My daughter had a transmission failure in her Audi A3, and Gino (owner) was the only mechanic who had extensive experience with replacing the control unit within the transmission, rather than the entire transmission, like other mechanics wanted to do, saving us a lot of money. The part wasnt cheap, but his prices are very fair. We had some programming issues that were out of his control, and he went out of his way to instruct me on not overpaying at the dealership, which showed me that he not only believes in fair pricing for his services, but has his customers best interest in mind.His shop is super clean and the staff is great. They are very busy, so plan on a bit of a lead time for larger scale service. I will be taking all of our german cars to him going forward.

Gino and his team at German Auto Specialists have been servicing my 2007 Passat for last three years. They performed several major repairs as well as standard maintenance and they have been done right and no problems. Pricing is a little less than dealership rate but you get quality service and they really take care of customers. You also have benefit of supporting local small family owned business where family actually on site and contributing to business success. There are closer options but worth it drive a little more for service here. I credit them for keeping my 14 year old car on the road and saving me from buying a new car. I’m no longer afraid of buying German cars because I know I can afford maintenance here. Finding a good mechanic is not easy so give thisbusiness a chance and you won’t be disappointed.

Great experience with German Auto! BMW 328i stopped running unexpectedly, had the tow truck drop it off at German Auto on the weekend (they were closed) . Got a call around noon on Monday that they had diagnosed the issue, had the part in stock (replace fuel pump) and the car would be ready by the end of the day. And it was!

My first time here. My Audi had a general lube service here and it was excellent. The cost is about 40% of the similar service at the auto dealer at about half the time. I will never go back to my dealer again thanks to this new discovery of German Auto Specialist. Definitely a returning customer hence forth!

I had a strange rattling noice in the undercarriage of the car, the A/C unit was acting funny and the car was in desperate need of regular service. Everything was taken care of within a few hours and they took care of the loud rattling, which they didn’t have to do. Everyone was very friendly, knowledgeable and made sure I felt taken care of. The only negative was setting up a time to bring the car in. I did it through Yelp and was told to come on a specific day and when I showed up, there wasn’t any record that I would be expected however, they did see my car on the same day which was nice. They also aren’t going to push you into spending a ton of money if the repairs aren’t absolutely necessary which is how all shops should operate. Would highly recommend and I will continue driving up from LA to see this team.

While it’s not fun when your car requires service, it’s still necessary on occasion. Same as going to the dentist. When this day comes, it’s nice to have the team at German Auto Specialist. Not only was the owner, his wife and staff friendly and professional but this is a super clean and organized shop. Found the electrical issue (rodent damage, Grrrrr) and made the repair timely. My nearly 20 yo Mercedes started activating the car’s alarm system periodically without warning. Many time it was just parked, no one around. This last time I couldn’t get it to shut off with the key fob. In fact, I drove it in a parking lot with the alarm still activated. 😳The techs at German Auto Specialists diagnosed the issue and replaced the alarm component. At least now I’ll have peace of mind that my car is not annoying everyone within 5 miles at indiscriminate times!

Great service and an amazing price! I took my 60,000 mile BMW in for service and told them to look around for any other issues. Little while later it was done and all it needed was a very reasonably priced oil change. Other shops would have taken my blank check and run up the bill. I will be back, these guys are great!

I had a check engine light on and took it to another local auto shop. They told me my car was fine, but they could not help me with the warning light. Driving with the warning light on was very uncomfortable! When I went to West Valley Smog, Chris recommended German Auto Specialist. I am so grateful he did! Yesterday I took my car in and without asking was told that they would not only fix the warning light issue, but look the car over thoroughly. German Auto Specialist is my go to place to take my VW vehicles. Anything I need from basic tune ups, to brakes, and repair they are always able to do it day of. The prices are some of the best I’ve seen as well. You can’t go wrong with this shop!

Five stars all around. So far I like them. Ill be back as needed. Parking is tight but they get you in fast and use care with your vehicle. I spoke with the head mechanic several times and he was great, didnt try to up-sell me on services I didnt need.

I bought a 2011 BMW 328i. Took it to German Auto Specialist. Gino the owner was awesome. He is very knowledgeable about BMWs. He was very honest when telling us what needed fixed. Gino also checked over the car and let me know the rear breaks only had 5% left. The fronts had 70%. Topped off the fluids as well. I recommend this business highly. Also, a family owned company.

This is the only place outside of the dealership I will take my car for repairs. Gino is always honest and gives you detailed information that the dealership doesnt tell you. Hes saved me a LOT of money on repairs and his prices for maintenance are much cheaper/more reasonable than the dealership. This was my first visit to get my Porsche 911 S Cabriolet serviced. I had my oil and filter changed and they replaced my spark plugs and coils. I had called in the day before to get a quote. Their pricing is awesome and the work is just as awesome as their pricing. I was skeptical about using an independent as I have had a bad experience at a different independent Porsche Shop. They messed it up so bad I had to take it to the dealership to fix their mistakes.When I got there I double checked the pricing to make sure it was the same and it was exactly the same. I’ve also had bad experiences at other shops to get my Porsche serviced where they give you the bait and switch on the pricing. They give you a quote on the phone and when you get there you double check the price and the price ends up changing and being much more. He uses OEM parts so there’s no chance of inferior failure as is the case of aftermarket partsGino the owner worked with me. He is truly a upfront guy and professional. I could tell he runs his business the way a business should be run.I will definitely recommend my friends and family to get their cars serviced or repaired here.

