My wife loves this place and is slowly turning me into a convert. Every time we come here we find something we didnt know we needed. This store has an amazing ability to convince us that we need another pair of $40 socks almost every visit. The staff is always very knowledgeable and helpful. Never a bad experience. Worth the money. Worth the trip.

Quality products and they stand behind them. I had a fleece with a stuck zipper. I only wanted the zipper 3work. They replaced the garment.

One of my favorite places to shop for clothes - whether its for me or for gifts for family. Unlike most places that thrive on online (old-school catalog) shopping, this LL Bean always has a great selection of items in-store.

Bought a pair of boots here years ago. The rubber near the stitching on the top broke due to a manufacturers defect. The customer service at this store would not process a manufacturer’s defect without a receipt, which goes against the LL Bean policy. If LL Bean won’t stand by their product, then why buy it?

Great products but not cheap.

So lucky to have one close by. Brought one of my best friends in to grab his first ll bean gear and he feels ready to face his first winter in ann arbor!

They have quality flannel shirts and socks which have kept me warm through a number of winters.I got a great discount on some running shoes by shopping during one of their sales. I think that I saved about $60 from their normal retail price on those shoes which are very comfortable. A few people even complimented me on their appearance to my surprise.

Very clean store with helpful staff and their return warranty guarantee actually works well. Though this is only our second return in 25+ years the process remained pretty much the same. Their products just last.

Awesome store. Amazing staff. Helped me find sizes and even made tickets for me to order at the register. Signature line is always the best stuff. Check out was easy as I returned something, used coupons, then ordered for delivery. Already order in the store, its free delivery vs. online from home.

Excellent brand that doesn’t get the recognition. Maybe it’s a marketing thing, but I love the quality. The only down side is not having boots in popular sizes and when the staff contacts corporate, they say it isn’t available. A backorder wasn’t even possible. Losing a lot of sales over inventory.

I called this store after finding out they are the only store left with a specific boot in stock. Due to me being in VA, they are an hour behind. I ended up calling before the store opened and still someone answered. 40 minutes before opening the lady tried to help but she was in another section of the store and took my number and said she will call back. People never ever call back when you are out in these situations, so I planned on calling back later in the day. About an hour later I get a call from the store and the lady said they had them and she was going to transfer me to someone so I can have them shipped from the store. I guess something wasnt working with the phones but I was on hold for a couple of minutes and while on hold I got a call from the store again from the person over shipping orders. She didnt see that I was on hold but had my number and called me anyways to get my boots paid for and shipped. I got 20% off due to it being whatever kind of holiday sale and it was a great first experiance with LL bean. This store has some great people working there!

Always fun to shop here. Good quality and guarantee. Nothing is very high tech. Limited selection compared to catalog. Prices are OK but no bargains. Parking is close by.

Jeans. Belts. Store itself well-organized, well-lit. Easy to find in Old Orchard shopping center, Skokie. Huge parking lot. If they dont have it, get it online. Either way, its win-win. Still a reasonable warranty, given some folks tried to scam yard sale or heavily worn items as refundable. Blame them, not LL Bean. Ill get off my soapbox now. Classic merchandise. I went shopping for the first time at an LL Bean Store. A friend of mine recommended their products because of the quality & durability. I approached a salesperson to ask about coats for tall men. He was not very friendly as I greeted him with a hello & he didn’t respond back or smiled. The cashier was really nice & friendly.

I love LL Bean and have been ordering from them for years. I love the excellent quality, good prices, consistent sizing and now even free shipping. However, I just ordered two pairs of pants which until this order came in small, medium and large but now they come in sizes. I always wear size 12 but the person taking the order said the pants run small so I ordered one in 12 and the other in 14 but both of them were too small. I will have to order size 16.It would seem to me if you wanted to change to sizes that you would size your products to match those one finds in department stores like Macys. I was so disappointed. I also like the clothes in the Appleseed and Tog Shop catalogs but they are huge and never fit no matter what I do so I quit ordering from them. I hope this isnt a trend so I have to find another store from which to order as I prefer to shop from a catalog if possible. In the past this would have been five stars.Thank you!Margarita Walters

If you like LL Bean clothing, you will like this store. Probably. I suppose other factors could affect the experience. But, most likely, if you like LL Bean stuff then you will be satisfied with this store. If you dont, then probably best to stay well away.

Clothing seemed more geared for a shorter person to average build. Not for a slim or tall person . Clothing was well made but with less than top quality material compared to other places clothing that was in the same price range. Great customer service.

I’ve been a LL Bean customer for over 20 years. I recently purchased a coat priced at over $150. After wearing the coat for only 2 days, I noticed a small rip in the back of the coat. I tried to return the coat today, unfortunately the manager wouldn’t allow for the return. He stated that the material is prone to ‘snags’ and that there is nothing he can do. He suggested to buy a patch. For a company that markets itself as outdoor wear, regardless if there was a snag or not, the material shouldn’t rip. The return policy stated online is different than what the store in Skokie is adhering to. I will no longer be a customer of LL Bean.

It feels pretty vintage inside despite being a newer store. However, like most LL Beans, Im not sure what its trying to be: a more casual clothing store for middle-aged customers, or more equipment-focused outfitter for a younger crowd. This location has a bit of both, but yet doesnt have quite the selection of other outdoor-focused stores that puts it at the top of the list. However, I like shopping here for select items because of the lifetime guarantees. The staff is friendly, and seems knowledgeable when needed, but I do find the check-out process takes longer than just about any store I frequent for some unknown reason (a combination of processing time, Q&A from cashiers, etc.).

I love LL Bean, but they don’t back products like they used to. I was hiking and my new coat ripped on a branch. I mean it was only a month ago and they told me there’s nothing they can do. In fact, they told me to go buy a patch. Like, why don’t you give me one at least!!!If you are selling quality outerwear at higher prices than most, why wouldn’t you back up the prices. It’s sad, and I will go to Patagonia moving forward because they do just that.Goodbye LL bean!

While quality seems to be lacking at many retailers, it’s nice to know that it hasn’t changed for LL. Warm sweater, fuzzy socks, camping gears, sheet, blankets, and so much more. They stand behind their products, which for me, has lasted through many washes.

Nice store if youve ever wanted to check out an item before ordering through the catalog. One thing though, they had a deal recently where you would receive a $10 gift card if you spent $50. I bought a pair of ski gloves for $49.95, and they insisted I buy something else to get the deal. It may have been the terms of the deal, but I expected a little more from L.L.Bean, based on my previous experience. Also no Black Friday deals or sales, so unless you want to check out the quality of an item before buying, its easier to stay home and order online.
