Nice market. Much like Whole Foods, except nicer..and feels more local. Produce is stunning, and they have so much variety in what they offer. Wish this store was closer to my home.

Awesome store! Great food, friendly staff and really clean. First time in, I got a sandwich from the deli. For $8.49, I got The Jordan (#10). Super tasty, soft bread, lots of meat, sauces are delicious, perfect bacon. Sandwich is enough for two people. I work up the road, and plan on coming back. Great soup, salad, and chicken wing bars. Food is ready to go in some cases, no need to wait to order.

This is the greatest for a major size grocery store! Whether you choose conventional or organic, meat, fish, or produce, its all top quality at reasonable prices. Theres no need to go to that expensive natural foods store when I can get the same things here, and have more choices. Sure, I shop the discount stores first for bargains, and Im a regular at the farmers markets, then I come here.

I was there two weeks ago and they let a woman shop in the store without a mask or a face shield. Additionally she was not social distancing. I asked her to stay away from me because she had no face covering - she told me she it is okay because she is medically exempt and that the store manager had said its okay - the staff supported this statement. They have an excellent selection of beer and a quality produce section. I like the chicken sausages they make. Overall the store is more expensive compared to other larger chains.

Deli section is legit. If they have any brisket dont question it, do it. Sashimi yes! Tri tip, ribs and cheeses are also worth a nibble.I think the rest of the store is okay, too. Im not sure.

This is one of the best bottle shops in the area. They always have the best mix of local beers and hard to find microbrews.

Went to the California fresh market in San Luis Obispo today bought a piece of carrot cake tasted a little funny looked on the underneath of the cake and it was moldy looked at the sale by date on the package and it said 6421 and of course today is 6721 didnt think Id have to look at that to see if it was fresh ate a couple pieces hope I dont get sick from it they really need to check the dates on their packaging not too happy about that

People who work in the meat department are very diligent and kind. You have hired the right people. Every time we tell them to cut things into cubes, they always do it willingly. The meat is always very fresh and I think its better than Costco. We are satisfied with the service and quality. However, the people who work at the checkout is not as nice. But because of the meat, you deserve a five star.

Got breakfast burritos which tasted like they were made yesterday and asked for salsa that I saw them pour from a Pace picante container. I major disappointment considering I worked there before and never remember the food so bad.

5 cities California fresh has a better selection across the board.

First of all, the chile relleno from here is SOOO GOOD! It’s $5 and one of my favorite quick meals to grab. It seems like they run out a lot so I always try to go grab it 11-12. I love this grocery store because 1) it’s right next to my house and 2) they have really good produce. They overcharge a bit on other stuff but for the convenience it’s somewhat worth it in my opinion. Service is pretty hit or miss, some of the workers are AMAZING and always really nice. Some of them though are pretty mean and I’ve learned whose lines to avoid. Overall, I will always come to this grocery store.

My family loves California Fresh Market. Ive heard their ad on the radio for years and now Im a frequent shopper. Some of the prices seemed originally high, but I check their ads often and honestly there have been several times I have found items at a better price here than at a bigger grocery chain.Its definitely worth the drive from North County, especially if you are looking for a high quality product. I would love to see a Fresh Market open in North County, I think the clientele in Templeton would appreciate a California fresh market.

The first thing youll notice is how clean this store is. Its also very well organized and has an excellent selection for a small supermarket. The produce section is well stocked with fresh fruits and vegetables with many, if not all, organic products available. At the back of the store is the meat and seafood department which is always immaculate.But what has really impressed me is the service. Every time I visit at least one store employee has asked me if I needed help. Although it doesnt sound like much I find its unusual in other supermarkets these days. And, if I need help, theres always a courteous and friendly employee nearby.The liquor department is as big as most liquor stores and has a great wine selection with a lot of local wines. All-in-all just a great shopping experience and I dont like to shop much.

This place is amazing. All their deli food is freshly made from scratch. Bakery items as well. I had a huge, tasty vegetarian burrito and my grandson said his burger was great. Wonderful selection, friendly staff, and surprisingly well-priced.

Great variety in what ever you need. Soda selection is amazing... but, overall everything in the store is just way over priced. I found the exact type of product I was looking for at Cal Fresh, went over to another grocery store and found it for almost $4 cheaper. The staff is friendly! I was greeted by a young man named Richard, and was helped by Tyler. They were awesome!

I love this place! Theyve got a great variety of fresh products from produce to an outstanding full service deli! Im always discovering new items that are hard to find. Theyve got their finger on the pulse for sure. I watch Food Network, Cooking Channel and an array of PBS cooking shows. I was thrilled to discover many of the hard to find products and ingredients are always available at California Fresh Mkt. Love too the array of fine cheeses and olive bar.👌

They don’t price match and they have overpriced items. Also, they won’t allow you to bring your own bag in.

