sauce selection is extremely lacking. HOWEVER, no supermarket has a better selection of high-quality coffees. And it makes me wish they had even more! Guess Im hard to please. Its a solid store, overall. The coffee selection though? High-notch, if not top.
