I took my car in for repair after severe hail damage over a year ago and the repair is still not complete. The body repair and some of the glass was repaired pretty quickly, but there is still one piece of roof glass with a crack in it that has not been repaired. My insurance has fully paid for the repair even though it is not yet complete over a year later. The last 9 months, I havent received a single proactive phone call with an update on status, Ive called to check in monthly, and the part has still not been procured. The staff is friendly enough but at this point, it feels like there is still no solution in sight and there are no updates on a solution even though the company has been fully paid for the work.

I am very happy with the work that was done to my moms car! I can’t believe they left it like brand new 🙌🏽 The customer service was amazing as well, I was getting call updates from Irene in regards to the process and estimate of when the job would be done.The manager David was very helpful as well, as he was able to deliver the car to my mom once the job was done and even drove her home after the car was transferred from a previous Gerber location.Thank you again!

I want to Gerber to give me a price to repair my windshield that was scratched in numerous locations after being hit by a gravel surfaced roof shingle at freeway speeds. Other body shops just assumed that the glass was damaged beyond repair and that I needed to replace the entire windshield. Gerber, with their expertise in auto glass, looked at it and indicated that the scratches could be buffed out for a much lower price than windshield replacement. I trusted them and their craftsmanship and service was outstanding. The windshield looks like new! I give them high marks.

The receptionist that works there “Ania” is one of the rudest and condescending people I’ve ever encountered. Looked very annoyed the second I walked in and didn’t say hello or please/thank you she just told me to sit down and that it will take a few mins. I sat there for 20 mins and still no salesperson had helped me, so I very politely asked Ania how much longer would I wait and she rudely said “I already told u 15-20 mins!” At this point I was wondering if perhaps she was having a horrible day or something personal was going on in her life so she wanted to take it out on me. The sales lady who finally looked at my car was really nice and I asked her about the receptionist and she assured me she’s a “nice person”, so when I went back in and asked her if she was just having a bad day she rolled her eyes and acted even more hostile and said “I just told you to wait that’s all”. This place needs to do a better job of hiring a decent front desk person since she’s representing the business and customers should never feel uncomfortable. Ps, I wasn’t going to write this review because everyone deserves a second chance but when I calmly asked her if she was just having a bad day she reacted with more hostility.

I found out first hand why Gerber Collision and Glass in Skokie is rated one of the best businesses in Skokie! They were superb in every aspect of the word... Timely, professional and the body work performed was beyond perfect! I cannot say enough about this wonderful business!

Wouldnt even give them this one star!!!! Made an appointment for windshield replacement brought the wrong windshield and had to wait for that appointment for a week then after they brought the wrong windshield they made another appointment for Saturday morning saying the windshield would be coming from Wisconsin nobody came and didnt even call me to tell me the windshield didnt arrive to them.. This place has horrible customer service thought I would give them a try but Safelite is the best!!!!! Made my appointment that Saturday that Gerber did a no call no show and safelite came to me on Monday also I gerber is very expensive charge $775 for a regular windshield non factory called safelite they gave me a factory windshield a Mopar windshield for my car for $623 wow what a difference!!!!!

Involved in car accident and the person insurance company recommended Gerber collision. Didn’t know what to expect but met with a Rep name Irene. She followed through all the details, kept a good follow up, make sure everything was done on time and accurate. This has to be one my best experience coming from car accident, my car looks even newer. Thank you Irene. Highly recommend this place for any of your car needs and make sure to ask for Irene.

Irene at skokie is amazing!! I came in for a minor estimate in such panic she was about to calm me down and help. She was such an honest person and instead of charging me thousands she took the initiative to try compound to take off the scratches and was 100 percent successful!! Jaimie took very good care of me and helped me through my repair on the black CRV. The driver door is making some weirs noise but overall if god forbid you need a car repair, Jaimie is absolutely the one to call.

