I have been using West Bay Bavarian for the last 3 years for my 2013 BMW Z4.like many of us who have been scalped by the dealer, it is so refreshing to find the same, if not more, expertise for BMWs.This visit I needed my Right Daytime Running light fixed and just called in to see if they could perform the diagnostic. They did without hesitation, found the problem. As it was only a 5 minute task they only charged for the part (I checked online later and they charged me less for the same part than the dealer would have done) and not for labor.Imagine if I had gone to the dealer?; it woudl have been $250 to walk in for the diagnostic, then probably a 1 hour minimum labor for the 5 minute repair and at their convenience not mine.Every interaction I have had with West Bay Bavarian has been perfect (service/oil change/new ignition coils/engine diagnostics/new alloy wheel/ etc...). Always quick, friendly, available, honest and reasonable.I will never go anywhere else for my BMW and I am so glad to have found them

Thank you West Bay Bavarian for a complex job very well done! After taking my 2013 M3 in for a check engine light, and the belief that it was a relatively minor sensor failure and replacement, I received a bad news call from John Ryan telling me that as they removed the air intake from the top of the engine, they discovered extensive rodent damage to the primary wiring harness for the engine and ECU as well as massive destruction of the firewall insulation. This was going to be a complex and expensive repair job and I braced myself for the worst. Fortunately, I had experienced a much more minor rodent damage issue 2 years ago and knew that it would be covered under the comprehensive component of my insurance policy. Big, bad and ugly is all you can say as the extent of the damage and therefore the work required to restore the car to as new. The biggest challenge we faced was working with my insurance company on the estimation and approvals process and West Bay was great interfacing with the third party adjusters...at least 4 times increasing the scope of the authorized work as additional damage and repairs were discovered. All told, we ended up with about $9,500 in insurance company covered repairs. West Bay was fantastic in reporting progress on work with the insurance company and work on the car. It took about a month through the process from start to getting my car back....but its in great shape and running perfectly! We thought this was going to be an engine & transmission out project in order to get to tall the damage pieces, but West Bay took the slower and more painstaking path of systematically removing sub-components to gain access to the areas of work and were able to replace the firewall insulation and both primary and secondary wiring harnesses without moving or removing either the engine or transmission...which is a huge plus. Along the way, since some much of the engine was exposed, they also took care of a few other items discovered as it would be most efficient and least costly to do so now...m and they managed to do all of it within the agreed repair estimate with my insurance company. I cant say enough about the fantastic performance of John Ryan, John Bottari, Darryl and Nanette in taking the best care possible of my M3 and returning it to me in better condition than it was in before the rodent attack!

Ive brought my Mini here a number of times, with excellent results. They have provided quality and honest service of the vehicle. Prices for services have been within reason, unlike the high costs of a dealership. Staff have been friendly and communicated well. If you have a Mini or BMW, I recommend checking them out.

After dealing with marginal service by the local BMW dealer during and after the warranty period, it was time for change. This was my first visit to West Bay Bavarian, after checking out the other independent BMW service shops, I’m really glad I came to West Bay. John Ryan, Operations Manager, is very knowledgeable and helpful, and after reviewing my car’s service history and mileage, was able to recommend the services needed. They also reviewed a recent Che k Engine Light fault which was an anomaly and nothing to worry about...phew! They did proper inspection of the car, noted worn rear tires on the inside that will need replacement in a few thousand miles, and also noted my battery was only charging at 38% capacity. They changed the battery, did the required oil & brake fluid service, and I was put the door the same day with a very fair and reasonable bill. Next up, replacement of the failed BMW high performance exhaust that the dealer didn’t bother to notice the two inch diameter hole in one side and cracked metal in the other. I discovered it after being bothered by abnormal droning but unfortunately after the warranty expired...a $3000+ expense that should have been avoided if the dealer had been doing their job and found it while under warranty. John’s team will be replacing that expense piece of junk with a new Dinan free flow exhaust, and I’m excited to get that on and replace that annoying drone with a proper performance exhaust sound. I’m very pleased to be working with these guys and top marks are in order.

West Bay Bavarian has been servicing my 2009 BMW 335i since I bought it three years ago, when they reprogrammed the car initially with a Dinan Stage 1 Performance Tuner. The car is a joy to drive. Most recently, West Bay replaced a failed battery and installed a new valve cover and gasket set to replace the original components. They saved me thousands of dollars over what that would have cost at the local BMW dealership. Thanks to Service Manager John Ryan and West Bays Business Office Manager Nan for their exemplary customer service.
