Had my 2014 base model Subaru Forester upgraded with a Android Auto/Car Play receiver, backup camera, and two new front speakers and interior detailing. Kobe was extremely helpful in selecting the right products (middle of the road quality) for me and my particular needs. The shop kept me informed when they had to make changes such as upgrading the unit free of charge because the cheaper model was out of stock.Not the cheapest but they take care of you. Highly recommend the folks at Car Toys for an honest, smooth experience.

You should NOT call the Groupon a Detail if all it is is a vacuum and window clean. This is very deceptive, and leaves the customer feeling like it was all a scam for an up sell. Worst experience ever. If I can give a negative star, I would do it. All I need is to install the dash camera on my 2015 Volvo S60, thats it. Here is the story of mine.1. Low efficiency. I scheduled the time to start installation at 10am, and I arrived on time. The front desk told me the ETA to pick up the car is 3pm. I called them at 3pm, they said it needs more hours, probably 5pm. When I called them at 5pm, they said it wont be finished today, next day noon will be done for sure.Next day I went to store at 3:30pm to pick up my car, it was still NOT DONE yet! At then end I picked up my car around 5:30pm, the entire installation is over 24 hours, the point is their ETA cant be trusted!2. Low quality of product.In the beginning, I went to store to ask if they are able to install dash camera to my car, they said volvo is a brand with complicated structure. Therefore, they recommend me to buy a dash cam in their store, that one will work for sure. So I purchased a $199 dash cam, it is GARBAGE!This dash camera cant be turned on no matter how I pressed the power button, the car was turned on btw. It was installed not even 30 days yet.I spend over $600 in total to install a dash camera, this is what I got. Waste a lot of money and time with this store, all I feel is they are LIARS.

Watch out for “SNAP FINANCE”. Car toys will offer you a loan thru them. They tried to double charge me 1700 because they miscalculated, off by one cent. 😡 they knew what they were doing.

I went to Car Toys because I had just had My door replaced from an accident, but one of My front door speakers wasnt working right, Your staff got Me in, found the problem, a wire was not plugged back in to the speaker. The staff was friendly and found the problem quickly and fixed it! I was told not to go to Your store because it was overpriced, I was happy to pay for the quick and friendly service I received!

Let’s put it this way. If you want an itemized list of the labor they are going to charge you and the items they are selling you, you have to ‘put money down first’Labor pricing is also really subjective and inflated.Not a personalized experience either.Went to Best Buy and was quoted the same parts for $400 less in labor. Out the door 1/2 the cost of Seattle Cartoys.Really poor experience. Shop around somewhere with honest pricing.

Purchased extra security for my car and when I came in for the install they were extremely helpful, professional, and the price was reasonable. When I needed to remove it, Richie removed the alarm for the price of one hour of labor. Richie also reset my passenger window so that it worked free of charge and gave me a new kit of wires to be able to install the alarm in another car. Above and beyond.

Radio was installed nicely with a minor issue that they are planning to fix. I spent about $480 to buy and install an Apple Car Play receiver and install some new door speakers I had, so it can be affordable if you do it in pieces.One big thing - installation takes times. I was there for about four hours after being told it’d take 2-3 max. I won’t knock them for it since I know it takes time to work. Still, would be nice to get more transparency on the ETA for installation since I would have ubered home.

I needed a new backup camera on my car and the wonderful workers at this location were there every step of the way. This is the best place to go get anything done to your car! I took me 2017 Mazda zx5 in for a remote start. And Eric the store manager was friendly from the get go, along with his install manager Gabe who was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Together they found the best system for my car. After hearing the ad on the radio, I went to your website to look for a remote start for my car. I found one for $200 with free installation, so I called to make an appointment. When I got there, I was told that I would need more than just the remote start, I would need other components as well. By the time all was said & done, it came to over $500, which I was not expecting, but since I already had my heart set on getting one, I applied for your credit to pay for it. I was approved for the credit, which was great, but I feel the advertisement was very misleading & I would never have gotten my heart set on it if the true, realistic price would have been advertised, which I guess is why you didnt do it, but still, I feel cheated some how. Anyway, Im happy with the product, just not the tactics.

