This Sears was one of the nicest. Now Illinois has no more Sears or Kmarts left. It was great while it lasted. Very curious to see what will go into the Sears building when it becomes vacant. The Mall is beautiful and spacious. Good Bye Sears! This iconic store is ironically closing before the big Holiday Season which I feel they should of held off till 2022.

Weird to be in a Sears in 2021, even weirder with such a huge space and so little merchandise. The merchandise on hand does seem like decent quality too. If this was any other store it would probably be a 3/5 but knowing it sears and the nostalgia associated with it, it gets an extra star.

It is very cool to see a Sears open nowadays. It is not as grand and as great as the good old days, but they did have some stuff. The store was SO OPEN. They really spread there stock thin to fill all the floor space. They had some good work clothes and good work shoes, but thats it. I didnt go through the whole store because it just so big, but it looked like they had a big tool selection. The staff were very helpful and nice. They did have good deals. Going to this Sears is very bittersweet. I remember the Sears being stocked to the ceiling with everything that you needed. Now its just a shell of its former self. Overall, this was a nice walk through memory lane.

Just this week, last Sears in their Home State (Illinois) where they started is closing (Woodfield Mall Schaumburg, IL).Sad to see them go. Selections have dried up over the last year. Mostly has been empty. When your CEO guts your company to buy it at a discount for his hedge fund... ...this happens.Used to buy my tools from here, but over the last year they stopped honoring the broken tool trade in. So sad to see Craftsman was sold to a Chinese producer and those went to sh... at one time they were one of the go to places for Christmas. Last year 2020, it was clear they were gonna go out of business. Now, it is openly advertised. Sad.

This Sears store is a must if you have jewelry or watches that need to be repaired. Never had a problem with getting my watches repaired or jewelry. Great customer service as well; they always explained the issues before they fixed my watches or jewelry. My whole family have been going to our local Sears for more than 45 years. We love our Kenmore new appliances from Sears too and the auto center is just as good, all our vehicles have been smog and regular oil & tire changes while shopping in the store. Sears has never ever ripped us off either because we know the employees and they know us too.

Worst experience ever. Took my mother to get her a new washing machine about a month ago. Spent more than wanted but decided on Sears because the sales associate, Vanessa, told us we’d get fast delivery since it was the floor model. Once checking out we were notified that it would take a week…a little annoying but fine we’ll take it. About 4 days before delivery date I begin to get text messages everyday counting down until the scheduled delivery time. That same morning I get a call saying it was canceled. I call customer service and no one can tell me anything. I then call the store and no one can tell me anything either. I finally get notified that my washing machine was never picked up and was sitting at the store for a whole week without any notification of potential delay. Kept calling for about four days asking about the next delivery date and NO ONE could tell me anything nor call me back with updates. When I finally stop being patient and demanding answer from manager I get hung up on. Super frustrating with lack of communication and false promises. Lesson learned, never purchasing from Sears again. Especially with incompetent employee Vanessa and Manager. Don’t go into retail/sales if you have a nasty, unsympathetic attitude.

Bought me a purse & ⌚ store has a SALE!!! 10%-70% off the whole store, it will be closing down soon. ALL SALES ARE FINAL!!! So, the fitting rooms are close, they have few items left. No returns or exchange.

We went on May 24th to buy a stove for 1,112 dollars which was planned to arrive at the end of the week by delivery. However 2 days later on the 26th we cancelled the order because since the mall is 2 hours away from where we live we thought that if there was a problem with the stove it would be too far away to report it and get help. The person on the phone sounded very mad and kept cutting us off and sighing in the phone call. However they still said that we would receive a check in the mail as a refund in AT MOST 2 weeks. Welp we waited and waited and still never got a refund. After many calls and 2 visit to the Sears store we havent got a refund. They gave us many answers saying that they delivered it to another address on accident but after searching the address up that address dosent even exist (EVEN THE LADY ON THE PHONE SAID THAT THE ADTESS DOSENT EXIST), that the post office was running behind, that we had already gotten the check, bla bla bla. DO NOT GO. THESE ARE SCAMMERS HIDDEN IN PLAIN SIGHT. IF YOU DONT WANT TO RISK YOUR MONEY DO NOT GO.

This store chain has gone down hill tremendously. I went to purchase a dryer and half were out of stock and the delivery is not until 2 weeks from now. This is probably the last purchase Ill make here and will look elsewhere for appliances where I can get free delivery or next day delivery in the future. No wonder theyre disappearing.

I will miss Sears. This is the last location in Illinois. Sears has been a party of me since the 1970s. Too bad a nice a nice store like Sears has to all close....

I love Sears! Such a great selection of appliances. Looking for an stove on this trip. Lots great deals for Labor day. 40% off plus additional discounts on top of the 40%. Ended up buying a Samsung 5 burner stove for just $581 including delivery and installation. How can you go wrong?

This Sears is best service, best price and price that gives you a smile. Im glad I choose Sears because I know get value whatever I buy at my Sears store. I recommend everybody to shop at Sears. Keep the store open we need you Sears.

Sears just went bankrupt in Canada and I think its future in the US is also very fragile.I wish all its employees all the best however......If they are serious about staying relevant, they must improve in every department

Terrible communication!!!! Claim that I was notified by text THAT WAS A LIE. changed my delivery date to entire month later. You got to joking right! And will give $100 if I dont cancel my order. Too late. I rearranged my day and removed my mattress and I DID NOT GET A NOTIFICATION THE DAY BEFORE DELIVERY. WHAT HAPPENED TO SEARS? ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SERVICE. NEVER AGAIN.

Figured I would take one last stroll in Sears. Sad to see the place is empty and they try to keep product on the sales floor bit you see huge open spaces. Ended up getting some Dockers and a shirt at a great price.

