Havent been out to this Home Depot in a while. It was clean well organized pretty well stocked and the clearance rack had a lot of the things I was looking for today so that was a win. They have plexiglass barriers at checkout and they have an associate at checkout to help get you through the lines in the most efficient way.Masks and social distancing are still required.I also received some excellent customer service in the plumbing pipe fittings and PVC areas.Great day at Home Depot!

So I have been coming to this Home Depot since 20 years ago 🤦🏽‍♀️I love it here ! Everyone is so nice and the store is always organized and well presented. Rafael is the best !!! He is always so helpful and so happy and willing to assist ! I came to get some flowers and some closet stuff and he helped me ❤️❤️❤️❤️Definitely recommend coming here !

Staff is great and got everything I wanted

If I was only reviewing the garden department they would have five solid stars. They are so helpful in the garden department every single time I go there. The lumber department is an entirely different story. I needed some direction I didnt know what I should use as an undersurface to cut something with a circular saw. I had never cut anything with a circular saw so I needed a little bit of input.The the kid did as little as he could to help me and then after sending me on a long goose chase or something that didnt even exist in the store he told me I would need a 2x4 for the saw horses that I was purchasing. So I found a piece of lumber in the 70% off bin and I had him cut it in half. As it turned out it was a 1x4 I cant and use it. He knew I had a 1x4 and I needed a 2x4. He was just ignorant and he really is not an asset to any company. Hes just a little snot. Normally I have really good service at this Home Depot and I go here over all others hardware/gone improvement stores, but Im going to start driving over to Lowes because this was a really bad experience and it set my project back. I wasnt really at all impressed with this kid. He was just like I said a little snot. (It was this past Sunday late afternoon in case Lowes I mean Home Depot reads this.)

It was a In store pickup. The visit was a good one, my product came in as expected. Customer service at the counter was excellent.

I honestly dislike going to this home depot and its only based on an experience that I had now over a year ago that they still have not fixed. My blinds I had them installed by them and they never finished the work and they never came back. As you can see this one doesnt have the cover and all of the blinds are missing the sides. And one of the blinds is already broken. Im serious I LOVE Home Depot but this one is horrible. I tried many times to speak to the manager while this was all still fresh and she never called me back or wanted to speak to me.

This particular store just happens to be one of my favorite locations. Its located on San Marcos Blvd in the same lot as Mc Donalds. I love it because theyre literally 4-5 minutes from my house. Since I have been doing some home and vehicle improvement projects, it has been a great shopping experience. From hinges to the clear plastic that I have used as a main product for a new invention of mine. They have never let me down and is always fully stocked. The staff from the home appliance to the check out staff, they all have been trained very well. So, if youre in the San Marcos area and are in need of some tools, or anything to help your home improvement projects, I strongly recommend that you go there and Im sure that someone will be able to help you find what you need. Great job everyone who works here... 5 stars

Awful experience trying to checkout from garden center. Item wouldn’t scan and offer no solution. Last thing they wanted to do was help a customer.

They have some great sales on flowers and potted plants right now! Everybody in there is always so friendly.

Clean store, associates were mostly masked, half the customers were not. Im trying to understand why customers are allowed to bring their dogs into the store. I love dogs, but the hardware store isnt the place for them, particularly when they relieve themselves and their owners ignore it. Checkout was quick.

I really like home depot my husband is a handy man so he always looking for tools and it gets really expensive but with Home Depot we can save lots of money and time we also recently had lots of remodeling and Home Depot helped us save 1,000s of dollars but the best part was the costumer service especially the store manager Lisa Lucero she is really nice and when you say “ The customer is always right “ she is the best person talk to and when you talk to any employee they always treat you like family and they always help out

Its your Home Depot. They have most of what you need in stock and if its prepackaged, your good to go. If you need anything custom, like keys made or getting a length of chain cut, it is difficult finding help. In this visit, I heard 3 pages for help on aisle 22 and after 10 minutes, I gave up and went elsewhere.

IGNORANT bunch of ignorant employees.Please fix that. We need help and no one could tell me what the piece from a DeWalt Compressor was. Very disappointed!!!