Let me first off just say Thank You Ryan! Its hard these days to get good advice over the phone or even have someone willing to take that little bit of extra time to explain something to you vs the normal (Oh just bring it down). I called in with a not so simple question and with no hesitation Ryan one of the techs listen to my question, asked me a few questions to confirm what I was talking about and the products I was using. Ryan was able to explain the reasons why the specific products I was trying to make work were not compatible and the reasons why (I have a very odd MTX 0.35 OHM 10 Subwoofer and need a new amp). Now to go one step further he was able to explain what products would work better for my UTV and why I should really try and go with a complete 4 Ohm setup to help the amp not work so hard and be a drain on my UTVs system. Thank you again for taking the time.

New update: I contacted the CEO and got a refund.Update: Review changed from 3 stars to 1TL:DR version- This Remote Start System never worked properly, Locking/Unlocking the car was unreliable.- Manager admits it was the wrong system for our car- Will not stand behind their work and refund full amount.The remote start and unlock system never worked properly, at times it simply would not unlock no matter what button you pushed, eventually it would magically unlock the driver door a minute or two later, and it never did unlock the passenger door.It was simply a bad user experience.We took it back to Car Toys to get the system removed. The manager Eric told me he would have never let his guys install that system on our car because the system is designed for a much older car.Then he told me that they would not be refunding the labor, some $250 out of $456 dollars -- So he admits fault and wont make it right.Update: They showed me their labor and in house costs being another $25 so that is $275, and yet they only returned $156 -- So where is the unaccounted $25? 456-156 is 300, not 275.Previous 3 star review...Online indicates remote start is around $200. In store they quoted me over $500 and when I indicated Id walk out they lowered it about a hundred. Bait and switch like this doesnt leave me with the kind of confidence thatd make me ever return as a repeat customer.

I went into car toys for a scheduled detailing appointment at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday February 10th 2021. I was helped by the store manager Eric, who was very abrupt and condescending with the entirety of his interactions. I had scheduled a detail which he proceeded to tell me didnt cover everything that a normal detail would, when I explained to him that thats fine I just would like it to cover everything that was expressed in the terms and conditions of the coupon I bought online he stated that he was stating the terms and conditions there. When I rebuttled that I all I was expecting was the terms and conditions on the coupon to be fulfilled since Id already purchased it - he responded with thats fine but will need your car until tomorrow. Now keep in mind I scheduled this appointment a week and a half ago for 10:00 a.m. in the morning on a Wednesday, and the detailing wasnt supposed to take more than one and a half hours. When I asked him why this was the case, because when I booked the appointment they said they would only need 2 hours, and no one had informed me, he stated that they simply had rollover from the day before and that they were going to have have my car for the whole day. When I did this, he called the cops on me. Literally. I wanted a video for my record because this man was trying to rip me off and he called the police on me. I started taking a video because Ive never quite been treated like this as a customer before, I will post a link shortly. needless to say I will never be returning to car toys. Im a very understanding customer, and Ive never been treated by anyone how Ive been treated by Eric at car toys.

The package that I paid for included a hot water extract of the interior floors and it is very clear that this wasnt done. When I picked up the car, I asked the detailer about it. I said I thought the carpets were supposed to be cleaned? because you could see that they hadnt been even though the carpeting is all black. It wasnt even fully vacuumed - the seams and corners on the drivers side had crumbs or whatever still there. When I got home I spent about 15-20 minutes fixing all the little things that werent completed - I wiped the tire protectant off of the rims on the passenger side, wiped the yellow foam protectant from inside the door jamb on the passenger side, took a microfiber cloth to all of the seams in the seats and carpets to get out the remaining crumbs... detail stuff. And its the details that make you stand out. So I wont be back nor will I recommend them to a friend. The still dirty carpets and lack of finishing detail are not going to fly when paying $400 for a detail.

I approached this place to find out how much to install my new dashcam with the hardwire kit I would provide. Run a wire around the edge of the windshield and plug it into the fuse box under the dash. Simple, right?Car Toys estimate: $333 for the 2 1/2 hr install.A dyslexic monkey (aka my ex) could do the job in 30 minutes after downing a case. Lets face it, they were just trying to take advantage of the lady who obviously doesnt know anything.AVOID THESE SCAMMERS.

Had my front 2 windows tinted with this car toys off of aurora. They did an awesome job and were able to work me in even though there was some confusion on the appointment time and didn’t for a second make me feel unwelcome. Nate was great at updating me with when my truck would be finished. Comfortable waiting room with tv, and every person working there was professional and friendly, as well as helpful! Will definitely go back if there’s a service I need that they can do for me. :)

Avoid at all costs. They are slimy sales people. The stereotype of used cars salesmen, yeah they fit that perfectly. They sell you warranties without asking and try not to give you the receipt so you’d never know. Oh and just to add to it, the speaker they sold didn’t even fit in the car. Try Best Buy instead, they’ll even install your new gear for free.

