I had such a great experience at The Dress Theory! Val was my stylist and had picked out all the dresses that I was interested in and made the process so easy! It was a day I will never forget :)

First, what a great experience. The staff treated my daughter like a goddess and best of all she found her perfect dress. She called via Facetime so she could share the experience with me so excited about her choice. Tears literally came out of nowhere as I looked on to see her beaming with happiness, and the dress... Drop dead gorgeous The Alteration team second to none did their expertise to perfection and her Day. In her words magical and the audience gasped in awww as she made her grand entrance. Thank you Dress Theory for making my babys Wedding Day the best day ever!!🥰🥰🥰😘😘

Bought my wedding dress today! This was such a wonderful experience. I was nervous and had never tried gowns on. Susanna! You were so kind, supportive, and helpful! I went to The Dress Theory this past weekend and had such a great experience with Val as my stylist! She went above and beyond to make sure I found the dress of my dreams. They have such a variety of beautiful dresses to choose from. Also, the store itself is so cutely decorated with great natural light! Thank you again for everything, Val!

The Dress Theory was the wedding dress shop of my dreams. I was so nervous to try on dresses, and Val instantly put me at ease and made me feel beautiful and special. My friends and family were able to come and be a part of the day, but honestly Val was the star. After listening to my feelings after I tried on some dream dresses that weren’t right, She suggested a dress that I wouldn’t have picked but it was instantly incredible. Since it was my first stop, I went to two other places but then ended up calling the shop and getting my dream dress. I did my alterations in house and bought my jewelry from them as well. I had to postpone my wedding due to covid in 2020, and they were great with dealing with all my questions and worries about having to get it possibly pressed/altered again for my 2021 wedding. Overall, the dress was lovely and I would recommend the dress theory and Val 100000%.

Such a welcoming environment. This was the first place I went and Val was incredibly sweet and made the process easy and fun. My price range was a bit lower than what this place specialized in so I didn’t have tons of options to work with but I have no doubt many brides will find their dream dress here if they have a slightly higher budget than I did!

I made an appointment when I was in Seattle (I live in Phoenix) because I really wanted to try on Sarah Seven dresses and they had SO many. I was SO pleased and narrowed it down to two dresses with my mother in law. Flew back with my mom and made my decision a few days later! The ladies at the shop are incredible and make the experience SO fun. The dress collection there is absolutely stunning, and my dress and veil shipped to me within a few months and I was able to get it tailored in Phoenix without any issues. I booked a wedding dress session at The Dress Theory because they carried a designer I was interested. They have a great selection overall and I have been very pleased with the customer service overall. I said yes to the Dress!!!

Wonderful Customer Service!!! I cannot say enough good things about this shop! I had a unique COVID experience with my dress, but they were there to save the day. I ordered a dress from the Dress Theory Seattle right before COVID hit, but my dress came in from the manufacturer after the shutdown. My dress was sent directly to my home instead of picking it up from the shop where I believe under normal circumstances you would try the dress on once it arrives to give it a quick once-over. When I tried the dress on at home all I could see was the front, and everything looked fine. I looked over the back while it was on the hanger and nothing looked out of the ordinary. Months later, I went in to get my dress altered and thats when my mom and the seamstress pointed out a very noticeable manufacturing issue on the back side of my dress. The seamstress (whos wonderful and very sweet) gave it her all, but unfortunately wasnt able to fix it after several attempts. Since we had been optimistic that the issue could be fixed, I had gone to my normal 2 dress fittings spaced a few weeks apart. At this point we were 3 weeks out from the wedding and there wasnt enough time to order a new dress from the manufacturer. Because of the tight time frame and unique manufacturing dilemma with the dress, one of the associates Val and her manager Camille were looped in to help. They were extremely kind, encouraging, had great communication, and I felt like they 100% wanted to make sure that I not only had a dress in time for my wedding day, but that it was a dress I loved and felt just as good in. We found another dress I absolutely love and was even able to get altered in time. Obviously this scenario was out of the ordinary due to COVID, but I truly cannot recommend this shop enough. They have a beautiful selection of dresses and really care about the customer. Would give them 10 stars if I could!

I lowkey want Kathleen to be my best friend. She was in my corner and gave honest opinions when she could tell I was hesitating about a dress and was just such a joy to work with. Rileigh was SO good at styling and making recommendations for similar gowns or palette cleansers. I loved all the dresses, and I walked away with 4 favorites. So. much. fun.

I went to The Dress Theory this past week and had the most relaxing experience with Val. She was a great listener and struck the perfect balance between making suggestions/pulling dresses and letting me pick what direction I wanted to go. I’m early in the planning process and at no point did I feel pressured to make decisions sooner than I was ready.