Best deli in town. Hot foods or cold cuts. Store is well stocked with all of the basics, plus a lot of higher end and specialty goods, has a great meat dept and I always get surprised when I see how low the prices are during sales. Look for the sale flyers at the door.

I love having this in the neighborhood! Although some of their groceries arent the cheapest, they often have great sales that make the prices very comparable to other grocery stores. However, their hot bar and pre-made food selection is completely unrivaled. From the breakfast burritos to the sushi, to the wing bar, no other grocery store in SLO sells ready made food this delicious, with such a wide variety.

Love this place. It has a great salad bar and hot food bar. Their blue cheese dressing is the bomb! Self check out via their app, scanning your items as you buy them is awesome.

This is probably the fourth market Ive seen here in the last four years. Same everything pretty much. Its clean, comfortable and convenient. The only problems with it are that other markets nearby are cheaper and there is nothing about it that really sticks out as amazing.

I cant praise this supermarket enough. By far and away our favorite place to shop in all of SLO. Everything they do they do well. The ready to eat food is amazing. The selection of groceries is great. The beer and liquor selection is the best in town. But oh my that butcher shop. Wow. Best meat in SLO. If you dont see it they will go cut it in the back. The pre marinated stuff is superb. I really could go on but wont. They are a bit more expensive than other stores and they are the furthest grocery store from where we live. Still this is where we chose to shop.

California Fresh Market is one of the fantastic shopping experiences there is. Not only do I shop there. I eat breakfast there every weekday morning. From sushi to biscuits and gravy to steamed veggies. At a price that cant be beat. And the sushi is the best Ive had.

This area of San Luis Obispo needed a quality grocery store! Each California Fresh store that I have been to is like the old fashioned type grocery store that I remember as a kid growing up. The prices are great & the variety of unique brands are what keeps me coming back again & again!

I love this place. They have fresh hot food on the daily. When I forget my lunch for work, I go on my lunch break and pick something yummy. Sometimes I forget my lunch on purpose so I can go. 😂 Cal fresh also carry “Annie Chun’s” soups. I can’t find these anywhere else and they are soo good!!

I am a regular shopper there. Today their cashier was rude, and did not understand my concern. Their suppliers small soup lids (opaque) have a deep scoop. Please bring back the (translucent) flat lids for small soups!

All the things you love about California Fresh in SLO! Be careful you get a good quality fish/seafood, or confirm what days that stuff comes in fresh - overheard a conversation about how the fish was going bad from some of the employees. As always, just be a smart shopper.

They have good selections of natural foods, plus great prices on sale items. The only thing Im not crazy about is that with all that time the contractor spent doing the remodel, the floor is full of patches and it just looks dirty. It may be that the store wants it that way to not look expensive? Maybe Im too picky....

This place is my guilty pleasure. I love their breakfast bar and wings bar. They have a great selection of prepared foods and are way more affordable than the other health food store in the area.

A smaller version of the Pismo Cal Fresh. Staff is wonderful, great coffee and juice bar. Outside seating and a fresh sushi bar. The liquor department is a whole different room, so many craft beers!! Nick always has the best new beers coming in. Cant beat the selection.

I shop here frequently. Im often surprised by their inventory, finding things I have a hard time finding at other stores, such as kombu, Thai curry paste, Japanese curry roux, various miso pastes, etc. Staff has always been helpful and friendly. Prices are decent.

They are super high scale and have some really cool products but they are over priced and act very stuck up. They dont even carry baby formula. Which is weird. You would think that they would like to supply food for all types of customers and Im sure that people with babies other than myself have shopped there and would appreciate it being at least one option. They do however carry toddler formula. The cool thing about this particular calfresh is they have a convenience store attached to the side of it with a separate entrance.

Super clean, super friendly, and great selection for such a small store! Gourmet brands to store brand prices. It is so nice having a coffee/juice bar, fresh sushi, and deli! Makes being a busy mom easier now that they are in the neighborhood!

This market is great. Has a good mix of everyday and specialty items. Meat counter has good sales and quality product. Everyone is always cheerful and so helpful.

If you plan to get a smoothie, or something from the sushi bar plan on spending some time waiting. We were the only ones there and it took 25 minutes to ring up 3 packaged items from the sushi deli and make 2 smoothies. Another woman came to help, made one smoothie and decided to fill the plastic cup dispenser and lids before making the second one. They tasted ok, but I dont have that kind of time when stopping for a smoothie.

You can get your Skippy P-nut butter, or grind your own from fresh peanuts!And dont miss the deli with lots of great cheese, meats and pre-cooked items for a quick dinner. Their tortilla chips are the best in town too!

Very expensive for what you buy. I bought a small pack of bbq cornnuts for $4! And I once found tea that is sold at target for $3.25 for $8 here! What a rip off. It is often crowded and dark inside the store. The eerie tall aisles do not create a relaxing shopping atmosphere. At least their sushi is okay and it is close to campus.

This place is great. However, nothing compares to the one in Pismo. This one is much smaller