The good rented a van. Good service. The bad the cab was filthy. I could write my name on the dash board. Floor sand,gravel, leaves and paper trash.

For me, the location is convenient, and usually the home depot has what Im looking for, so this is a go-to for me. Went for 3 things: have keys copied, halogen replacement bulbs and a propane tank refill adapter, that adapts the larger grill size tanks to the smaller 1lb Coleman tanks and enables you to refill the small ones from the larger one. They had a solid bulb selection, found what I needed right away. I was really impressed with the key copying setup. It was very high tech. I needed 2 copies of a particular key, which they were able to cut and prepare at the same time. Very cool. A bit disappointed on the propane accessory. There were a few employees standing up front, chatting with each other. I approached 2 of them and asked about the accessory, brought it up on my phone on Home Depots website to show them they carried it, and neither employee was really willing to help. No offering to walk to the aisle they thought it might be in, to help me locate it, and no checking in their computer systems to verify stock, instead they sent me off to an aisle as a guess. I couldnt find the adapter after a good bit of looking and so I ended up ordering it on Amazon instead. It just felt like I was interrupting the employees social time and they didnt want to be bothered, even though they were standing there just chatting.Overall this is a good location and Ive had many a good experience here.

Shopping online is damn confusing, pop ups every damn time, and when we search for the year of a product you cant find it anywhere. We were about to purchase a 2012 product thats clearly outdated yet they dont specify this at all, just a quick sell. Yeah not worth it here...

It was my first time coming to this Home Depot location, but I just couldnt wait any longer to post this negative review.I simply wanted to apply for a Home Depot consumer credit card for getting the deal of $25 off on my first purchase. A young lady named Maxiana at thier customer service desk was either unwilling to assist my credit card application process or having severe comprehension disability on the following wordings posted on Home Depot website:” Get the card, Save up to $100 today† on your qualifying purchase when you open a new The Home Depot Consumer Credit Card. Coupon is not combinable with other discounts. $25 off your first purchase of $25 up to $999† OR $100 off your first purchase of $1,000 or more.† Because she kept saying You have to spend at least $1,000 for the discount!? Anyway, I reached out to another associate, Steve. Although Steves attitude wasnt very nice either, but at least he gave me the clearance for applying the credit card. At the end of the application process, Maxiana gave me another BS lying of you were not approved. However, the application status printout slip indicated needs additional information; see customer service. Unpleasant arguments resumed again until I was able to speak with the assistant manager, Marcus. When I was complaining to Marcus about how rude and dishonest Maxiana was, Steve immediately started yelling to me for trying to cover up his incompetent coworker. I was very shocked and upset about that Marcus didnt stop Steves unacceptable behavior.I was finally able to get the Home Depot card approval once they followed the procedure to call the credit card issuer, Citi bank. The customer service over the phone just needed my permission to close one of my existing Home Depot card account, because the numbers of Home Depot credit cards per person is limited at 3.Nowadays, so many consumer related service sectors are pretty much horrible. From dirty mechanics to shady contractors, they all have a common goal - Rip off their customers. Relatively speaking, retail transactions are much more simple and straightforward. Therefore, I didnt expect that I have to be on-guard for possible unfair or discriminative (Im Asian) encounter while shopping with a nationwide home improvement store.Once again, it was my worst shopping experience ever. I will definitely contact the Home Depot corporate office and post further updates later.

Ordered tile online. Free in store pick up was super easy in and put with no wait. Cant wait to put the tile in. I ordered one box to see if i liked it then ordered 8 more. Both times were super easy and convenient. Tile was online only so this was the best way to get 8 boxes

The majority od the staff was really helpful during my visit, except of one men in the carpets section. As a women, it can be intimidating to approach this places because we know it is possible that they are going to treat us like we do not know what we are doing. I asked him for pricing and he laughed at me.

This Home Depot is well organized and well staffed. Parking is a bit congested due to sharing parking and access with a McDonalds and other small businesses.

Greatest store for Home projects.

They have everything you need for house projects.