The Dress Theory is the sweetest dress shop with the kindest staff! Everyone was so welcoming. I felt confident and comfortable in every dress I tried on. Valeria was my consultant/stylist and she was so helpful! She made sure that I was able to try on every dress I was interested and never rushed me. She did not pressure me to buy any dresses, even though she knew before I did that it was my dress! They are very upfront and honest about all the pricing, so every dress I tried on was in a budget that I was comfortable with. I ended up coming back a few days after the first appointment to retry the dress and get measured. Im so happy both with the dress and with the team of people that sold me the dress.

The Dress Theory had the best selection of dresses of the places I visited, which included Anthropologies BHLDN, I Do Bridal, and Nordstrom. Unlike my experience at other locations, I did not feel rushed or pressured by staff. The setup is great, with private rooms for customers and their guests. Highly recommended.

I cannot say enough good things about this place!! I had the most magical experience here, and I wish I could relive that day over and over again.I had been to 6 bridal appointments before trying The Dress Theory. At first, the starting price for their gowns deterred me, but I soon began to discover the difference between cheap vs. high quality gowns. After six failed appointments and so many people telling me to go here, I called The Dress Theory - on my way to another appointment, actually - asking if somehow, by some miracle, they had an appointment available that day. The stars aligned, and they had had a cancellation for later that day! I was elated!!I walked in and met my bridal consultant, Rileigh, who was such a delight to work with. She offered my mother and I some champagne, asked a little about what I was looking for, and left us to settle in while she went to look for dresses. She came back with 5 gorgeous gowns. The first one I tried on was one I had requested; I had seen it on Instagram and thought it was just stunning. I walked out onto the podium and couldnt stop staring at it. It was the first dress I put on, and I never took it off. The designer, Sarah Seven, was actually there, and when she saw me in the dress, she gasped and we both started crying. Ironically, we had the same name, and this was my 7th bridal appointment! Too crazy.After six failed appointments, I was starting to think I wasnt going to get that feeling and find the one, and wanted to give up, but Im so glad I didnt. Its been a month since my appointment here, and I still tear up just thinking about how perfect everything was.From the ambiance of their beautiful space, to the kindness and warmth of the staff, to their incredibly gorgeous gowns... Tried on 3 dresses and found my dream dress. Space is very cute the staff was great. Did alterations at the shop and the ladies who helped me (they came in early for a special appointment for me) went above and beyond. Love this shop and perfect for a bride who doesnt want something super traditional though they have so many timeless peices. Highly recommend!

If you are looking for a more personal experience with stylists who can take the time to find your perfect dress this is the place for you. A more inviting atmosphere than a big box boutique, but does not sacrifice selection. I had a wonderful experience working with Val and the team.

I just ordered my dress from Dress Theory and I COULD NOT be more excited!! Val was AMAZING and stuck with me through my ever changing mind and re-visiting of the favorites. The girls here were instant friends and made me feel so beautiful in my own skin. I didnt really know what I wanted other than boho-chic and Val was able to recommend a lot of great styles for me. If you only go to one place, GO HERE, honestly, the dresses they have are beyond anything else I found, the ambiance and natural lighting made me feel at ease, and the service was incredible.

Dress Theory is the cutest little shop in Seattle, and their style of dresses perfectly go with the setting and my boho chic style. I chose the first dress I tried on at a sample sale for an amazingly discounted price. I’m so in love! The staff is very friendly and personable. Definitely recommend!

Had the BEST experience finding a dress here. I had looked at so many shops in the area and nothing compares. Very much my aesthetic and their sample sizes are not as large as other places so we were able to truly get a better fit and really see the dress. They had all the designers I had my eye on and I had to compromise nothing. I wanted vintage lace and some more fun options.The experience was fantastic and sincere. My stylist was great and super fun. She got teary when my mother and I both cried which was also sweet. Best place, best gowns, best experience around.

We had such a lovely time this afternoon at The Dress Theory! Rileigh was absolutely amazing and took such care in pulling the perfect dresses for our bride. She paired the most beautiful veils with our top favorite gowns and even took the time to put her back in the first dress for a second time! We never felt rushed or pushed and Rileigh had such a calm and kind demeanor that paired perfectly with the beautiful aesthetic of the store! Was such a lovely day and felt completely welcome through the entirety of our visit.

