I cannot say enough nice things about this dealership. Chris and Ben went above and beyond to make my car buying experience the greatest. I had been shopping around for awhile and found this car online, I called about it and 2 days later I was driving out with a car and a payment that worked for my budget. They worked around my crazy work schedule and even stayed late to make sure I was satisfied and everything was taken care of. I highly recommend these guys if you are car shopping and I am so glad I found them when I was shopping.

We found the dealership and went to the service department. The folks there were courteous and helpful. Service manager came out told us the cost of repairs. 1-1/2 hours later we were on the road with repairs made. They stopped working on a job to help us out. Wait area clean and comfortable. This one star is directed solely at the the service department. It took 23 phone calls placed over 4 weeks to receive an emailed estimate on the work my car needed. I would leave message after message with the front desk for someone to call me that could be of help, but I never received the calls to update me on my vehicles status. After receiving the estimate, I decided to sell my car to the dealership. That part of the process I would give 5 stars. The people I dealt with in that department were top of the line and very helpful.

Amazing customer service! This is one of the reasons why we have been buying cars there and taking our Fords, Mercurys, and Lincolns there for years. Sometimes they do have limited selection on the lot, but if you talk to Joe Whaley and tell him what you are looking for and what price range, he will get on the line and find exactly what you are looking for at no additional price. In regards to service, they have went above and beyond ... even detailed my newest Ford after a standard service.

I installed a oem remote start on my 2011 f150 and I needed the truck flashed to activate it. Most dealers wanted to charge for 1hr $120. This doesn’t take an hour. They did it for 1/2 hour. $60. This is good customer service. This is how you treat your customer 👍. I’ve bought several vehicles from them and will continue to trade there. I’m looking to get a new f150 in near future. I will stop there first.

Our car broke down in the mountains and they were able to access the problem, get it fixed and was a huge help to us. They went over and above. Martha Jordon in service bent over backwards trying to help with our extended warranty. It wasnt covered but that was not her fault. She tried diligently. They even took our rental car back for us so that we saved a days rental plus it was one less thing we have to do tomorrow. This is a wonderful dealership.

I went to McNelly Whaley Ford and was told they didnt have time to deal with me that they were a week behind in service. They did find another dealership over 30 miles away. Lance Cunningham Ford. They never told me that my extended warranty would pay for a tow. After driving over 30 miles and doing more damage to my brakes and $630.06. And 8 hours later I got back to my vacation. Come to find out later Lance Cunningham Ford never called ford extended warranty people on my van and I had to pay out of pocket. I will find another place to vacation because of the poor Ford dealerships. Do not use this dealer they dont care.

Just went to get a spare key programmed for my truck. Was told come by anytime no appointment needed $30 to program it should take about 30 minutes. Showed up a little afternoon was told everyone was at lunch til 1:00 so had to wait. Then when they started on my truck found out I had to be somewhere else by 2:00. They said shouldnt be long hes working on it. Then was told they were not able to get my key programmed so I said thats fine I can come back later I need to be somewhere else. Well theres a problem not only did they not program my key my original key is deprogrammed so my truck aint going anywhere!? So now they can sale me a brand new key, program it and get it going for $30 because they cant even program my original key to work again without a newer key REALLY. So when he gets done talking to few other people in the area and gets around to it, it is finally ready. It is now 2:30. The bill is now $93.00 the $30 program fee was $50. $30 for new key and $5 misc tax and taxes. So beware and verify before you let them burn you also. Wont be visiting anytime in the future. Thanks for the bad experience.

Since we lived out of town we did not have 3 more hours to wait for rim guy to come. So he said they could contact us and they would pay. That was in August. I’ve been told by the service manager check was out in mail. Two weeks later I️ called again and Martha called back and said check in mail that’s over 2 weeks again. I️ called again today left message for service manager to return my call and of course no call back. This dealership service department is the most incompetent and lying bs people I️ know I️ hope they choke on this money and deserve to fly or have the ford name on building. This Ford Dealership has the worst service department in history for repairing engines. It is incapable of actually fixing an engine. I am sure that if they are doing warranty work or oil changes they are just fine. However, anything internal to the engine and they will want to replace your engine.I took my mother in laws Ford F150 which broke down during our vacation with a valve/lifter problem. After all day, they determine the lifter had come loose and bent the valve. They proceeded to tell me that I needed to replace the engine since it had metal in it. SERIOUSLY... metal has to be missing to be in the engine and the Valve never came in contact with the piston. I then proceeded to explain my theory. After a lengthy discussion which included them telling me that they could not rebuild the head there... I then suggested sending it out to Precision Machine Shop... They could not do that, they agreed to replace the head with a brand new one from Ford. The price of the work was to be $5700.00. Staggering, but I was out of town and I would have a Ford warranty. The VERY NEXT MORNING.... I get a call from them. NOW they are telling me that their 25 Year Mechanic claims that the Main Bearing could have shifted choking off the oil supply to the head and that is why the head failed. That they cannot fix the engine and had to replace the engine with a new one $9000.00. Myself. having rebuilt many engines is now privately thinking .... and maybe the tooth fairy flew into the Valve Cover and placed her thumb over the ports blocking the oil too!I kindly caught my breath and asked them to button up the engine and I would send a wrecker for it. I called over to Ricks Service Center who rebuild the left and right side heads, replaced the cam, replaced the Cam phasors, installed a new timing chain kit ... basically rebuilt the entire top end for 4200.00 which included taxes and towing.Bottom line, short of an oil change, these people want to replace your engine from the start.