Does not stock the needed common tools for faucet repair. Sells the cartridges but not the tool to install. Waste of time. So now I’ll just order it all from Amazon if I have to wait on delivery.

Weather is the San Marcos location or the Escondido one, I am never disapointed. They hAve everything I need whenever I need it, and always have helpful staff to direct me where I need to go. While they really have no competition - they dont need it. They are the best.

Home Depot of San Marcos is always a great spot for any home improvement needs. They usually always have Im looking for and if not, a helpful team member will get it into the store for me. Also, with questions on projects, the team members are equipped with great answers and can always point me in the right direction if I need help.

My favorite high desert hardware store.

They did not deliver our washer when promised. When we went in to purchase rolling tool boxes for our employees they didnt have what we needed but said the San Marcos store did, that they had 10. When we got there we had to wait over 30 minutes for help to tell us they didnt have them and the first person who came to help was extremely rude to my husband.

Waited over 30 minutes for help in window coverings and no one ever came. Multiple employees paged customer needs assistance and told us someone was on the way. Eventually had to walk out. The store was not excessively busy or anything, something was just not organized correctly within that department.

Marcus store manager very professional and nice.

Dont mess with their home depot credit card, theyll find a way to mess you over. What they did to us was apply payments towards purchases that were made a month after our 24 month term, instead of towards their 24 month promotion, of which, they claim are prioritized before any other payments. So, theyll explain that since we had a $100 balance, left over from our 24 month no interest theyre now charging $600 in interest and fees due to us not paying off our balance in 24 months. When, in fact, we did payoff the balance in the time allotted, they just decided to apply our payment to a single $100 charge the month after, instead of the balance due; at the end of the term.Update:After discussing this with them, they reversed the charges. However, this is as dishonest as it gets and I just cant stand if this.

Shopped outside garden today, the two associates we encountered were extremely helpful with our purchase and offered to load it into our truck. After I had moved the truck to have it loaded we realized that the bike rack on the back had to be removed. Unfortunately it was bolted on and I had no tools but these two ran and got a couple of wrenches and took it off for me and proceeded to load our vehicle. I will definitely keep going there, thanks again!

As usual, be prepared. You only receive help if you have lots of time. If you are in a hurry & need some help, go to your local Ace Hardware or OSH(Outdoor Supply Hardware). The only thing I enjoy about Home Depot is the pricing. Thats it. Once in a long while an employee can be cornered & forced to answer your barrage of questions. After this, he or she will need to go on break of course!3 1/2 stars for pricing & self checkout.

I have the worst experience with this store specially with the appliances department and well as de delivery services that home depot contract as TEMCO. I order an online order on 11/13/2020 to replace the 4 appliances, the only issue we had was the dishwasher the cable was incorrect and needed the long water line they told me to reschedule and ordered through the phone and reschedule for 12/07/2020 the driver from Temco call and he said he will be in 30 minutes and they never show up. I call everywhere with no right answer and after Anahi from Temco promise that the line of water will be on the notes today 12/10/2020 the new driver came in Marlo and he did not bring what was promise... until today I do not have my dishwasher working is sitting in my living room and I am on hold for cancelation so far two hours because they keep transferring me. Home Depot you made a very unhappy client

Home Depot is my favorite home store. A great feature is that you can check stock online, and text the aisle and bin location to yourself to save time. I like the self checkout too.

The inventory looks like it is not cared for, getting answers to questions is an exercise in futility, carts with material extending into walk spaces are sitting unattended in isles, and prices seem arbitrary or not well thought out.

After we had a bad experience with Lowes and delivery.. We went to Home Depot, got great customer service from Marianna, and our appliances will be here on Sat....

We came, we found what we wanted, we bought, we left. Check out lane wasnt a very long wait.

Decent prices on a wide variety of supplies. Better for contractor/bulk prices. Staff are generally knowledgeable in there given areas.

Was not a huge fan of this location but on line it said this store had what I needed. Upon entering the store Gwen greeted me and was so kind. She assisted me right away, walked me to the item and talked to me about it. She was more then helpful and knowledgeable about the item. I will be back to this San Marcos location because of her.