Horrible service, paid $300 for my car to get detailed inside and car was not clean, all over you can tell that is was only spot cleaned and vacuumed, I could have done that, they just sprayed air freshener. Not coming here again and not recommending to any one.

Caution Watch for added charges!! Dont go here. They seem to be trying to play you the whole time. Added two extended warranties without telling me and then tried to skip handing me the receipt so that I wouldnt catch on. Guy says...I always add the warranties...Why did I let this happen? We were returning one item and getting another plus service. They said it needed to be two separate transactions. After the service was done we needed to pickup our gear. However when they handed over the new stero, they didnt give us a receipt. I asked for the receipt and could now see that they had added in two four year warranties without asking us. After we got home we realize that the speakers they sold us wouldnt actually fit in the car despite their looking at the car. We then realized that the stereo that they said was cheaper than the one we requested was actually the same price and $20 more than on their own web site. Overall, a low low quality operation, just trying to take your money.

I scheduled my appointment over a week in advance. I had a tint appointment at another shop but your representative told me car toys could do that the same day. So I canceled the original tint appt and I dropped my car off the night before my car toys appt so my car could be at the shop all day to get tint and new stereo. Midway thru the day I was called and asked if I wanted a $100 detail. I agreed. I was called back and informed the car needed to be kept overnight due to the detail. I said no thank you, don’t detail it. The rep said how about we just vacuum and it would be done same day and I could get the shampoo at a later time. At 6:30 PM I got a call and was told none of the original work was done on my car. Only the detail, which wasn’t scheduled. I went to get my car and I setup a new appointment, I asked the rep if I could get the shampoo if I drop it off the night before the new appt, he said that would be $65 extra and told me I was dumb basically for not knowing that was extra, even though no price other than $100 was mentioned to me ever. He was very rude to me even though he just had my car for 24 hours and did nothing to it. The work still hasn’t been done, hopefully it works it out. Not too thrilled to say the least.

When I initially wanted to have my vehicle touched up, corrected, and washed, I couldnt think of any good places that would do a proper job anymore. One detailer I went to messed up so bad, and another met halfway, but it wasnt what I wanted. After a few months, I decided to try and look for a detailer one last time. Thats when I heard there was auto detailing at CAR TOYS and after reading various positive comments and visuals I certainly had to try. At the Aurora location staff were attentive, vigilant, professional, and caring towards me. With a smidge of confidence I dropped my car off and in three days it was completed. They didnt just detail my car - they utilized multiple products and steps to ensure the vehicle was like new again. Hazes are gone, swirl marks are gone, paint is corrected, and everything looks shiny and amazing. I heard detailers spent one day applying two steps buffing out my car and they had done a very terrific job. I was super impressed with the results (third times the charm, right?) that I will definitely return and encourage all folks looking for auto detailing to check CAR TOYS out because these folks will not let you down and are very friendly.

EDIT: review was updated to two stars. The store manager did help me get a subwoofer that works and fits in my car with little modification. But this should have happened yesterday. And the stereo still has not been tuned correctly. And the attitude when i came back to ask for a fix was still no more than a two star customer service. He tried to put words in my mouth telling me he thinks I was having buyers remource. I went to the lynnwood store after this experience and they were gracious and offered to look over the install and what was ordered to ensure I got a car toys quality install. Which I appreciate by the lynnwood team.I gave him the opportunity to build me a package, and walk out with it installed that day. Well, after being promised a 5-6 hour install, I was called after six hours asking if I still wanted my old speakers. I said yes. I was then given a story that I would be charged $125 to build custom frames to fit or use my old speakers instead. I said Okay, cut out the frame from the old speakers.I get a call two hours later, after the whole installation is done telling me the subwoofer wont fit.I was called and made aware my vehicle would be ready in 40 minutes, I came 1 hour later only to find my car still needed one more hour. This was their excuse to rack up installation charges.When I realized I had not received my invoice, I asked for that. And the manager on call (not Eric the manager who sold me the setup) proceeded to move numbers around and printed my invoice and then proceeded to give me a discounted refund for my subwoofer.When I looked at my invoice, they had charged me 2x the install listed on their website. And there were no discounts on any of the equipment.When I drove away, the sound is fuzzy, no better than the stock Toyota stereo. I will be filing consumer complaints with the attorney general, BBB, and find every possible way to get my old stereo back and installed and my money refunded.Do not work with car toys, and especially the so called manager Eric.

