We owe a debt of gratitude to CircaTerra and to Mark Gallo for the careful handling of our CircaTerra purchases that we managed to lose during our visit to Santa Barbara. We thoroughly enjoyed shopping in the store and then unknowing left the bag with our purchases in CircaTerra’s nearby neighbor, Chaucer’s Bookstore. Thanks to Chaucer’s kind employees, our bag was walked back to CircaTerra where Mark cared for it until we determined what had happened. He was so gracious and helpful and mailed our purchases to us in Phoenix right away! We already loved this wonderful travel store, but now we are lifelong fans! Thank you, Mark!

Lots of variety of different things to make your trip easier, more fun and or safer.Great fun to look around. I considered buying several things, but Im traveling and the last thing I need is more stuff. Plus THE THING Im considering buying is a new suitcase which would put me over the limit of carry-ons. And I dont want to pay for a checked suitcase, especially an empty one.Staff seem very nice and helpful.

The staff is very knowledgeable. They found me a 66 inch long travel bag that is superb. Excellent for long robes and more durable than anything you can find online. It was so good, we ended up ordering two more!

I cant say enough about CircaTerra. From the moment I entered the store I was greeted by wonderful staff. Not only were they helpful but incredibly informative.I was going on a big trip to South East Asia and they helped me prepare. All of the items I purchased were light weight, durable and perfect for my backpacking trip.I definitely plan to go back to CircaTerra and I highly recommend visiting the store if you plan on going on a trip in the future.

Someone on staff told me the previous owner of Magellan purchased the retail store (maybe stores?) back from Magellan. I was told Magellan wanted to go online only so sold off their retail stores. Anyway, the store--in the same location in Loreto Plaza--is just as good or better than it was under the Magellan name. I especially like their scarfs that look great with the tops they sell. (I bought one today.) And they have picked up the Cutting Loose line. Friendly, smart staff.