Dont expect a call back or ANY kind of customer service from the service department. I had my truck in there to get it looked at. On Thursday they told me they emailed information to the extended warranty company. The following Tuesday, I had to follow up with the extended warranty company myself to find out why approval was taking so long. Turns out the warranty company never received any documents from Ford. The dealership should have followed up with the warranty company themselves. Not sure why I am doing their leg work. I got an email address from the warranty company and had the service manager resend the documents over to them.Im paying daily on a rental car and they have had my truck for 11 days. I am still waiting to hear back from Ford on an update. Ive been trying to get a hold of service for the last 45 minutes. I either get transferred back to the receptionist who apologized and tells me they must be busy and them asks me if I want to leave a message or I get put on hold for 15 minutes and then hung up on.This is the first and last time Ill be using this service department for anything.

Although I tightened the hoses and the leaks stopped, I felt it was prudent to replace them. After talking with Chris the service advisor and having Luis the service technician look at the hoses, the parts were expedited by the part counter employee (forgive me for forgetting his name) and they arrived for an afternoon appointment two days later. Luis quickly replaced the hoses, topped off the tranmission with Mercron V fluid, and made sure that the motorhome was cool for our two cats who relaxed inside during the work. Went here to get my vehicle looked at for a warranty issue and an oil change. The warranty problem was fixed without an issue and to that I am thankful. However my issue is with the oil change that I received. Every brochure they have in and around the service area says The works oil change is $39.95, much to my surprise I get the Works done on my car and then get my bill which totaled over $60 and then got told that the Works package is only 39.95 if you buy it with [some other] service package. Well played to the person who does their brochures and advertisement. After realizing I got hosed I thought fool me once shame on you right? Nope! Not again! Oh but wait theres more! I then go to get in my car, which I will have you know was not extremely dirty nor did the vehicle reek of cigarette smoke before I took my car to this atrocious service area. I notice that there is a lot of dirt and oil in my and around the drivers side especially on the floor and on the door sill, further more there is grease and oil all over my steering wheel. I thought to myself this sucks but it cant get worse and then I turn my A/C on and it smells like an ash tray in my carIm not sure if this is a one time occurrence or if it happens quite often. Mcnelly Whaley Ford has forever lost my business, my familys business and a ton of friends business in the last few months due to similar reasons. The sales area is not too bad here and they are professional but their service department has cost the entire dealership to lose my business forever. Its pretty bad when 3 employees even told me that they wouldnt bring their personal vehicles to the dealership for service due to the atrocious price and service you get. Take your vehicle the extra 15 to 30 miles away to Knoxville or dandridge and stay clear of here.

Have had four experiences with this, my local dealership, and have yet to finalize one transaction. 2 were regarding sales, 2 were regarding service. In 2014 contacted the sales department about looking at a 12 or 15 passenger van. I specifically told the salesperson I wanted to compare the two to choose which one I wanted. He told me he had both on the lot and for me to come on down. Turned out he had neither, but tried to sell me a full size van. I left my contact info, and told him to call when he got at least one of them in. Couple of weeks latter saw a 15 passenger van on the lot while driving by. Talked to the same salesperson, and could not answer any questions about the difference between the 5 and 12 besides number of seats.Last year, went on the Ford site to build my own Transit. Went through all the options, and body styles to find exactly what I wanted. Called these guys to order the vehicle. One of the first questions was what was the Ford body code I wanted. I explained I wanted the extended body with medium height roof, the only info required on the ford site, and he told me he could not help me without the ford body code. I asked him if he thought there might be anybody who worked at his dealership who might know anything about Ford vehicles who could answer his question. He said I needed to go on the site to get the info. I really needed the vehicle at the time, so I went back through the process of building my Ford, and even looked up the brochures with the specs for the vehicle, but never came across his Ford body code. I ended up buying from a dealer in Georgia with 1 20 minute phone call. The 2 service experiences were similar, but increasingly outrageous. When I brought the Transit home, quickly realized one of the seat belts did not work. Called my local Ford dealer and was told they did not have the part, but would order it and call when it arrived. Two weeks latter, called back and found that they never ordered the part. Took the vehicle to a dealership 2 hours away were they quickly repaired the problem. My last interaction, and what motivated me to finally sit down to write this, concluded yesterday. Since we have vans that hold over 8 people, and we cross state lines, we are required to have annual Department of Transportation inspections by a DOT certified mechanic. Made an appointment with these guys (there are just soo much closer than our next option), explained to them exactly what we needed, specifically asked if they had a DOT certified mechanic. They said, yes, yes, they do these inspections all the time. Scheduled a time about two weeks in the future that worked for both of us. Yesterday, on the day of the appointment, on the way to this dealership, I called because I had an additional service item to perform. The service department said they were happy I called, because it turned out they do not have a DOT certified mechanic, they can not do the required inspection, but they would be happy to do the other service item if I still wanted to bring the van in. They figured all this out shortly after scheduling the appointment but did not bother to call. After my second sales experience with these guys, I contacted Ford Corporate to let them know that these guys are impacting my decision to buy Fords in the future. Corporate was very apologetic, but explained that these franchised dealers are very independent, but there is little they can do.If you are considering buying a Ford in Sevier County, there is a reputable dealer in Morristown, or go to Knoxville. Better yet, consider options other than Ford so you do not have to waste your time driving long distances to reputable dealers or repair shops. These guys do not mind wasting your time.

I find this sad. I am a Ford share holder and consultant for Ford Motor Company. Now I know why people talk bad about Ford.
