In order to get a wireless receiver upgrade from DirecTV, my parents needed to upgrade their dish. Working on their behalf I tried to schedule this with DirecTV only to learn that the installer had mounted the dish too high and DirecTV would not work on it. I called Minnesota Electronics and spoke to one of the owners. She indicated that if my parents would switch to Dish from DirecTV they could provide wireless receivers, and that her installers would have no problem going up on a tall, steep roof to switch the satellites. I set up a time then to meet with the installers and go over the number of receivers my parents would need, confirm the address and installation time, etc. only to learn that the current DirecTV satellite was, in fact, mounted too high for them to remove and replace with a Dish version, and given the tree cover on their property there were no other options.Everyone was plenty friendly, it was just an annoying waste of my time for the owner to tell me one thing and then to come in for the consultation and have the technician/installer tell me something else.