I ordered a dryer a month ago. It was supposed to be delivered. The dryer we purchased was already in the store. The first cancelation no one called. Second cancelation was because of the rain also no call. Third cancelation, no call. I called the store and the man who sold me the dryer saud it is on back order because they are waiting for chip. I informed him that the dryer was in the back and was supposed to be delivered weeks ago. His response was, Oh, I dont know then!. He was so rude! We ended up asking for our money back. We went to lowes and got our dryer with FREE DELIVERY. Every time I called they would give me the run around. Never apologized! We are done with Sears for good and also told the neighbors, family and friends to never give them business again.

Its sad to see this Icon close its doors in Illinois. My mother put all our clothes on layaway every year for school and she paid $5 a week till school started so we had new clothes for School. Im sad to see it go!!!

I used to go to the Sears in the Louie Joliet Mall in Joliet Illinois. During that day and time the service was great. Everybody was always so helpful. The service was so good. Once the hedge fund broker took control. I saw things change fast. And I didnt like what I was seeing. It seems like from that time forward. The company has simply gone downhill. Sorry to say that. The store was once Americas store. It was a great place to shop. I typically used to buy anything and everything at Sears with the exception of groceries. Boots close tools you name it. Not anymore. Its too bad. The company was once truly a great business very very professionally well run. It said to see what has happened. Sears has been run into the ground.

This store almost always has a shortage of employees. The store is usually well-organized, but it can take a long time to find someone to assist you/get assistance. Many of the items have low quantities and limited sizes.

Ordered appliances and they outsource the delivery. It has been over 2 months and I still do not have my order and I do not have a date scheduled because there is no communication between the companies. I have called and messaged multiple times and no one can help me schedule my delivery.

Needed a refrigerator because my old one went bad. Bought it on Friday February 5, picked it up on Saturday February 6 because they wouldnt deliver it until March 5. What the hell, I needed it asap. I have a hernia, thats why I wanted it delivered. May need to find a new place to buy my appliances.

I dont think the A/C was working and store smelled funny. The few staff members you could find tried to help but they were clearly understaffed. Products and organization was barely okay.

They dont have no tools they dont have no clothes they dont have no inventory they have nothing close your doorsI went back to Sears on November 23rd to look for tools and still sears has no tools whatsoever all the way down to the bear walls I went to go ask the cashier who was a Spanish man and he had a line from the hardware department all the way down to mens clothing he was taking his sweet time taking care of their customers very lazy only one person running that department shame on sears you need better people in that department also the auto center has no tires for many cars whats going on seriously

Just dont. Really, just dont. Especially if youre buying craftsman tools. Ive purchased many tools over the years from Sears including multiple Mechanics sets and torque wrenches.Ive all been stored in the same area in my garage, in their plastic cases.Recently I noticed that one of them had begun to rust badly and some sockets, I had rust where the sizing stamp was. Coincidentally its the newest set I had purchased too! Since Craftsman offers a lifetime warranty, I decided to take it into the Woodfield location.Lo and behold, rust is not covered. I explained my situation where I had older craftsman sets in the same location and none of them exhibited rust like this one does. They proceed to provide me a number to call.Upon calling that number, I am told they have no ability to warranty these items and I need to go back to the store. Awesome!Just for reference, the Lifetime Warranty as stated on my tool set:If this craftsman hand tool ever fails to provide complete satisfaction, return it to any Sears store or other Craftsman outlet in the United States for free repair or replacement.I could drag my old and new rusted set to Sears and try again but why bother? Sears is a shell of what it was. When I buy replacement tools in the future, it will not be Craftsman.

Was looking for a certain type of vacuum cleaner unfortunately they had they didnt have the type I want so I went back to Walmart in my area and I found exactly what I wanted so he didnt turn out the store was not crowded at all at Sears.

Glad this location is still open. Hope it stays that way. Dont know anywhere else that sells outdoor life brand clothes & shoes. Walked out with a pair of work shoes for $30. Way better quality then Walmart work shoes at the same price. They have alot of sales right now.

Very disappointed with Sears and the costumers service. Ive ordered mattress on August 19th with a delivery for August 27th and it got rescheduled 12times. Customers service reasons were different each time. And it is November 10th and they are telling me that it has been canceled. This is my first time buying something from Sears and for sure the last time. Horrible experience!

It’s so sad to see a store going out of business. It’s like an abandoned store, with less to none staff working the entire floor.

Went to the Sears store in the tool department.Had the most awesome sales associate.Her name is Nancy. So friendly, so knowledgeable, saved my dad and I time and money. How lucky this Sears store is to have this employee representing the company. She is excellent at her job, truly irreplaceable.

You guys literally have no one answering the phone to help me figure out what is going on with my appliance order, I am now canceling my order. With customers service like this it is no surprise that sears is going out of business. I won’t be back. To anyone reading this thinking about purchasing ANYTHING from sears just try calling the store and see if you can even get a human on the phone, this will give you a indication of what you will be dealing with.

I purchased a floor model treadmill and they neglected to give me the key fob which is required in order to use the treadmill. I dont live close to Sears (went out of my way to get there) so I tried calling them to see how they can help. I have tried calling every department (during their open hours) and left voicemails and no one is answering their phone or calling back. I tried calling Sears corporate and they were not able to help me at all either. What kind of business is this? Do your job.

I sure do hope they turn things around. Sears has always had an array of products at reasonable prices with periodic discounts. Remember Sears was the 1st successfully mail order catalogue retailer. However their slack online can be experienced with their current ordering system and page over all, while they should be pioneering this type of service. The store is clean staff is friendly and I do love their Craftsman brand.

Place was lacking in product but we found what we went for a new Kenmore washer.
