I’m giving 5 stars simply because James the guy who helped m even at the auto service center at santee Walmart. Was very kind, friendly, helpful and professional. He made me feel welcome. He made the experience a good experience. Usually when come here (or anywhere) people who work there seem unhappy like they don’t care and have bad additudes. Thank you James.

I purchased 2 tires from Walmart and had them installed at this location. Took about about 2 hours with an appointment and went smoothly. After having them from 6,000 miles, I needed to get them rotated, so I returned to Walmart expecting the same level of service. I called first and asked if I could schedule an appointment and they said no. That being the case, I showed up 30 minutes before opening so I could be one of the first cars to be serviced. Waited 45 minutes until I was checked in, and I was told the car behind me had an appointment for tires, so he would be going in first. They said it was going to be 4 HOURS to rotate and rebalance the tires. That kind of treatment is totally unacceptable. I drove 30 minutes to get there, waited 45 minutes in line, didnt let me schedule an appointment, and someone that arrived at 8:05 was going in front of me. The situation could be easily avoided if Walmart let all their customers schedule appointments for service. Instead, they only care about new tire installs, which has the most profitability for them. If your looking for good service, go to discount tire. Ill never be getting tires at WalMart again, even if I have to pay more for it.

Three hours. That is conservatively how long it took to balance and rotate the tires on my vehicle. I was able to walk to Santee, visit several other stores, and accumulate 8,500 steps according to my fitbit. I arrived at 830 in the morning and there was one vehicle ahead of me for tires. As I sit here typing this review it is 1147 and the vehicle is almost done. The staff continuously walks around looking busy, but not completing anything. Where is the manager? How is this acceptable? I hope these wait time metrics are being captured and action is being taken.

The worst costumer service I ever had in Walmart auto center. I called to ask them info about the oil change, the guy didn’t try to help at all. I also asked him if they are open for oil change, he said yes. I told him that’s gonna take me some time to get there, he said that’s totally fine. When I finally got there, 30min driving, they told me they are not taking any more vehicles, I explained him the situation and all I heard was “Aga” . And he just left...

Came for an oil change at 11am, they told me it would take 2-3 hours. It’s currently 4:05pm and the job is still not finished. Please work on services better

My wife and I went there to get a new battery installed. After drawing up the paper work they said they would page us when done. We hung out for a few hours and grabbed a few things but had not heard from them so we went to the desk to get an update, and they said it was currently in the bay being worked on. I paid for my things and walked to the auto center only to find my car still parked where I left it. When I finally got someone to talk to me, they said it was going to be another 3 to 4 hours. No one told us it would take 5 to 9 hours to get battery installed! To make matters worse, the cars that were behind us in line were worked on first! All I needed was simply a battery installed. I will never go here again.

Came over on my day off around 12pm they said a guy called out and they are under staffed and it was gona take long or not even make it to get a oil change..now I come over 2weeks later and its 1pm and they said it was gonna take 3 to 4 hrs no thanks ..I will take my biznes some were else.

Plan for 4 hours for an oil change. Needs more staff. Better wait time estimates (I was told one hour and 30 minutes). And a waiting time estimate update wouldve been appreciated.

Staff is hard working and they always keep positive. Always alot of cars for oil changes best deal in town. Takes some time but if your going to shop there anyways might as well get er done!

Made an appointment on Sunday 10am to change tires on my SUV. They took me right on time, price was good, stuff was very friendly, took about 30-40 min. Surprisingly good :)

Ive always had good experiences here, good honest employees who do a great job. Adrian has always answered my questions very patiently (I always have many), is very friendly and helpful, and really understands cars. More recently I received an oil change from them where something went wrong (unsure if it was on their end or if something in my car broke and caused a leak, but I ended up with no oil in my engine) and not only did they fix the problem and refill my oil for free, they paid the fee for my tow truck and gave me a ticket for a free oil change for the next time I come in, without my asking. Not once did they condescend to me or try to convince me that the issue was my fault. Special thanks to Adrian, Roger, and Kevin for amazing customer service and for going above and beyond to help me all the previous times Ive been in and this time specifically.

Worst Walmart Auto center I have ever been to to have a vehicle serviced. I was told it would take 2 hrs to put on 4 brand new tires on a 2006 GMC envoy Denali it is now three and half hours later and my truck only has two tires on it and isnt even jacked up properly. Service is slow guys are rude and get mad when asked are they done definitely never coming here again and would love. Refund if possible

Got to Walmart literally 2 minutes before the tire and lube was supposed to open and 4 vehicles were already in line. 45 minutes later were still waiting to be helped. Why would you not be more properly staffed on a weekend? Sadly the only reason I keep coming back is the price. The service is awful, but its Walmart so the standard isnt very high.Also in this day of technology, how hard is it to put your hours online if your not going to answer the phone?

Went to get my oil changed, asked for $19.88 pitcrew change got to cashier and was rung up for a standard oil change at $29.88. had to go back out to SVC writer and have him change it. Went back inside and signed work order. The SVC writer and I had spoke briefly about whether my 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage took synthetic or regular oil, I til him I wasnt sure I thought it took regular. He said he would look it up, never said anything about it being a different price. I had my 20 month old granddaughter with me in a stroller we walked to the Dollar Tree. We were waiting for it to open got a call 10 minutes later and was told my car took synthetic oil and it would be $48.00. I said no just put my car back together Ill come get it. The guy tells me well we can give you a $10 discount, I said I can take it to a certified mechanic mechanic Phantistic Auto Repair off Mast Blvd. for $30. I tell him to just forget it and Im on my way to pick up my car. I get there and the cashier says the manager wants to tt me. She comes in and explains her manuals say my car takes synthetic oil but they will do it this time for $19.88 but next time it will be $48.88. (like there will be a next time!) Then the cashier begins to go over the auto check with me and tells me my battery is testing bad, and I was 1 quart low on oil. My car only takes 3 quarts of oil and I wasnt getting any dashboard notifications, my son had just checked the dip stick when he replaced the air filter, and all was fine then. I also have the HUM app from Verizon in my car that lets me know if anything is wrong with my car, even low tire pressure, and I wasnt getting anything negative on a 2 year old battery with 42,616 miles and all new tires about 1.8 yrs. old. Im very disappointed in WalMarts inability to communicate properly to there customers. Im also disappointed that a lucritive company would need to take advantage of their customers by trying to sell them something they dont need! I was married to a mechanic for 19 years so I have a little more knowledge of what to be aware of, but what about the person that doesnt! SHAME ON YOU WALMART OF SANTEE!!!

Started off badly at Stonecrest store waited almost 2 hours to be told the compressor was broke Andre and Joe were great Kevin should have stayed home, they sent me to Santee where the work was faster thanks to Rodger

Frustrated! An oil change should not take 3 hours. Understaffed service department, maybe the reason for the slow movement of employees. If I moved that slow, Id starve. Not worth the wait.