Where do i start, brought my car in Monday for a cracked front windshield, and a damaged sunroof. Was told it maybe 2 days, well 2 turned into 3, with no repair to the sunroof. These clowns actually mess the car up more inside, than when i brought it in. Was charged $400. for a windshield. After taking the car home i and checking-out the entire car, i found all kind of problems that their workers left unfinished. THEY DO CRAPPY WORK (at least on my car).

Honestly this place has the best customer service as well as getting your repairs done. They work well with you and always keep you updated with whats going on with your vehicle. I have fixed my card twice at this location and I have never had issues. The staff is always friendly and very well accommodating to any of your needs or questions.

For a large chain they do very good work and keep you advised as the repairs progress. Unfortunately I have had to have many cars repaired over the years and always rely upon them. They also deal directly with the insurance companies so you dont have to get involved with the cost of the repairs.

Jamie was prompt in answering my telephone call. My car was fixed right the first time. Repair personnel were professional. Personnel at this office were very pleasant to deal with.If you have to have the car repaired, this is the place to go. I had positive experience with the work they did on my Toyota 4 runner and Tesla X. Jamie was very helpful.

Jaime is an absolute pleasure to work with. Gerber does top notch body work on cars and Ive brought many cars many times without a hitch. Gerber on Skokie Boulevard is the only place I will take my car for body work and I would highly suggest anybody near the area who needs body work to go there without question. Theyre affiliated with State Farm so it makes it a lot easier to get repairs done and a lot quicker. But even if you do not have State Farm Insurance they work with almost any insurance company to get the job done.

Excellent Gerber location. I had the fortunate experience imbedded in the unfortunate when a driver turned directly in front of me when I had the right of way. I say unfortunate because any accident is not pleasant. But I say fortunate because any experience with this Gerber location is an outstanding one. Accidents are a part of life, but it is nice when you are given Angels as a supporting cast to mitigate the headaches. Both Bob and Jamie helped me tremendously this week to fix my car so well that it looked shiny and brand new when I picked it up. After they fixed the bodywork with the precision of an expensive Swiss watch, they vacuumed and washed it. This location sends you daily texts and emails indicating when the work will be done, and both Bob and Jamie put forth a loving kindness into their estimates and their interactions with you. The work is stellar, their prices are very reasonable, they finish the work on time, and you actually leave with a smile. Such a nice experience that you paradoxically almost become happy to have been in an accident! :).

This is my second coming here and if need be, theyll be my first choice to come back to again. Most recent repair was done swiftly and they said theyd try to do it for less than the estimate (which was already cheap), and they did :) Very satisfied

Final update: the manager followed up with me again on 8/11 - even though the repairs are AOK, I cant go above a four star review because of all the unpleasantness that preceded the happy ending. Final action item for all prospective Gerber customers: get the promised delivery date of when repairs will be completed in writing before you commit.Horrible service: (8/5/2016)1) have to leave car over the weekend for a 2 day repair resulting in really 4 elapsed days2) Text messages on repair are worst case - saying repair will take 10 days - this is less than useless.3) Repair promised for 2 days grows to 3 days - and estimator calls ME a liar when he breaks his word with no explanation - note the written estimate says 0 days to repair - so it just degenerates into he said/she said.4) Manager has still not called me back - waiting an hour nowIll gladly amend this review to something more positive - if meritedupdate (8/8/2016)Car was delivered with repairs completed on time. And the estimator who called me a liar when I challenged his breaking his promise no longer works there.

Does not keep commitments. Had an appointment 1.5 weeks out. The night before they called me to move from Saturday to Monday. Yeah... I work during the week ... Monday isnt going to help. Person on phone when I called back was not helpful and not concerned You are not the only one she said. Ive canceled and will take no more business there.Local chain with the chain attitude.Take your business to somewhere who cares.

Gerber did a great job with the vehicle and Im very happy with the car. A certain part took a whIle to get there, but once it did, Gerber took great care of the car. I had written a bad review earlier, but after furthere explanation, I took that review back and I apologize.

Customer was ALMOST made to pay for a paint job that was the wrong color in the zephryhills florida location. The manager Riley told me he wouldnt do business with my store because I brought this to their attention. NO PROBLEM.