I’ve taken my car to German Auto Specialist for about 3 years now, and let’s just say they make owning an older AMG Mercedes less of headache than they typically can be. They are very knowledgeable with German cars, and I cannot recall having to bring the car back because a repair was done improperly. Work is done right the first time, which is the most important factor with cars that already require a lot of maintenance. Also, it’s nice to get a car back from the shop without new dings and scratches. Shop is clean and technicians are well organized. Finally, prices are fair for the type of work done. I would highly recommend them.

I own a Jetta TDI with nearly 200k miles. I’ve mostly taken it to the dealership but now as it’s gotten older I’ve been seeking independent German automotive shops to service my car. German Auto Specialist is by far the best shop I’ve come across.Here’s why:1. They answer the phone promptly and actually talk to you about your issue clearly on the phone first.2. The lobby is really nice and very organized, with a clean K-cup coffee station, and cool logo merch for sale. They have a comfortable waiting area (even though I didn’t need it). First impressions are everything; the lobby is a reflection of how someone runs his business.3. Communication is too notch! Gino did a quick test drive WITH me so he could hear, feel and understand what I was describing. No one has ever offered that.4. Efficiency! I got a call within an hour or two of dropping off the car with the diagnosis and the car was ready the next morning to pick up.5. Fair pricing! I felt $700 (approx) for a new drivers side axle was very reasonable.Overall I’m super happy I found Gino and his shop. Excellent service and workmanship! Thank you!

I took my 2014 Audi SQ5 in for front brake service. After evaluating what was needed, they called me and gave me a quote for new brakes. I told him the quote was fine and to go ahead with the repair. When I went into pick up my car after the work was done, it turned out that they had under quoted me by close to $400. There are three different size brake discs used on my model vehicle, depending on the options. His son had made an error when working up the quote. Instead of explaining the error and charging me more than he quoted, he ate the $400 and kept his word. Very nice of him. He did a great job on my brakes. No problems at all. I will definitely continue to use his services when needed.

I was having a problem with my sunroof on my 2016 Mini Cooper and discovered German Auto Specialist. As a woman going into a shop it can be intimidating, but the feeling you get when entering the shop is like you are at home. Everyone is friendly, and easy to talk to and really want to help you with your concerns. Gino is exceptional. He went above and beyond to fix my sunroof. I can’t thank Gino and his family enough for the extra care with my car, and helping me to feel comfortable in their shop. They have a lifetime customer!

After attempting a repair and cutting a vacuum hose i thought i might not be able to have my car repaired until after the holidays. Gino fixed my issues same day and installed the parts i needed and had my car ready the same day! They also went above and beyond and helped provide a bulb for when my high beam went out. Needless to say i look forward to working with them again and you should definitely bring your car to these miracle workers!

Just moved-in and first thing is to find a dependable service for my Audi A3 TDI. I went online and started to search. After reading A LOT of positive reviews about this shop, I picked up my phone and made an appointment. The lady I talked to over the phone was very accommodating and warmly welcomed me to the neighborhood. Right of the bat, a positive feedback! The day came when my number is up and I took my car for an oil change. I was greeted kindly and took care of me right away. This was a surprise - they have a shuttle service!!! I don’t know any independent shop that does that. After getting some info for data entry, I was driven to my home by Samuel. BTW, the shuttle was fancy! An hour or so had past and got picked up again and smoothly went to pick up my car.I highly recommend this shop for your European branded car needs! A+++++++

Gino, the owner was super helpful over the phone and gave me a firm price and the reviews were all favorable so i got an appointment and I took my car over, they were super professional and courteous. They kept me posted throughout the entire process and I paid exactly what I was quoted. Completely painless from start to finish. The shop and waiting area was spotless and I could tell they take great pride in their business. I’ll definitely be back for the next service I need.

I’m a little reluctant to trust mechanic shops, since vehicle repairs can be quite expensive and sometimes you just don’t know if the quotes for repairs are really necessary. I had taken my 2010 BMW to Bob Smith and was quoted over $7,000 in repairs. Needless to say I was a bit overwhelmed, so I took a shot on the internet for local mechanic shops. German Auto Specialist not only diagnosed my BMW for additional repairs than what Bob Smith quoted, they also were a fraction of the cost. In and out in 2 days. Hopefully, I won’t have a need to go back for a while, but if I do, you know where I’mgoing! Trust German Auto Specialist, they won’t steer you wrong! Thank you!!
