Diesel engines began to be used in automobiles in the 1930s. Mainly used for commercial applications early on, they did not gain popularity for passenger travel until their development in Europe in the 1950s. After reaching a peak in popularity worldwide around 2015, in the aftermath of Dieselgate, the diesel car rapidly fell out of favor with consumers and regulators.

It does not says so but the store has been closed for the 3 times I attempted. No one inside. Probably permanently closed.

I love my Diesel Denim, they last for years and fit like the first day! Staff is always helpful in grabbing sizes and are pleasantly honest about how clothes look! Favorite place to shop in San Francisco!!

I really love to shop in Diesel, and I will definitely visit their store again because of the excellent customer service that Jesse has provided to me. He is really friendly and meticulous, he serves the clients needs with big smile. It has brighten my day. I have observed how he treats other clients as well, he meets peoples needs with strong passion. Overall, I am quite satisfy with the shopping experience in Diesel, it ends up that I have purchased one jean and a cute T-Shirt. I would rate them more than 5 stars if I could.

8:51pm on a Monday and the glass doors were locked. There were still salespeople inside but apparently didnt hear us knocking. I called the phone number and no one answered, not even a machine or an automated system. Why say the closing hour is 9 while you are going to close earlier. I can understand that from a mom&pop shop but from Diesel? Tsk tsk. We drove from the other side of the town for this store specifically and returned empty handed. Ended up buying what we wanted in Diesel Beverly Hills the weekend after.

Unfortunate, I had a bad experience. 1st. I learned that by the co. policy that they dont give any support for any of the watches. So you are sh!*T out of luck if you watch band goes bad or the watch. 2nd I bought a par of jeans @ that the store that they did not have, so they called another store for them, they said they were going to sent it to me in couple of days, yet one week no e-mail nor a call with tracking number or sign of my jeans, so I called in, pretty much they told me that they have not even placed the order, and yet no an apology whats so ever. When you spend a lot of money in a store, you expect to be treated accordingly. Sorry guys but lately you are not up to the standard that you should be!

This is probably my #2 favorite mens clothing store, next to the Saks Men on Post St.First, their employees are ridiculously polite. Its like Diesel took a bunch of Canadians and Japanese people, inter-bred them, and out came these super nice and helpful people. No overselling, friendly greeting, on the ball as far as getting dressing rooms setup and ringing you up. This generally does not extend to other Diesel locations, Ive been to locations in NY and both the Melrose and Promenade locations in LA. All of those pale in comparison to the San Francisco Union Sq location. But all the service in the world is for naught if the clothing sucks. And Diesel is awesome. I got into Diesel when I was super skinny, since clothes for skinny guys are pretty hard to come by, and sometimes tailoring wont fix all the issues. But after spending a year working out and putting on a bit of size, Diesel continues to work (albeit Im now a medium instead of small). Itll show off your body in the most flattering light, tighter in the right places (pecs, arms) and less so in the wrong ones (belly, obliques). The prices are *very* good for what you get. A stylish lambskin leather jacket at Diesel can be had for under $700 sometimes. Whereas other comparable brands will be over double that. I also find Diesel to be pretty innovative, they experiment a lot with their lines. Sometime things end up looking pretty wacky and would only work if I was starring in the sequel to Bruno. But other times its a home run. I have some pin-striped, distressed black/grey jeans which are awesome and Ive never seen another line do anything like that. Same with a sport coat that has a slightly industrial look, without going to All Saints levels. They have less insane stuff too, if youre just graduating from Express or Macys, you dont need to get the pink spandex with gold baubles to start. Thats only for us advanced folk. :) They have very well fitted v-necks, dress shirts, jeans and so forth. Despite having tried True Religion, AG, 7 for All Mankind, J-Brand and numerous other jeans, I *always* come back to Diesel. They frequently have the most artistic and eye-catching designs, without making me look like I just stepped out of the Power Exchange. If youre a man looking to pimp out your wardrobe, make a trip to the Union Sq location of Diesel, you wont be disappointed.

They gave me a really hard time about extending the 30 day return policy. I told them either extend the 30days to give me time to find an exchange or give me a full refund! they gave me one day!!! i should have taken the refund, but it was a gift and i wanted another diesel item to show my friend i apprecieted his generousity... but they wtf, i will never spend a penny at this store!