Were quoted an install window of 1-3 hours. When we arrived to pick the car up 6 hours later, it had not been touched. No calls with updates or a new time estimate were provided. This is our second experience of this nature with your shop. Unfortunately, twice burned. Wont be shopping at Car Toys any longer for future needs. Theyve worked on many of the cars weve owned over the years and are amazing. we had a small issue with a stereo they put in last year and brought the truck in today. They took the deck out, tested the wires and did a few hours of diagnosis, all at no cost, to make things right for me. I love this kind of customer service and continued commitment to customer success. This is the kind of service that wins long term fans and keeps customers loyal to them. I am bringing our new car to them to put in new systems. They deserve the business and am thankful that the relationships with their customers matter to them. Had a new sound system installed in my Subaru wagon. This is the best sound system Ive ever experienced along with the shopping process. Nathaniel did excellent helping me pick out the best door speakers, sub, amp, and deck for high fidelity sound. The install was executed with quality with them even adding tweeter speakers, thanks Jordan! Im super stoked overall and would highly suggest this location to everyone! Thank you Car Toys!

Id say the staff has been friendly and attentive 40% of the time Ive been here when they have noticed me. More often they are busy chatting with each other. However, the time I did get good service I made a purchase and they installed it right away and it was done correctly.

First thing you notice when you come in. The people are so nice and make sure you get what you came for. I didnt have alot of upfront cash but I got financed for $1300+ bad credit and all. I planed to upgrade my audio system to KENWOOD or Pioneer models. The Professional young man in shoreline Car Toys store recommended KENWOOD for me after I explained my requirement. Although there was a small mistake and misunderstanding but they provided a competitive offer and handled it very well. The price there is the same as amazon but they provide free installation for some models. Good experience. Nice place to go if you are planning to upgrade your vehicle entertainment system. You can easily find what you need there because they provide all Top brands like jvc, pioneer, Sony, KENWOOD, alpine, Bose and more.

I had an appointment at the Aurora Car Toys on 06/07/2020 at 10 a.m.Apparently I was a minute or two early. My watch said 10:01 a.m.The door was open and the security gate pushed to the side. The first employee I encountered was polite and said give me a minute my computer isnt up yet. Okay. Some other guy hollered out Hey, were not open yet wait outside. If the customer service starts out bad its been my experience the whole appointment is a wash. I cancelled my appointment on the spot. In the grand scheme of things Aurora Car Toys loses the piddly amount of a dash cam and install. My time is important to me and I didnt make the drive to Car Toys just for a sightseeing trip. My takeaway was priceless and I will never visit another Car Toys location again.

Living in Seattle had a need to up grade to the newest car alarm to protect my vehicle. After getting my truck broken into and over $1000 lost in tools I realised the police will do nothing in assisting me or offer any kind of help. So car toys showed me the newest alarm that will send a notice to my phone anytime someone get near my truck. This is great!!! Not only will I be alerted but will see video of the ones attempting to break into my truck.

Wow back in the days this use to be my go to car toys, 1st big project install paid 25000,2nd install paid 22000 and referred people to this location when we could have went to the Tukwila car toys that is a 5 minutes drive from my house, instead I went to the Aurora car toys where I was comfortable with since I did lots of business with this location it has been around 5 years that Ive had bought anything from there, and went in to buy a alarm for my work truck and wanted to add horn honk to my alarm on my old 1996 Chevrolet pickup my appointment was Saturday at 10:00 and I dropped it off a day earlier Friday at 4:30 pm came back Saturday at closing time and alarm light not hooked up and no horn honk, so had to schedule to come back Thursday 12:00 and guess what alarm was completed at 7:00 pm almost a 20 hour install on my alarm, my truck sat all day to get my alarm light hooked up a they told me I should go to another location for horn honk because I started recording for YouTube review, THIS CARTOYS CUSTOMER SERVICE STINK MORE THAN HOOKERS ON AURORA DANCING IN THE HOT SUN.

They don’t even tell you the truth about what’s goin on on your car, all they want you from you is spend a money and go with terrible service the crazy part is they steal a pack of my face mask from back of my car so before you go to this location please think twice.