My whole experience at The Dress Theory has surpassed my expectations of what it means to find a wedding dress! Each appt I have had with them has been warm and magical. Rileigh, Ally, Val, and the owner each poured their whole hearts into this process with me and have done everything in their power to ensure I have the dress of my dreams (even when it seemed beyond impossible!) These girls are fairy rock star wonder women and The Dress Theory experience is solid gold!

The most confusing and annoying customer service out of all the wedding dress shop I contacted! I haven’t gotten a chance to come in here yet, but from the website it looks like this place has a lot of beautiful dresses and close to what I envision.The moment I called in, the person who picked up the call sounded not very welcoming, but I still spoke to her politely. And then comes the conversation of budget. I told them my range was in the 2k, but flexible depends on the design. She told me most dresses here are around $2,500, so I said “okay” (not that I haven’t researched their website yet prior to calling). Then she emphasized it again after that, saying they don’t want to waste my time if the budget doesn’t allow. I still acknowledged her politely.My wedding is in May, and I already told her in the very beginning of the call. I am so well aware that the timeline is tight. But after that budget talk, she made everything sound so complicated, and didn’t answer any of my questions. I asked her one question, then she would go on to talk about other things like I would have to pay rush fee, not all designer could accommodate, and then alterations not included in the dress price, and it takes 12 weeks after delivery blah blah blah.I told her I’m specifically interested in Sarah Seven dresses, then here she came again “sarah seven dresses starting at $2,500”...If I remember correctly she did mention about the price 4-5 times, and I’m not exaggerating.Nothing she said was wrong, but it didn’t feel good being treated that way. This place was on my top 3 list when I researched, but now I have no more excitement going there.

We visited 3 other bridal shops and nothing compared with our experience at Dress Theory. The dresses are unusual and beautiful. Val helped us and she was tireless. Every dress my daughter tried on she found a belt and a veil or a head band. We joked that she did not need a workout because she was running all over making sure my daughter had the best experience. She picked one final dress that we had not considered as our appointment was ending and that was the dress we chose. She did not rush us and made sure the experience was memorable.

Was offered a mimosa as part of the bridal party, then realized they had no OJ so offered champagne (at 10AM no thanks). When bride arrived she wasnt offered any. Was directed to a dressing room, then directed back out. The associate couldnt direct the flow of what should have been a fun experience and we felt drug around and shuffled as a result. She wasnt able to suggest any dresses by body type. The bride is thin with a big hind end, and was embarressed multiple times by dresses that couldnt go over her rump. She was made to feel fat when it was just her body shape. I was not impressed with the help we received.Im not sure why we are asked dress size when making an appointment when all of the dresses are average sizing and the associates cant suggest any particular ones for different body types. Boo.

It pains me to have to write this review, as I do not like putting down a business-- but I had such a bad experience here that I feel I need to share it. This has a lot less to do with the actually shop- the dresses are fantastic- but more to do with the post buying experience, the girl I was working with and in particular the seamstress and the process with her and the girl in charge of alterations.2 stars as I would recommend the store, and certain employees there such as Ryleigh were excellent! But I would advice anyone to be very careful if you choose to get your dress altered here! Bring it home first, try it on a number of times before you decide what you want done, and please dont trust them to make good decisions- be aware they are there for the money and the sales.Here is my story:When I purchased my dress, the girl helping me told me that I could do a number of very easy and inexpensive alterations to my dress, which once the dress came in and I was in the first fitting, I found out was in fact not true and she likely just told me to make a sale. (She told me I could thin out the sleeves very easily and then when the dress was in, she told me that would be a very difficult and long process and it might not turn out- so I decided against it)The dress actually fit perfectly- looking back now, it didnt need any alterations, but they got to work trying to fix the cup part/sleeve. I told them not to touch the sleeves as leave as is, but the next time I came in to try on the dress, they were clearly altered. They were shorter, and now every time I try on the dress, I feel stuck because they shortened the sleeves- She didnt measure me properly.Both her and seamstress were not helpful in actually fitting me at ALL - (ie. asked me to walk around for the length but didnt even look to see where the dress was falling as I walked- I wasnt sure I needed it hemmed and they didnt give me any advice).They also then lied about what the base amount for alterations is. I had very basic alteration done to the dress (I really wish I hadnt let them touch it!!) and they charged me $600- telling me that their base price was $550. I complained finally as its posted on their website the base price is $300 and they gave me a bit of a refund- but Im still upset that she lied to me.My wedding is in a week and every time I try on the dress I am so frustrated with the sleeves and how it no longer fits when it was perfect the first time- I am getting married out of town so I cant go back to get it changed.

Wonderful experience! The collection of dresses is exquisite. All the ladies are wonderful!!! Shopping here was absolutely fun and successful!
