The store was well organized and clean. My husband needed handles for bands last minute. He was not impressed with the handle selection but it was better than nothing. Overall great place if you need something on the fly. The prices were on the higher end and the sales just seemed like the regular prices.

Prior to shopping at this location, I did a little online research to ensure my item was in stock in the store. Usually, when you see an item online, its not always available in-store. Well, I was a very satisfied customer because not only was the bicycle in the store, it was the exact bike I saw online. Additionally, the sales associate Kevin was the absolute best!! He came right over and gave me the best service. I purchased my 1st bike with all the accessories. Happy early Mothers Day to me!! My go-to place for all things sports! Theres always someone willing to help me find what I seek, and they do it with a smile! The lines are not too long and enough registers are open to accommodate the flow of customers easily. The store is clean and well-stocked.

They have pretty much everything you need to do things with you and your family I just wish they would get more 380 ammo soon

Ordered online: 3 patio umbrellas and two bases, had Samantha call to let me know the ones ordered were not in stock and then this young woman walked thru and found different umbrellas and colors, took her own cell phone to photograph the umbrellas and get everything sorted, I never set foot inside the store!! Can’t say enough about the level of customer service

Selection is very good, but on a weekend, during the busiest time, there were only 2 cashiers, so we had to wait in line for almost 45 minutes to pay. This wasnt the first time this has happened. I think this location must either be chronically understaffed or poorly managed. Other than that, the store is clean, the prices are competitive, and the staff they do have are friendly and usually helpful.

Very unhappy with my time energy gas and money being wasted. I ordered two pairs of shoes barely over a week ago and when I finally get to come pick them up theyre not even there for me. Theyre saying they put it back because it took too long to pick up. How about you email me and tell me that? How about you warn people that when theyre ordering online. How about I still would not have gotten the shoes if I opted for delivery from this same place and you guys already had the payment. Yet they have seem to have ran the payment twice according to My bank text alerts. The last one was just two days ago so why do I now have to start all the way over to buy shoes? I surely wont be buying them in there!

I sincerely hope I wasted as much of their time as they wasted of mine. There are other retailers that treat customers with more respect.Workers here are slow, not very communicative, and indifferent. I guess they didn’t want to sell me anything because I was price matching. It does take a while to get a treadmill from the back, but zero communication, and took way too long. I gave up and walked out. The manager did not care to hear about it.Manager was rude and combative on the phone, and interrupted me at every point that they could. They can’t listen to what a customer is saying. Instead, they want to think about what they have to say while I’m saying relevant stuff. When I informed her of this they asked me to be respectful. What????! Huh?! No wonder I was rude to them.

Just spent over $200 in this store getting ready for my annual hunting trip this year. I was trying on hunting jackets and shoes, when I noticed store employees constantly walking past me. Looks like they are trying to see if im stealing cause Im black. Its a shame that this kind of practice goes on in our society today. Im sure the have 50 cameras inside the store to see what Im doing rather than to be so obvious watching me. Ill shop on line or go to cabellas.

The merchandise in the store is not kept very organized and in its place. Went to purchase sport shoes and the shoes were not where the label on the shoe on display indicated. Took me around five minutes to locate the shoes I wanted. Also, the store used to have more variety and selection of products.

Got my fishing shirt that we were asked to wear at my uncles memorial service because he loved to fish and did it almost every day.

Shoes for my wife and daughter and they had the right size In stick. They had a good number of choices.

Its a nice store, seemed very clean and organized but went there for golf items and the section was somewhat lacking. Only 3 or 4 types of shoe on a rack. One driver was available, lots of putters though and a small green to test them. I showed up late about 30 mins before closing but the store was fairly busy and there was one teller and four people in front of me with 3 behind me. Overall good though, dont be discouraged.

Incredibly well-stocked sporting goods store, great prices, and big! Fairly crowded and understaffed on the day before Fathers Day which slowed the checkout process, but they had Levis™ 501s in stock... so, thumbs up. 👍

This place has terrible customer service. Went to pick up an online order had to wait for 3 Academy Sports workers to train one of them how to do a fishing license for two different people. Asked another worker if she could get my order she said No, sorry.

Now person my main reason I go to the academy sports is mainly for guns and ammo and all and Equipment but if you looking for a clothing athletic wear athletic gear sports gear they are definitely the cheapest Sports place out there who also happens to all done they dont have a big selection of gun but you can order through them through your FFL the problem when it comes to ammo and no one can beat their prices. To be honest their gun prices is also one of the cheapest Ive seen the state they care most name brands such name brands Sig Taurus Mossberg Smith & Wesson and other brands

Many Items they sell cars cheaper on there on line store.So check before you check out and ask them to honor.

Great place for fishing equip...not for fitness. The brands of equipment that Academy carries are lacking quality. Perhaps great for a 13 year old who wants to workout in their garage. However, for people who are even slightly more interested in fitness, there are better quality options for very simular price points.

Called and spoke with Jay about ammo. He said they had 12 boxes of my requested ammo. Approximately 1 hour later I arrived. The SA sales person said they had sold out.However, the sales person was assisting a African American couple complete a gun sales form. The couple did not have the correct new mailing address on the state ID. The sales person told the couple to go purchase a fishing license and then they could complete the GUN sales form. The ATF needs to investigate this company.

They need to organize their sneaker section so that customers arent doing a scavenger hunt together just to find their shoes.

Worst managed academy store I have been to. I drive many miles to hit a different store when I can. Poor customer service, so bad it seems trained.

We were in the market for a treadmill. We spent about 30 - 45 minutes in the store. We stood on the displayed treadmills, tested the sturdiness and not one single salesperson came to assist...the greeter spoke when we walked in. We finally asked him to see if he had the treadmill in stock, which he didnt. Not my best experience in this store especially since it was not crowded. We bought a great treadmill which included a years ifit membership (not from Academy Sports, they didnt want our business). But, we even upgraded the type we wanted once we found the right piece of equipment. Probably wont go back to Academy.

Academy is an outdoor and sports store that ran out if childrens Roller Skates (4 rollers not inline) months ago, so you have to order them online. Rots O Ruck!They have 3 or 4 employees (working) in the store, so good luck chasing one down. However I never had or observed a rude employee... Whew! Double whammy!The store in Snellville is always clean, they just never have what I go there for.. 😲

Always fun to look around here. Bought an amazing gun here at a great price for my husband for christmas. He was so excited and couldnt wait to go hunt! The staff is so helpful here. But if you call any academy store getting someone in the phone can be a struggle.

There are plexiglass dividers at the checkout, and a sanitisation station at the front door, although they didnt seem to be enforcing the other customers to wear masks. I have been to this location several times and specifically gone to the firearm department. Every time my husband and I have visited that department there have been 2-3 employees standing there and they never acknowledge any customers standing there. Regardless of if you are working with a customer or not, other customers should as least be greeted. Poor customer service. This is the last time I will go to this location.

Had items I saw online. However they do truthfully tell you stock is limited. Which is great. I went in knowing they may not have my size. No lies or surprises. Truthful shopping experience is all I can ask for in most cases.

Store is nice; however when walking in a police car drove up and we stepped aside and let the officer hurry inside. Two other officers were inside and they were questioning and arresting young adult for shop lifting.

Great in store experience with Jian. Only issue was my items rang up without the 25% off which was advertised. I had to go back to the sales floor and show Jian and he finally approved it. I went to the restroom and while in there checked online and indeed the items were to be 25% off. What if I didnt make a fuss?
