I think they are Extremely over priced on weights, in case youre shopping around

I never go to a store with the intent to linger. I always want to go in, get what I need and get out. I dont like it when an employee asks me if I need help, unless Ive asked for it. Its embarrassing to me when an employee thinks Im incapable of shopping without their assistance. One woman made me uncomfortable by asking me if I needed her assistance.

Too bad cant remember the name of the sales persons who attended me because they were very nice and patient with my return without receipt.

They had a nice selection of pellet guns but the only downside is that they dont have any live round firearms or tactical gas masks. Im in to the call of duty type deal and I like the look and feel of a gas mask and I couldnt find any at this location. Hopefully the other ones might but yeah Im overall satisfied with the selections and what not. Their knives are pretty decent too.

The manager there was so dumb. The cashier seemed to know more than him. The guy assisting us was paranoid about the virus because he told me to keep or put my mask on. I had briefly put it down to my chin to breathe because I have panic attacks and I cant breathe with the mask on and I thought no big deal since no one was in sight.

Its hard to purchase what you need when, some employees are too busy doing their own thing. To help out the customer.

I went there for another pocket knife to replace the one I lost. The gentleman behind the counter was very helpful and I upgraded to Kershaw with a screwdriver attachment. I also priced out some stuff for a later purchase and he was equally helpful. Quality customer service is become harder to come by these days. Well done.

Always liked Big 5. They seem to have what I want. Take advantage of the almost continuous sales and mark downs. Staff always helpful, generally knowledgeable. Returns or defective items taken back and replaced.

Asked the manager for a .44 spcl ammo round and he gave me a .44mag round. After spending 100$ I discovered his mistake then asked for my money back and he pointed to the no money back guarantee sign. This is pretty petty because all other stores would do the simple transaction back that is only fair!

Store return policy on AMMO is not disclosed on line or on receipt. It is LOOKED FOR. Pulled out of from behind one of the cash registers once I was asking on seeing where it said I couldnt return any ammo, because online didnt say otherwise.The bright one there told me, YOU SHOULDNT TRUST WHAT POLICY SAYS ONLINE... LMAO.... this day in age, people go to the internet to verify when in doubt. LESSON LEARNED AND IM PASSING IT ON. DO NOT BUY AMMO IF IN DOUBT OF AMOUNT, SIZE OR CALIBER. in my case I bought an excessive amount.

My experience finding hiking and biking gear has been disappointing. The Santa Ana store had some stuff for bikes and some stuff for hiking, but not anything I needed. I get the impression that this chain stocks all sporting goods that move quickly.So, in summary, it covers a wide variety of sports, but not very deeply.

I been buying hunting stuff in this place for the pass 7 years and everything just excellent and the crew..just awesome all the time with a smile on their face 👍👍👍!!

Shame there is no 0 stars. This location has over priced products that are cheaper next door at Target for the exact same product. They were understaffed, the manager didnt even know where employees were to get them to assist folks on the floor. Worst of all, they have an ant infestation and they are covering the products. Who wants to go there and try on shoes and clothes covered in ants. Save yourself the trouble, go somewhere else. This day 22nd of June, 2016.
